Enjoy a spacious living area with a comfy sofa, large flat-screen TV, and high-speed WiFi. Need extra sleeping space? The sofa converts into a bed. A dedicated workspace with a desk and chair makes it easy to stay productive.

Located in a vibrant neighborhood near top restaurants and shops, this retreat boasts hardwood floors, contemporary décor, and abundant natural light.

Quaint, no frills upper level apartment

The overall experience was surprisingly great. We were a little worried after reading some bad reviews because of the house smelling like smoke. It didn’t. In fact, it smelled super clean and fresh. It is a cute little, older, clean 3 bedroom apartment above a building in a downtown neighborhood. So cute!

Need to be cleaned badly

The property needs to be cleaned. When first arriving I wiped down the kitchen counter and it had dried sticky stuff all over. The cupboard doors are filthy, there are no dish cloths or towels, how are you supposed to wash the dishes? No washcloths in the bathroom, no condiments in the kitchen other than sugar. I wiped off the light switch cover in the bathroom to see if it was stained, nope, just needed to be cleaned, really dirty. I gave 2 stars because the air conditioning worked well and the sheets were clean.

Extremely misleading listing – very disappointing experience

Our VRBO experience began with excellent communications with the property owner and very clear instructions about where to park and how to gain access to the apartment. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were shocked by how misrepresented this apartment was compared to the online photos. The entrance we were instructed to use was filthy, setting the tone for the rest of our experience. Inside, the furniture was stained, the carpets were dirty and stained, and the bedspreads had large, visible marks. A closet door was hanging off the rail, and the lighting and overall cleanliness looked nothing like the bright, welcoming images on the website – clearly edited or taken a long time ago.The most upsetting part was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the bedroom, which made it completely unusable. We contacted the owner immediately to express our concerns and let him know the place was not in livable condition. Unfortunately, he never addressed our concerns.This left us scrambling to find alternate accommodations in Chicago over a busy holiday weekend – a situation no traveler wants to be in. We booked this place, expecting comfort and cleanliness, and instead ended up in an incredibly stressful and disappointing situation. I would strongly caution others to avoid this listing.Thankfully, VRBO customer support was very helpful and, ultimately, our money was refunded to us.

This was the absolute worst experience. We could not even stay one night due the smell and dirtiness of the unit. It was honestly just filthy. The unit is also unsafe due to an access to an attic space that’s not properly secured. The host ignored any requests for assistance and refused to refund my stay. VRBO stated they couldn’t do anything. Beware and do not stay here

Not what pictures look like in person

The entrance to the house was immediately off-putting—bottles and trash were scattered across the ground. As we climbed the stairs, we noticed the front door and screen were broken and hanging loose.Inside, we let the kids choose their rooms, but had to rearrange the front room due to a broken window that had been patched with bubble wrap and tape. The furniture was stained, and one chair had a broken leg, which we avoided using. The carpet throughout was heavily stained as well.The bathroom was in poor condition, with mold covering the tub and long black hair left in the shower. Towels had yellow stains, so we used only the ones that appeared clean. No face towels were provided.The kitchen was built on a noticeable slope, and the countertops were dirty. The floors had dead bugs and felt grimy, so we kept our shoes on at all times while inside.The one redeeming feature was the location—it was conveniently close to a bus stop, which we used throughout our stay. The bus and rail pass turned out to be perfect for this trip.

Such Fun!

Property was large and comfortable with typical Chicago apartment layout. Neighborhood was EXCELLENT!!! Walkable to bars restaurants, coffee, library, cute neighborhoods. Convenient drive to everywhere. We Really Really enjoyed our stay.
