Family adventure

The strengths: perfectly located place with great sleeping arrangements for a family of four. There were several restaurants, a grocery store and a cab station all nearby. The weaknesses: The check in was a challenge because I didn’t realize that I didn’t have the full instructions until we were trying to obtain access to the place. The place was not at all decorated like the pictures so it felt more like a college dorm room. All and all, it was a decent place to relax, sleep and prepare for a day of exploring.

Excellent location

This property was perfect for our visit in Roma. The property is located close to lots of eateries, there is a small cafe right downstairs. The AC was wonderfully refreshing during the hot days and warm night.

Great for families or a romantic getaway

I'm late with my review- we stayed in April 2015- (the review calendar won't let me go back two years, so I put 2016.) but Simone was very helpful and the apartment was wonderful so I wanted to be sure to add a review! We managed to comfortably fit our family of seven! in this small space, thanks to the configuration of the beds and rooms. It was very close to Vatican, however, the reason I can't give 5 stars is the photo advertising that has a view of a large portion of the top of the duomo from one of the bedrooms wasn't accurate at all- you can barely see the tip of it. Also wifi was iffy. The view of the beautiful courtyard though is accurate! With that said, the apartment was clean, cute, safe, modernly decorated and updated had the essentials to make food there as well. Simone also gave unique ideas where to go and eat. We particularly fell in love with the family who owns the cafe next to the entry of this apartment! Hard working, lovely, honest, fun, kind, helpful folks who have two young adult sons who are hard working and helpful as well. Make sure when you stay here you have a cappucino, toast, prosecco etc with them and tell them The Sessions family said Ciao! ❤ We would come back and use again! Thank you!

Good apartment for family stay in Rome

It is a very good apartment for your stay in Rome. The location is excellent! Vatican and St.Peter is just around the corner. Close to resturants and bars. Subway is two blocks away. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. The only thing makes me hesitated to give five stars is the WiFi. It is not stable and you need to try many times to be connected. But it might be the case in Rome. Don't want to complain too much on this.

Second Time - Twice as Nice

We stayed here as a family of 5 in summer 2013, and had such a positive experience then, we were happy to return in December, 2016. Great location near Vatican City, in a very secure setting. Everything about the listing is accurate. Fully functional kitchen, 1 full bath, and attentive owner. The only thing we could improve upon would be an added bathroom, but adjusting to this simply reminded us how fortunate we are to have modern conveniences at home. This owner fully utilizes the HomeAway App which is a masterstroke for traveling in today's times. The owner is very easy to work with and responsive. We were surprised this already very modern property in 2013 was redecorated anew for this trip. We expect to return to Rome again in 2019 and will likely try to stay here again.

Perfect location

We were in Rome for 4 days and this apartment was perfect for that amount of time. The location was fantastic and the apartment was neat and clean. However it could do with a little love. The toilet seat was broken, as was the shower guard which meant that every time we showered the bathroom was soaked. There is also only 1 mirror, which is in the bathroom, a mirror in both bedrooms would really help. Little things but they would make a big difference.

Great Rome & Vatican location, spacious suite. Everything you need

The place is very clean and has most everything to make your Rome stay just like home. The kitchen is basic, but you can make all your meals easily. The unit is probably 80 sq meters and each bedroom is huge. The Vatican is just around the corner, the Musee is 5 min walk, the Ottaviano metro station is 5 min and St Peter Square is 10 min. And there are dozens of restaurants around. The windows open into a quiet courtyard. Our hosts Simone and Carmen, were very responsive to any need and made our stay trouble-free. We hd a minor problem with the internet and it was fixed by the time we returned for the day. Just be sure you have their email or phone numbers for SMS to communicate. You will really enjoy it here as well.

Can't recommend

I recently stayed at the apt with my family July 2016. I texted the owner at around 12noon that we would be arriving at 8pm that day just so he knew. When we arrived at 8:30pm the apt had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. We had just traveled from Venice and wanted to have dinner, unpack and go to bed. We were asked to wait 1 hour for the cleaning person to come and change the sheets - at least. By 9:30pm we were able to leave and have dinner. Someone came the next morning to clean which was good but you hate to have someone in your space once you have unpacked all of your belongings. Simone was sorry and promised some credit or free something, but I never got anything back. Additionally, the bathroom is not very functional. There is no toilet paper holder, no towel hooks and half the glass shower door is missing so expect all of the items in the bathroom to get wet. There is also only 1 mirror in entire apt and it is in the bathroom which is caused us to hurry each other up in the bathroom. Pretty simple fix I would think. Also, the pillows are so flimsy that when you put your head down all the stuffing moves to either side. Again, pretty easy fix?? I had read the previous reviews and would have assumed those items people complained about months earlier would have been fixed by the owner -but no. When we arrived there was only 1 opened, and flattened roll of toilet paper and no paper towels. There are still no instructions on how to use the washing machine in English - and no dryer. You would think it would be straight forward but it's not like anything in the US. The owner just doesn't seem very customer service oriented. We traveled through several cities in Europe and this was the only disappointing stay we had. Can't recommend.

A very nice stay!

It was our first time to Rome and the Vatican. Choosing the right place somewhere that is not familiar to you is always challenging, as it is a critical part of an enjoyable experience. Staying at Simone´s place was great, as it was easily accessible, well located and very comfortable. It was easy to communicate with Simone who was also attentive and helpful with our questions. "Mypad" is located a couple of blocks from the Vatican and surrounded by just about anything one might need. This included the incredible sights, restaurants, and other essentials. We would gladly repeat here in the future. AS

Beautiful, quiet, lovely place in Rome!

Central, comfortable good value

Great central location on top floor and a small lift. Very well equipped including a washing machine. Comfortable beds, quiet surroundings. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the lack of a cooker - 2 rings only but this would not bother everybody. Highly recommended

Perfect Location

The apartment was around the corner from the Vatican Museum entrance as advertised. Almost anything we needed was a block away; great restaurants, grocery stores, gelato, pubs, pharmacy, ATM, metro. The interior of the apartment was tastefully designed and everything worked; Wi-Fi, kitchen appliances, AC. Simone was quick to respond to every question via email and text (whatsapp). He even suggested a great jazz club when I asked him if he knew of a place to listen to live music (shout out to Gregory's Jazz Club on Via Gregoriano). I will recommend this property to friends and family. Thanks!

Very nice.

Great location! Easily accessible by metro. Only like 4 stops from Termini and other central stops like Trevi Fountain, Spagna (Spanish steps). Great little neighborhood just outside the grind of central Rome. Actually getting into the property for the first time was a challenge for me since I was traveling from Africa and didnt have a cell phone to communicate with the owner for access. But once I did get there it was very nice apartment. A few recommendations: 1. Provide instructions to washer/dryer in English. 2. Provide a map of neighborhood interests. We located a wonderful mercato on the next the last day that was amazing. 3. Recommend which key to take so in the event the door doesn't work we can still gain access without bugging you. 4. Provide detailed instructions for arrival. I.e. arriving by plane, options. By train, options.

Accommodating and great location

Simone was very accommodating, letting us drop off our luggage, getting us bedding as needed. If you are looking for a place to just drop off your stuff and go this place is perfect place for that and a great location, if you are looking for a place to lay around and relax, not so much. It was perfect for my family, because we were about getting ready and going for the day.

Clean, spacious and convenient!

One of my daughters was studying abroad, so we took advantage of meeting up in Rome. The location was two blocks from the Metro, which was very convenient and right next to the Vatican! Could get a better location. The apartment had two spacious bedrooms and the beds were comfortable. We hardly stayed inside, so we never used the fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom had a broken mirror when we arrived, but we didn't mind. I'm sure it was fixed soon after. We left the apartment every morning by 8am and arrived home late at night. We felt very safe in the area! Would definitely rent this apartment again.

Always count on this wonderful condo!

The poor owner was presented with some challenges this trip. A previous renter had damaged the unit and we were in it the following day. He had all the repairs done within a few of days which was very difficult for him as he was not nearby.He got it done and the suite was back to the wonderful condition that we remembered it to be. For our inconvenience he altered the rent slightly and that just made everyone happy... turning this not so happy story into one that leaves great memories... Thank-you for being so responsible Simone!!! See You next year, God willing :)

Great location.

A great location, close to Vatican, and bus, metro. Nice restaurant s near by, as well as small convenience stores. Clean and spacious. My only complaint was the lack of what I consider essentials....no hand soap in bathroom, no blanket for extra bed. This was requested, but they sent up two sets of sheets. Owner has a limited command of English, so this may have accounted for the mix up. Lovely balcony, small kitchen, but essentials were provided.

Overpriced, especially with the additional fees you don't see until you book

The living area is small as shown in the photos. The bedrooms are a good size, and a very nice balcony for smokers and sitters.

Great apt near metro restaurants and the Vatican

This was a great choice for two friends traveling. It had everything we needed including a coffee maker a washing machine and was perfectly situated in the city. Our host Simone was helpful and attentive. I would stay here again.

A great place to stay near the Vatican

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for two weeks in July. The apartment is in a perfect location for visiting the Vatican, just two or three blocks away from the Vatican Museum. There are lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and small grocery stores in the area. And it is just a few blocks away from a metro stop. We found the apartment to be very clean and well appointed. It was also very safe and secure. It's very hot in Rome in July and we were very grateful to have good AC in the apartment. We would definitely stay there again. The one thing that might be improved is if there were more instructions given on operating various appliances and so forth and if there are any English speaking channels on the TV. However, the owner is very available by email and text.

Fantastic location

This was our first family trip to Europe (me, wife, 2 daughters 13yo and 15yo) and Simone's place was fantastic. Great location just a few minute walk to the Vatican and easy access to shops, restaurants (L'Insalata Ricca was quite nice) and the Metro (Ottaviano stop). This was our home base to see the Vatican, Coloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Parthenon and it did not disappoint. As a previous reviewer noted, the view of the Basilica is not the view from the suite, but other than that the pictures accurately described the unit. It was a great start to our European vacation and we would definitely stay here again.
