Good stay, centrally located. Friendly and helpful staff and neighbors. Pool under construction. Host is accommodating and compassionate. Will be heading back my next Ochi vacation

Very Nice Place Well Situated

McFarlane’s Place was just as it was advertised, in the heart of the city within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. The place was as pictured and the bed was comfy. There was a nice little balcony where I watched the fireworks from on New Year’s Eve. Ms. Cherry was very friendly and helpful.

Ocho Rios Golden Gem

This was the first time for my wife and I to travel to Jamaica. The McFarlane's Place was in a perfect location to everything that we wanted to see and do. It's on the flats for easy walking on the boardwalk by the ocean where the cruise ships come in. Island Village was right across the street with lots of shops and the famous Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville. My wife's friend back home in Canada is from St. Anne's Parish and we were able to drive up to his homestead way up in the beautiful hills. Our host was easy to communicate with as well as the housekeeper. Our stay here in Ocho Rios was amazing and we will definately be back to stay here again.

Beautiful

The apartment is just as pictured and describe, the housekeeper Ms.Cherry is a plus she make sure you are comfortable at all times. My only problem was the natural light in the bedroom too bright I would suggest a curtain that blocks light for persons who want to sleep late .

Very close to the Ocho Rios Port

The property is really lovely nice right next to the port, lovely amenities and comfortable bed, pictures are true to the website. Only issue I had was the contact person was late and cut into the time I had available to enjoy the property. But the owner was real helpful in resolving the situation and we really enjoyed the apartment.

Great stay would definitely return!!!

First i must say this was not my first time to Jamaica. I have stayed at other properties before, this 2 bedroom unit being very nice and reasonable in the Ocho Rios area. Now by the looks of the outside it doesn't look to inviting but i assure you the inside of the McFarlane place is very well decorated with ample seating for nights you may dine in. The beds in both rooms very comfortable, along with the coach. It has a nice size patio with some chairs for sitting. The AC unit works very good and if you need a fan it can be made available for your use. Now here is the reason that makes it so special the owner would now and then call to make sure everything was going well, to ensure our stay was going smoothly, I even had to change dates at one point, the owner was very accommodating. Now let me tell you about Miss Cherry our maid who was always around when we needed her she was kind and we instantly liked her friendliness. Also I would like to mention within a day of being there the owner had supplied us with some juice and water which was a nice touch. The Mcfarlane place is centrally located to many shops and restaurants and if you want nightlife it is also nearby. The property also has a nice size pool to dip into after a day at the beach or sightseeing. The property is quiet but there is always someone new to meet. Thanks again we cant wait to return real soon!!!! Forgot to mention it also has free wifi

From the beginning, it's like we know each other a long time and so it was very easy to accommodate you. That is the type of environment I want for my guests, to feel as if they haven't left their home. You are a very pleasant, honest and understanding person and I appreciate you for that. Miss Cherry has been a treasure to me and I am very happy to know that you appreciated her hard work and dedication to what she does. She will go out of her way to make the guests happy and satisfied. The building, the units were built in the early seventies and they are in the process of upgrading them. There was no real security on the property.. the main door to the building was always open.

The building needs a lot of maintenance. Did not feel safe. Got stuck in elevator for a minute.

Hello Annmarie I am sorry you did not feel safe on the property. Security is always very tight, I don't know what happened, but will bring to the attention of management. As to the exterior of the building, they are in the process of renovating the complex. It will take some time, it's an old building built in 1971. Fortunately everything about the apt was exceptional . It was clean, stylish & roomy.

The property is conveniently located within walking distance to many attractions, shopping centers, restaurants, and the beach. Minor concerns were attended to promptly by Melody, Owner. Melody is very patient & understanding.

I am happily married  5 1/2 years now to the love of my life, who I have known over 20 yrs. We have one son Joel -James and another boy Jonah-nathaniel due to be born on August 2nd and a step-daughter and step-son.
My husband and I love to travel, we do not like to stay in all-inclusive hotels because it takes away the fun of going into town and meeting the locals. We also like to eat out at different restaurants. We are Christians, so we like to visit local churches. We are very simple people who just like to relax, after all we work very hard. When guests come to McFarlane's Place, I want them to be relaxed and feel at home.

I want when guests stay at McFarlane's Place for them to feel comfortable and wanting of nothing. This complex location is so unique in regards to the proximity to the town center, and the beach among other attractions.

McFarlane's Place is right in the Ochi town center. Guests can get a bite to eat at Mamarlie's, Scochie's  restaurant and Margaritaville among others which is just 200 meters from the property. Top attractions area are Dunn's River Falls, Konoko Falls and park and Mystic Mountain which are just 10 minutes or less from property.
