Cozy, renovated holiday home near the lakes Kösen and Bolmen in Småland

This cozy holiday home in Annerstad, Småland, is located near the lakes Kösen and Bolmen. The house is the perfect starting point for experiencing the Småland nature, for making day trips and enjoying swimming and fishing or traveling to the coastal city of Halmstad.



The holiday house was once an old dwelling from the 19th century. The cottage is now renovated, but we have tried to preserve the original structure from the 1800s. Some rooms therefore have low ceiling heights. It has conveniences such as a washing machine, dishwasher, and wood-burning fireplace in the living room. There is also a wood-burning stove and a tiled stove, but unfortunately they cannot be used and are only there to preserve the old-fashioned feeling. Here you have good conditions for a delightful stay. The owner lives next to the holiday house, but the plots are separated by privacy screening.



The cabin has a small hallway, where you proceed into the living room with a fireplace, sofa bed, and bar table. From the living room, you can access a terrace that is perfect for grilling, having dinner, or simply enjoying the sun. From the terrace, you have a lovely view of beautiful fields with the forest behind. If you're lucky, you might see wild animals on the fields in the evening, such as deer and moose. The terrace is situated in a south/west direction, which means you have sunlight from lunch until sunset.



From the living room, you enter a fully modern kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, and kitchen table. From there, you have access to bedroom 1, which has a double bed.

Even the bathroom is connected to the kitchen and there is a washing machine, toilet, wardrobe, shower, and sink. There is also a steep staircase in the kitchen that leads you up to bedroom 2, where there are 2 single beds.



Things to see and do in Annerstad and surroundings. Within walking distance from the cottage, you can visit Annerstad Rectory where you can enjoy their wonderful wood-fired Italian pizza, coffee, and shop. From the cottage, there are opportunities for nice walks, and why not visit the old peat bog that is now a nature reserve. In the village of Skeen, located about 3 km from the cottage, there is a Steakhouse and a very nice beach. The nearest city is Ljungby, which is only a 10-minute drive away. Here you have the opportunity for shopping, restaurants, adventure pool, outdoor pool, mini-golf, bowling, disc golf, Sven Ljungberg Museum, fairy tale museum, and much more.



If you take the car, you can visit Elinge Elk Park within 20 minutes.

If you want to see the ruins of a medieval castle from the 14th century, you should visit Piksborg, which is located only 6 km from the cottage. Halmstad, a coastal city, is only 60 km away. If you want to travel by public transport, there is a bus stop within walking distance from the cottage that can take you to both Halmstad and Ljungby.
