Property was very clean, bed comfortable, property manager and owner very welcoming and responsive. We would definitely stay at home if we were to return to area.
We are 3 Kiters visiting La Ventana for the first time that did not want to stay in the middle of town. The view from the windows and the upstairs patio were perfect of the sea of Cortez in front of us and the beautiful mountains surrounding us. We wanted a feel of being in a community of locals and not a hotel or resort feel. It suited our needs perfectly.
The house was just perfect for relaxing. We stayed for 1 week and it was walking distance from restaurants and the beach.
Alejandro was amazing answering all our questions and he did go completely out of his way to make us comfortable and welcome.
We absolutely recommend, and probably will be visiting again in the future.
Thank you Steve and a thousand thank you Alejandro!!!

it's a bit tricky finding the place but our host, Alejandro, was above and beyond helpful!
Alejandro was so responsive and helpful when we had small issues. We absolutely loved our stay in this casita. the rooftop space is perfect for coffee at sunrise and happy hour for sunset. We felt the kitchen was well stocked- the only thing we missed was a lime squeezer. it's a great location- walkable to Oscaritos grocery store and the best beaches fro wind fun! We absolutely plan to return next year for longer. We are thankful for this great casita and kind host
The Casita is perfect and equipped for a short or long stay. A million dollar sun rise. You must have a car to enjoy this location. Find the local fish store. We lived off shrimp , tuna and Dorado. Las Palmas is the goto local restaurant. Great views to go with amazing food. When opened the barbecued chicken at the bottom of the street is amazing. Ask for directions to fig beach for kiting. Hot springs beach also for the kite. On no wind days you must visit the light house beach. It's spectacular. Visit this area before the developers find it. All good and worth a long visit.
Just up the hill, @ 1/4-1/2 mile from several kiting locations (Fig Tree, and Las Palmas).
Great vantage point for quickly sizing up when the wind is coming in the morning.
A few things are in need of repair, such as the faucet, water pump, and shower drain, but between the local caretaker (Alejandro) and Steve (the owner) indicated that these will be fixed. A few other things need updating, such as the couches and lighting, but overall, this is a low priced rental, relative to others in the area, so it is a reasonable value.
i got to take in the beauty of this home for two months and the view of the sunrise and sunset is unparalleled! Thank you Steve for making things so smooth and easy. Alejandro the caretake of the house also goes well out of his way to make sure things are smooth!!!
La Casita was perfect for the two of us. It was slightly off the main drag so fairly quiet (except the dogs but there's nothing the landlord can do about that!). We had a wonderful view of the sunrise each morning. As we like to cook at home, a more equipped kitchen would be nice but we managed with the two-burner stovetop, toaster oven and microwave. It would be a perfect place to spend a month as it felt very homey. Our time there was too short!
As others have mentioned, this is a great little Casita. There is some evidence of water damage inside as others have mentioned, but it did not negativity impact our stay. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at La Casita. The location in relation to restaurants and the water is good. Communication with the owner was great and the on site host was decent. There were some lag times but nothing we couldnât deal with. The view from the casita is very good. We had a big rain storm and the casita held up amazingly well. Only a little leak. The casita is a good size and there are appropriate appliances. I would say that there were a couple things that needs to be done. It just needs a little TLC and it would be great. It is a great value.
great rooftop view of sea of cortez, AC and Wifi good
this nice casita is the first to be finished in a gated property. It's location is very near the El Sargento border to La Ventana so it's quick to get to Ventana locations, the boat ramp, restaurants etc. Nice modern bathroom, A/C worked welll even with June temps. Wifi works well which is not common. Pretty well equipped kitchen with full size frig. Allejandro the local host is attentive and helpful as needed, good with English
Great location, pretty little house, privacy and security, great views. Out of the way of traffic but close to mercadoâs, restaurants y beaches! Helpful and welcoming hosts.
Dog friendly accommodation appropriate for 2 people complete with WiFi.
We spent January and February 2018 at this property with our 2 dogs. It meet our need to retreat from the Canadian winter. The accommodation was clean and comfortable in a fairly secure compound in a quiet neighbourhood. All our concerns and questions were addressed promptly by an English speaking co-host. We made use of the cleaning service and really appreciated Carolinaâs good work. A well stocked grocery store just a 10-minute walk met all of our needs without having to drive to La Paz, a 40 minute drive. Having a vehicle is a must in this Kite Boarding community.
My brother, Greg, and I grew up in Seattle, Washington, and recently purchased this little home in El Sargento. The fishing is amazing and the water/wind sports are a blast. I currently live in Dallas, and enjoy the warmth and sun as you will when visiting our little Casita.
Greg visited some friends who live in El Sargento last year and fell in love with the place. In El Sargento, you'll be charmed by the beautiful views of the bay, the island Cerralvo and the scenic sierras, the variety of plants and cacti, the colors of water, and of course the warm friendliness of the Mexican people who live there. We have friends near the casita who are glad to greet you when you arrive.
Tremendous view of the ocean and mountains from the rooftop hammock of the house. Very accessible to everything you need, including a nearby convenience store (Oscarito's), restaurants, the ocean beach, etc.
