à propos de cet hébergement
Vintage-styled 1-bedroom apartment in delightful Dexter with AC
1-bedroom apartment with private entrance located next to the grocery store and literally a few steps from downtown. A vintage-styled set of rooms with many recent updates. Close to Lake Wassookeag and on the local ATV trail network. The Rail Trail is just across the street. There is a large back yard and picnic table. Come enjoy middle Maine in a comfortable spot close to all of the conveniences.
On the second floor overlooking some of Dexter's historic buildings. There is an entrance on the garage side with keyless, punch-code entry that leads upstairs. The overall theme is a bit woodsy, vintage, with photographs of old Dexter and art from local artists. We have tried to Dexter-fy the place with all the best things from town, with the help from some of the great folks at the Historical Society.
Enter the apartment into a small-ish but cozy living room with a smart TV, board games, magazines, and books available. Next room is the large, retro kitchen, equipped with a microwave, toaster, full-sized refrigerator, an intriguing vintage but like-new electric stove with bakelite push-button operation. In the cupboards and counters there are also dishes (paper and real), frying pans, pots, coffee maker, tea kettle, tea, some snacks. The LED lights can be adjusted for color and brightness with the remote control and buttons by the sink. Choose your lighting color and mood!
Next is the bedroom, freshly painted and furnished with a vanity/desk and featuring a wifi booster and ethernet option if you want to plug in for work or stream. The sheets are usually Nautica or Eddie Bauer cotton percale style. Wifi is included and easy to access. There are more color LED light features in the bedroom and many added places for convenient plugin of traditional plugs and USB. The bathroom is en-suite, rather small, but recently updated and outfitted, including an LED-lit shower head where the water flows through lava rocks and a bamboo wooden floor liner.
We can accommodate long stays for workers and travelers! We are new to hosting, but keep figuring out how to offer more.
Laundry service is available. There is a bin in the living room closet that is the right size for one load you can stuff full and leave outside your door and send a quick message in the app that says 'laundry, please!' or similar for full service wash/dry/fold at $20 per bin/load.
There is a large backyard with a picnic table and room for yard games. If you want to borrow some just let me know. I have badminton, croquet, bocce, ball toss and ring toss games.
Right now we are keeping the calendar open only until the end of October 2025 while we see how this adventure works out, but that time window may be expanded in the future!
