The Xindian River winds through Bitan, forming a wide river bend surrounded by cliffs and hills. This peaceful, emerald-green lake inspired the name "Bitan," which means "Beautiful Bay." Historic calligraphy by Sun Ke (former president of the Examination Yuan) is carved into the cliffs, and the nearby "Biting Pavilion" adds charm to the scenic landscape.
