Overall, this property was good and it served my 3 week stay purposes adequately. I got married dWhat I liked?1. Great shower2. TV 3. 2 times per week housekeeping. The major issues ...1. The size of the unit is / was too small for 2 people especially when cooking and doing laundry regularly. For those not familiar with Nairobi, there are NEVER clothes dryers in apartments, and no matter how many times you spin out your clothes in the combo wash / dry machine they still need to line dry somewhere in the unit either on the porch or on a clothes drying rack.2. The gym and pool are indeed present in the building, and the description of the unit on VRBO never says that using these amenities requires an extra fee limited access hours. 3. Many apartments in Nairobi account for electric use via a pre-paid credits format, not postpaid. My fiance is Kenyan and she was able to communicate well with the housekeeper about how to "top up" the electric credits when needed. There were no warnings about this in the unit, nor written instructions about how to top up. This electric credits status should have been better managed by the owner / management group. Why should a renter have to be concerned that electricity credits are about to expire? And yes, we were reimbursed for what we spent. However, still clumsy and not the typical "thing" when one rents a short stay apartment.
