Welcome to Hus Thovid, a spacious and cosy holiday home near a swimming lake in Småland, located in Fagerhult in the heart of the region. The house is peacefully situated at the end of a cul-de-sac with views towards the village church and forest edge, combining nature, good facilities and short distances to lakes and excursion destinations.

With approximately 120 m² of living space, Hus Thovid accommodates up to 6 guests and features 3 separate bedrooms. This makes the house particularly suitable for families, couples or friends travelling together.

The bedrooms are furnished with high-quality beds and mattresses. Both double beds measuring 180 × 200 cm and single beds measuring 90 × 200 cm are available, allowing the sleeping arrangements to be divided comfortably among several guests.

The cosy living area with sofa and armchairs invites you to relax after a day outdoors. Especially on cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove creates a pleasant atmosphere and an authentic Swedish holiday-home feeling.

For entertainment, Wi-Fi, satellite TV with German channels, radio, DVD player, DVDs, books and board games are available. A desk is also provided.

The house also has air conditioning, ensuring pleasant indoor temperatures on warm summer days.

The separate kitchen has its own dining area and is extensively equipped for self-catering. Facilities include an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Crockery, cutlery and essential kitchen utensils are also provided.

The bathroom features a walk-in shower as well as a bathtub. A separate guest toilet is also available.

A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided for longer stays. An iron and ironing board are also included.

The holiday home is set on a property of approximately 1,000 m² with a garden and terrace. Here you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, share meals outdoors or spend a long Swedish summer evening together.

Bicycles are also available and offer a lovely way to explore Fagerhult and the surrounding countryside.

Children and babies are very welcome at Hus Thovid.

A particular advantage is the proximity to the water. A family-friendly swimming area can be reached in approximately 15 minutes on foot. There you will find a bathing jetty with diving tower as well as a designated area for non-swimmers – ideal for warm summer days.

Forests and small paths begin directly around Fagerhult and are ideal for hiking and cycling. Anglers will also find numerous opportunities in the lake-rich surroundings.

A supermarket for everyday essentials is located in Fagerhult. Further shopping opportunities, restaurants and cafés can be found in places including Åseda and Högsby.

Hus Thovid is also conveniently located for day trips. Families can visit Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren’s World.

Katthult, known from the film adaptations of Emil of Lönneberga, is another interesting destination.

Guests who would like to experience traditional Swedish craftsmanship can visit the famous Kingdom of Crystal with its historic glassworks around Kosta and other locations.

Several moose parks can also be found throughout the region.

For a day trip to the Baltic Sea, Kalmar with its historic old town and famous castle is a good destination. From there, the Öland Bridge also takes you directly to the island of Öland.

Up to 2 pets are welcome.

The house is a non-smoking property.

Electricity, water, firewood and bed linen are already included. Charging electric vehicles using the house’s electricity supply is not permitted.

2 private parking spaces are available directly at the house.
