There is nothing quite like Vawa anywhere in Fiji, the South Pacific, or, as far as anyone knows, the world. This is the northernmost island of the celebrated Yasawa archipelago — 75 acres of champagne sand, turquoise reef, and volcanic landscape, reserved entirely for your group.

You are not renting a villa. You are renting an entire private island — yours completely, with no neighbors, no resort, and nothing but open ocean in every direction.

THE ISLAND

Vawa is one of the very few genuine private island rentals available for exclusive hire in the South Pacific. No resort next door. No other guests. No shared beach. Every beach, reef, rock pool, and hilltop viewpoint belongs to your group for the duration of your stay.

The residence was designed by a Danish architect with a Malibu-modern aesthetic — floor-to-ceiling glass, polished concrete, reclaimed timber, and curated artwork. Four private king suites each open to the ocean or pool, each with an ensuite bathroom. Additional daybeds accommodate larger groups comfortably.

Activities on the island: snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, beach volleyball, natural rock pool swimming, hiking to the hilltop for views across the archipelago, wonder across the 75 acre island. So much exploration you can do right here on the island. We promise you will not run out of activities.


YOUR DAYS / NIGHTS

Sleep with the doors open. Wake to the sound of the Pacific. Snorkel straight from shore. Paddle across water so clear you can see the reef from the surface. Crack a coconut open from one of our hundreds of coconut trees and drink straight from it with a straw. Spend an afternoon in a hammock under the palms and do absolutely nothing. The island moves at your pace.

Vawa comes with a small, discreet island team housed at the back of the island — present when you need them, invisible when you do not. Housekeeping services including bed-making, linen changes, and general tidying are available on request. Tell us how you like things and we will take care of the rest without interrupting your stay.


THE KITCHEN & DINING

Vawa's fully equipped kitchen is yours for the duration of your stay. Whether you prefer to cook together, keep it simple, or bring your own provisions from the mainland, the space and equipment are ready for you.

We are happy to coordinate grocery shopping and delivery to the island on your behalf before arrival. Grocery costs and the logistics of getting them to Vawa are billed separately from your reservation. We will connect with you in advance to discuss your group's preferences, dietary needs, and budget and handle everything from there.
Selection may vary depending on what is available at the mainland market at the time of your stay — we will always do our best to source what you are looking for and communicate any limitations ahead of time.

If you would like meals prepared for you during your stay, private chef and catering arrangements can be made. Please inquire at the time of booking and we will put together the right option for your group.

Your island team is available by request, to handle kitchen cleanup and dishes after every meal — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — so the kitchen does not have to be your concern.


BEYOND THE ISLAND

The Yasawa archipelago surrounding Vawa is extraordinary, and we can help you experience as much or as little of it as you choose. All excursions and experiences beyond the island are available as add-ons and priced separately from your reservation — we will always be transparent about costs upfront.

The Sawa-i-Lau Caves are ancient limestone caverns with a cathedral-like main chamber open to the sky and an inner cave accessible by swimming through a submerged passage — made famous as a filming location for The Blue Lagoon.

Between May and October, giant oceanic manta rays with wingspans up to five or six meters pass through the channel near Drawaqa Island, one of the most reliable manta encounters in the South Pacific.

Scuba diving, surf charters, fishing, massage, and helicopter experiences can all be arranged. Let us know what interests your group before arrival and we will put together the right options, coordinate logistics, and have everything ready for you.

We will help with travel coordination from Nadi International. Take a 45 minute helicopter that will drop you off on the beach of the Island or a few hour boat that will tour you through the Fiji archipelago before we pick you up on our boat that will take you to the Island.

This is not a resort, and it is not simply a vacation home. Privacy at Vawa is absolute and geographical — completely removed from commercial flight paths, standard shipping lanes, and mainland foot traffic.

The Island is yours for as long as you want to make it be.

Guests have full, exclusive access to the Malibu modern home, the pool and the entire 75 acre private Island during their stay.

1. Please ensure your guest count is accurate. Pricing is dependent on the number of guests.
2. Smoking is not permitted inside the residence.
3. Concierge service is included with your stay. If there is anything we can arrange or assist with before your arrival, please don't hesitate to let us know. Our team is happy to help make your island experience as seamless and memorable as possible.
4. Children & Families : Families traveling with children are warmly welcome. We do ask that all guests with children under 18 disclose the ages of children in their group at the time of booking so we can prepare the property appropriately and flag any relevant safety considerations.

Vawa Island is a natural, open environment and parents and guardians should be aware of the following conditions before arrival:
- The swimming pool has no perimeter fencing
- The deck and elevated outdoor areas have no guardrails
- Every bedroom and living room opens with direct access to the beach and ocean
- The island terrain includes uneven surfaces, rocks, and tidal areas that are not modified or fenced
- Open water surrounds the property on all sides

These are the natural characteristics of a private island setting and are part of what makes Vawa extraordinary. They also require that children be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
