The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. We wish we had know how difficult it was to get up to the bus. Sonja was a wonderful host and met us at the house. Her neighbor was so helpful. We would recommend her home to anyone visiting interlaken.

Very beautiful view and nice apartment

We enjoyed out 3-night stay a lot. The apartment is just like the photos. It has fantastic view of the lake. It's very clean. The host is very friendly and always response to my messages fast. The location is practical as a base with visit the region. Would definitely come again if we will be visiting Jungfrau region again.

Our stay at the chalet above Lake Thun was nothing short of unforgettable. The views from the chalet were absolutely breathtaking — a sweeping panorama of Lake Thun framed by the majestic Alps. Every morning felt like waking up in a postcard.The chalet itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional Swiss charm with modern comfort. Everything was impeccably clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped. We especially loved the balcony where we enjoyed coffee at sunrise and wine at sunset, soaking in the peace and beauty all around us.Our host was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The location was ideal for exploring nearby gems like Interlaken, Spiel. We took the bus to get into Interlaken West to get to the train station with no issue. If you're looking for a serene, luxurious escape with unbeatable views and a touch of Swiss magic, this chalet is the place. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming of returning.

Quiet home with beautiful view.

The host was wonderful. She made sure check in was smooth and easy with very detailed photos on how to access the home. The best part of the morning was the fresh ground coffee available and delicious Swiss chocolates the host provided. There’s great hiking trails around too and easy access to the bus. There was minimal spices too, which is a rarity now with home rentals. This home also had that “someone actually lives here” feeling that most rentals are now lacking.

Wow what a view and place to stay

Words cannot describe the phenomenal view of the Lake Thun and surrounding mountains. Sonja met us at the apartment to show us around and pointed and gave us the names of the mountains. The apartment has great amenities, is very clean. The washer and dryer came in handy as did the 2.5 bathrooms. Would stay here again.

My thoughts

This is a beautiful place to stay. If you are looking for a little break from reality then this is your place. The views are breathtaking!! It’s is very clean and pleasant. The only point I would make is that it may be useful to have some extra pillows.

Our stay in Beatenberg Mättli Chalet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beatenberg. Sonja, our host was waiting for us when we arrived and explained all the ins and out of the appliances. The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean and modern with beautiful views of the Alps and Lake of Thun. Beatenberg is at about 3500 feet over the lake. There is a bus stop nearby which involves a short bit of climbing to get to. I can highly recommend this property for your Swiss getaway. We look forward to when we can come back!

Up on the hill, the BIG, PERSPECTIVE

No one complained about the drive u the hill to this heavenly home. We took so many pictures of the breathtaking view right out the floor to ceiling wall of windows.Our first night we took a walk up the street and made friends with the sheep and the cat. Beware!!Host is very rude and treats you very badly

Difficult to find the apartment because the host’s English is not good so directions were confusing, we even tried to call her but her phone was not reachable , it is quite far from Interlaken so please keep that in mind The house was clean and the view is good Sonja was there as we arrived and guided us through the house showing us every switch and button and Do’s and Donts She specifically asked us when we would check out The hot water went and we stayed for a day without it, we reached out to Sonja but no reply from her end Luckily my husband figured out the problem in the switch board and fixed it otherwise we would have been without it for our entire stay We had an early morning flight and were surprised to see a car had blocked our car at 4.30 am at the time of check out It was Sonja she came to the house and took half an hour to check the entire house delaying us for the flight We had left some dishes in the dishwasher to be cleaned and were going to start it before going, she made a big deal out of it and for that she charged a big amount . According to her it was written in a paper which was kept at one place and not handed to us, not everyone has a habit of reading We had no other option but to pay as we had a flight to catch We had kept the apartment very clean and untouched even with a small baby She was so rude, my baby was sleeping, he had high fever and she barged in the room was making so much noise without any consideration for a small baby If you want to get insulted stay in this house Also she charged us a hefty amount as city tax for which she didn’t give receipt

zu dieser Bewertung kann ich und will ich keine Stellung nehmen, da ich bis heute nur, wirklich nur positive Beurteillungen hatte. in meiner Wohnung gibt es eine Hausordnung, die beachtet und befolgt werden muss , von allen Gästen.

Tout c est déroulé à la perfection, le logement est très bien équipé 5 étoiles avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et le lac. Très propre très confortable et Sonja est très disponible et aimable. Un sans faute !

Bei dieser Wohnung kann man lange überlegen, aber es gibt keinen Punkt den ich kritisieren könnte. Ausstattung und Service sind nicht zu überbieten. Der bei der Ankunft defekte Kaffevollautomat wurde noch während des Aufenthalts repariert und ein Ersatzgerät zur Verfügung gestellt. Es war alles perfekt, außer dem Wetter.

Liebe Sonja, vielen Dank, das wir in deinem Haus diese wunderschöne Wohnung anmieten durften. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und auch mit vielerlei Kücheninventar ausgestattet. Das Frühstück haben wir auf der großen Terrasse genossen, mit dem Blick auf Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau , sowie den Thuner See. Bedanken möchten wir uns, daß wir bei der Anreise eine Std. früher in die Wohnung kommen durften und viel an Auskunft über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, Gastronomie und sehenswertes von Sonja erhalten haben. Alles verlief unkompliziert und zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. L.G. Wilfried.

What an amazing stay

What an amazing apartment this was. When you first walk in, you immediately see how well the apartment is put together and maintained. It was immaculate. The appliances are high quality. The living areas were all comfortable and I just can't say enough about the patio. We spent an enormous amount of our time there. It's comfortable, shaded (if you want) and has an absolute amazing view. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I just can't say enough about the apartment. My family and I are already talking about going back next year. Thank you, Sonja.

Clean, cozy, comfortable , spacious rental with absolutely gorgeous view.

We were very pleased with our stay in Beatenberg. Having never been to Switzerland before, we had no expectations but staying at this property exceeded anything we could have hoped for. Sonja was very accommodating and friendly and was there when we arrived. Just a few suggestions that might make it more comfortable and convenient for the next person(s). We were required to pay a 60 franc city tax fee which wasn't mentioned in the listing. That meant we had to find a bank in Interlaken to exchange the currency. It would be nice if that was included in the price. The bedding in the bedrooms was unique. There were no sheets, just pillow shams and a comforter with a duvet insert. The suggestion would be to have sheets and pillows with pillow cases for sleeping. Finding the location was a little tricky. It mentions coming to a green bucket with a mirror. This literally is a dog poop container on the side of the road. The mirror is on top so you can see oncoming cars from the opposite direction. The address of the property is actually #72. I had to ask a neighbor if she new Sonja and she directed me. It is on the curve (or corner) of the street. as indicated. Lastly, I asked Sonja about the washer and dryer. I think she said it wasn't included but I could be wrong. She spoke better English than my German but I may have misunderstood her. She ended up showing me where the units were and how to use them but they were in a storage room next to the house which was accessible and used by others below and above us. Made it kind of uncomfortable but we were able to use them nonetheless. I would also suggest stopping at the Information Center in Beatenberg. They (Kimberly) were very helpful and friendly and spoke English. Overall, we loved our stay in Beatenberg/Interlaken. Great access to the Jungfrau Region and Bern. We would definitely stay there again.
