Welcome to the Catbird Seat Cottage Enjoy the lake view and sandy beach with access to spring fed Vineyard Lake, less than 1 minute walk down the street. Irish Hills and surrounding area is also home to many world-class golf courses and MIS. This lovely home offers outdoor dining and seating, AC, grill, fire pit, 2 adult/blue kayaks, and 2 kid/pink kayaks (130 lb max), a fully equipped kitchen, 3 comfy beds. Explore all that the Irish Hills has to offer - wineries, lakes!

Newly renovated in 2021, this cozy 780 sf cottage that is bright and beautifully curated offers the following:

ONLY REGISTERED GUESTS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY ON THE PROPERTY OVERNIGHT. Maximum of 4 overnight guests. Perfect for singles, couples, small families, or 1-2 traveling professionals.

Longer stays available for traveling medical professionals (2 people max) or parents visiting their college kids. Inquire if interested.

Lots of outdoor activities and beach/lake living during the warmer months. But colder months offer ice fishing in peace, quiet, and solitude! My favorite spot to unwind and get away from it all but with all the comforts and conveniences of home.

Drinking water is provided. However the tap water is sourced from a well. Well water has a DISTINCT smell due to its high iron content and is particularly noticeable in the shower. Don't hate! But fair warning, city folks may be surprised by it. It is fine for bathing, brushing your teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, and cleaning the dishes. Our goal is to have a water filtration system installed in the future.

Please note that aggressive pets ARE NOT ALLOWED. Small medium breeds with gentle temperament only and certified service dogs are allowed. No exceptions! Owners reserve the right to verify your (service) animal breed ahead of your stay.

Enough parking for 2 cars on the front lawn. NO driveway. Please do not park in the neighbors driveways.

Our cottage is competitively priced for the area and amenities. Nightly rates are non-negotiable.

2nd bedroom has twin daybed with a 2nd twin trundle bed that pulls out. It’s is also where you have a table and chairs for dining or work, plus the view of the lake is best from this room. 2 Yoga mats in the closet.

✔ Turn off AC or portable heater if leaving for several hours,

No parties or events but feel free to invite friends or family over to hang out, as long as they respect our house rules, the neighborhood, and the neighbors, but their pets are NOT allowed on the property.

Coffee, tea, and water available for guests. Bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, paper towel, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and a full-sized kitchen with drip coffee maker are provided during guest stays.

NO on-site laundry for guests because the well water can leave stains. A laundromat is located in downtown Brooklyn. There are also plenty of hooks for hanging towels or clothes to dry both inside and outside.

Other things to note
The country concert Faster Horses and Michigan International Speedway are minutes away as well. Check out the nearby wineries and trails. It is conveniently located within 10 minutes of the downtown of Brooklyn which has taverns, creameries, cute shops, and restaurants.

For golf lovers, there are dozens of world-class courses that are 1/3 of the price compared to the courses in metropolitan areas! Bring your clubs and swing to your heart’s content!
