Located on the first floor of the old forester’s house, this cozy apartment is ideal for couples or small families who want to relax in nature without sacrificing comfort. At 70 square meters, Forester’s House Apartment 2 can accommodate up to 4 people, offering a lovely blend of wood, warmth, and a forest atmosphere.

The bedroom features a double bed, and there is a separate living/sleeping area with a sofa and TV that can also be used as a sleeping space if needed. The heart of the apartment is the cozy kitchen-living room with a fireplace—here you can cook, gather together, and put your feet up after a hike. The kitchen is modernly equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and kettle.

From the balcony, you look out directly onto the greenery—ideal for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom is bright and functional with a shower and hairdryer; there is also a separate guest restroom.

The apartment is allergy-friendly and a non-smoking accommodation. Pets are not allowed. Parking is available directly on the property; two parking spaces are at your disposal. Towels and bed linens are included.

What you can experience around the Forsthaus

The Harz Mountains begin right at the doorstep of the Forsthaus. You can simply set off on foot—through the colorful deciduous forest, along small paths, past ancient trees. For those who prefer a more active experience: In winter, the Ramberg cross-country ski trail starts right at the house—ideal for cross-country skiing and beautiful winter hikes.

There’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area: the Teufelsmauer, the Rosstrappe, and Falkenstein Castle are all easily accessible by car. Places like Wernigerode, Blankenburg, and Quedlinburg are also worth a visit—with their old towns, half-timbered houses, and cozy cafés.

Just a few kilometers away lies Thale with the Harz Mountain Theater, the Hexentanzplatz, and the cable car—a real experience, especially on Walpurgis Night.

And if you’re in the mood for a special experience: Take the Brockenbahn, an old steam locomotive, for a leisurely ride up to the highest peak of the Harz Mountains.
