Place unsanitized and unprepared
We prepaid for this vacation 30 days in advance per owner's requirements via Chase QP (it's like paying with cash) because the owner knows a friend of mine and he is a graduate of RSA (aka Chafets Chaim). About 6 hours before we arrived, we called the manager to notify him of the approx time of our arrival and make sure to be there to provide us with keys.
When we arrived, we had to call the manager as nobody was there who gave us a code to the door which worked. He also advised me that the place was infested with water bugs because the previous tenant left the water running for a few days because the manager turned it off. He said "I didn't want to call the exterminator because you have children so I took care of it myself by killing all the water bugs" Needless to say, we found a few live water bugs and geckos in our bedrooms and in the kitchen. We informed the owner who promised to take care of it first thing in the morning. The place itself was not prepared: pool table had a dirty stain so it was disgusting to play with, the water pool was not clean, half of the outlets in the house did not work. When I informed the manager that I found a set of keys on the bed, but they did not work, he said "it must be from previous tenant who left them there". The question begs itself: Did you prepare new sheets? The outdoor lighting was not ready for Shabbat observance. As I walk by a light, it would turn on and turn off immediately as I would walk away. I informed the manager and he said he'll take care of it before Shabbat.
Around midnight, when we found a few more live water bugs, we tried reaching out to the owner to inform him we're moving out completely to a hotel and want our money back. He called us 16 hours later to let us know he refuses to refund the money because it is our fault to move out, he would've had the bugs killed the next day.
He refuses to go to Beit Din, even though he is a graduate of RSA. Shame how he got a Smicha there. My advice, do not trust this owner!
We stayed here for my daughters wedding. Six adults, 2 children and 2 toddlers. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was perfect and everyone enjoyed the ping pong table.
Spacious home in great location
We rented this house for our family that was going to be in town for a wedding. The location was perfect for us. The house was well equipped and supplied. We appreciated the pool fence which is essential if you have little children. The pool and back yard was beautiful. Although we didn't use them, there were several grills available. The kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely updated.
There were some minor maintenance issues that we reported and got a responsive acknowledgment from both the owner and the manager. We would rent this house again if the need arises.
The house was perfect for my family trip. Very nice interior of house, gorgeous pool, ping pong and pool tables, plenty of sleeping space, very clean, and kosher and family friendly. Had all of the amenities needed for a baby (pack n play/ high chair/ some toys....) and made kosher eating a breeze with fully stocked pots, pans , grill, etc. which was separate and locked away from the rest of the non kosher kitchen appliances. I would definitely look to stay here again with my family.
