"Sea la Vie!" is a 872 square foot historic single story Family Home managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate and is the perfect beach location to bring the ENTIRE family of surfers, sun-seekers and MORE! This 2 bed and 2 bath is just five blocks from our sandy shores, a 3 block walk to CB Lake and a quick jaunt to the <3 of downtown CB with all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!
Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Itâs a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! Itâs an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The home is in the heart of Carolina Beach and a short walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach youâve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmerâs Market every Saturday and FIREWORKS every Thursday. We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!
This home is a mixture of the original âperiodâ construction and old-world charm, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and todayâs technology because hey, thereâs got to be something for everyone! Everything the owner has done, FUN and guest enjoyment is at the heart of the owners mission for "SEA la Vie"! Above all else, it should feel like your âhome away from homeâ while vacationing with us on our Island!
The entry to this 2 bedroom/ 2 bath home opens into a furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and more). The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, and coffer maker ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!).
As you pass the living room on your right and kitchen on the left and continue through the homes central hallway, immediately on your left sits the linen closet with a stacked washer and dryer to stay beachy clean! As you continue through the hallway, you first encounter Bedroom #1 with 1 Twin + Twin bunk bed. As you continue down the hallway, you'll encounter both bedroom #2 (with a Queen bed). A Full size pullout couch in the family room provides a little extra space to accommodate a few more (wave) crashers!
Out into your backyard, you're treated to a peaceful woodsy juxtaposition despite being steps from the SEA, providing a fun and unique experience that will surely bring ample smiles and sea memories for all!
The home's ONE QUEEN, FULL+TWIN Bunk and QUEEN pullout consist of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8â memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge.
A few of the amenities provided by your Owners include courtesy large shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!
Neighborhood description
Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is five blocks away from the ocean, three blocks from CB Lake, and a short walk from Downtown CB with its shops, activities, and dining.
Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesnât even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less âadventureâ is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!
Guest access
The YARD: The backyard is intended to congregate, BBQ, play, and have a blast.
The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private HOME (never shared) along with a private deck/patio/yard.
PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (2) TWO assigned parking spaces.
âąClosest BEACH access: Spartanburg Public Beach Access (Spartanburg Ave).
Getting around
There isnât anywhere or anything on our Island that isnât accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Rentals @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagniâs Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxiâs (local golf cart taxiâs) and Uberâs are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!
After all, you wonât catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!
Interaction with guests
I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Amyâs Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens.

(Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE included as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! Carolina Beach
The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

Parking Lots $ 6/hour or $25/day
Premium Parking Lots $ 7/hour or $35/day
Bus, Limo, and oversized vehicle $10/hour or $40/day

With Time Restrictions $ 5/hour
Weekly Parking Permits $100
Available for purchase at Town Hall, the Parking Office (open 7 days a week) and online.
GOLF CARTS
âąTo the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFRâs or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCIâS (which are code by todayâs standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.
âąALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.
âą SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience.
âąNO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!
