Bel appartement de style loft avec vue sur l'océan et le pont expansif

Situé dans les collines de Villa Borinquen, pittoresque Casa Coqui Verde présente de belles perspectives de Vieques Sound, East Puerto Rico, et El Yunque, ce qui en fait une base agréable pour explorer l'île de Vieques. Situé à côté d'une route rurale isolée à environ un mile et demi de la pueblo de Isabel Segunda, notre belle maison d'hôtes est parfait pour ceux qui viennent pour la retraite reposante et de détente.

Notre confortable appartement expansive, ouvert de style est nommé et décoré avec un flair des Caraïbes bien. Le logement couvre plus de sept cent cinquante pieds carrés d'espace ouvert. Jusqu'à cinq personnes peuvent profiter confortablement deux lits doubles et un canapé-lit. Dix pieds de plafonds ventilés par les ventilateurs font circuler l'air frais tropical jour et nuit. Il est également équipé de la climatisation si l'on obtient un peu trop du soleil à l'une des belles plages de Vieques.

L'espace extérieur privé avec un gazebo et chaises longues offre une vue spectaculaire ombragée à la mer, idéal pour profiter de petit-déjeuner, des étoiles de haute mer à regarder, ou de comptage. Notre zone d'hôtes est fermée et accessible séparément depuis la maison principale et la cour où vous pouvez garer votre voiture en toute sécurité.

great escape

We had a wonderful stay! Freddy and Val were very accommodating and had everything that we needed. We really appreciated the extra effort they put in to make sure we had transportation upon our arrival to the island. Having snorkel/beach gear was also very thoughtful. We just needed to stay a few more days!!!

Amazing stay near Isabel II

Casa Coqui Verde was the perfect place to recharge after exploring the island of Vieques. The loft is spacious and clean, with plenty of fans if you want to enjoy the ocean breeze and air conditioning if you prefer to sleep a little cooler. Freddy was so kind and met us at the car rental to guide us to the loft. You definitely want an SUV for the rugged roads. Val and Freddy even shared bananas and star fruit from their property with us! Thanks for helping to make our first trip to Vieques so memorable.

Lovely apartment and fantastic hosts

This is no “basement studio” rental—the apartment is spacious, clean, well-equipped, and includes a very large walk-out deck with outdoor shower and sitting area. Anything you could want for visiting the beach (snorkel, chairs, towels, umbrellas) are included, and the hosts are a wealth of information about local spots.

We loved everything about this property. Just outside of town with amazing view but close enough to run in for dinner. Nice location to go in either direction of the island. They were so nice and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!! enough!!!

Spaceous and clean

Our family and me enjoyed our stay here. The y have a lot fruiting trees and plants around the property and we got to eat them as much as we can. The host were very kind and came all the way to pick us from the rental car location. The views from the balcony were amazing. They also have all the stuff for beach activities like umbrella, chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear and fishing rods.

The hosts were so accommodating and kind. The spacious room had two large beds and a side patio overlooking the ocean. Everything we could have ever needed was there. Very quiet for good island sleeping.

Freddy and Val were gracious and accommodating hosts. They picked me up at the airport, took me to get my rental car, and were always communicative and helpful. The unit is spacious, and the view is even more amazing than the photos! I would definitely stay again.

Great Hosts!

Freddie and Val went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable and memorable one. Freddie even inflated the tire that had gone flat on the golf cart I had rented. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and the veranda offers great views of the surrounding area. As other guests have mentioned, snorkeling and beach chairs/umbrella are available during your stay. We definitely hope to stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay

Great place, very clean, very large. Can't beat a washer/dryer on a beach vacation. We used Freddy's car, which was perfect as their are limited options for car rentals during the high season; it was a beater, but perfect for hitting the beach and not worrying about leaving a little sand inside. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE VIEQUES!

Little piece of paradise

We had a fantastic time at casa coqui verde. Val and Freddy have built a little piece of paradise, and we are so happy they are sharing this with us. Both are just the nicest people - they even picked us up from the ferry and brought us back as well. They are going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We will for sure be back.

Amazing stay!

I could write a book about how perfect our time in Vieques was! Staying at Villa Borinquen was just the icing on the cake. Freddy met us as soon as we got off the ferry and allowed us to rent his car for a few days to explore this magnificent island paradise. Their home is secluded, on a hilltop with a nice breeze, perfect for a relaxing evening after hitting the beaches all day. The property is fully stocked with everything you need. Lots of beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment, etc. We will definitely be back!

Amazing house, awesome hosts, beautiful island

My family stayed for eight nights. We had the best time. The house has an amazing view. It’s quiet, has WiFi, and air conditioning. The house was clean, comfortable, and the outside shower was perfect for cleaning the beach off you. The patio was amazing for enjoying a dinner and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back. Both Val and Freddy were amazing. They welcomed us and picked us up from the ferry. We couldn’t have been better taken care of. Thank you both so much for making our vacation absolutely perfect.

First time on Vieques

Val and Freddy were great hosts! Very friendly, happy to give recommendations, and great with communication. Freddy met us at the car rental to show us to his beautiful property. The last stretch of road is not paved, but honestly the paved roads were in worse condition. The loft was very comfortable and had everything you could need. I really appreciated having for complete sets of snorkel gear! Sometimes with rentals you get a pile of random mismatched stuff in disrepair, but not in this case. We only needed the a/c one night, most of the time the mountain breeze and plentiful fans were more than enough.

Vieques Take Me Back ASAP!!

Val & Freddy are the absolutely best!! They picked us up at the airport took us to the car rental place made sure we could make it around the island, not only that but it was our honeymoon and they had us a bottle of champagne and a card. Just the best. It was the communication ahead of time that sold me at first on how helpful they were. The place is cleaned beyond expectation, and everything we could want was at the rental. Just can't say enough good things about Val and Freddy, if you are going to Vieques this is the place you want to stay. The outdoor patio area is the best also. JUST FANTASTIC!! do yourself a favor and pick this place to stay.

The scenery was beautiful. I was disappointed bcz we were there 4 days, but clean towels were not provided until i asked for fresh towels. Had problem with the A/C leaking. The repair man was to suppose to have check it, but never showed up. i could never keep the room cool enough. Other than these issues, all was good.

Almost perfect

Freddy and Val are wonderful hosts. They made sure to meet us promptly upon arrival and were greatly concerned when we were temporarily "lost" one night. That issue is why I only rate location as a 3. Navigating to the property in the dark is difficult for oldsters ( we are 83 and 70) but would probably be easier for younger guests. The location is wonderful for that evening breeze making it bug free. The use of all the beach gear including snorkel stuff for 4 was great. The house was very clean. My one recommendation is installation of another light in the kitchen area and maybe a bigger refrigerator if guests were staying longer and really wanted to cook! Thank you Freddy and Val

Secluded hillside almost paradise.

Casa Coqui Verde is a thoroughly beautiful and well maintained off the beaten path spacious one room apartment with open living and dining space and a small but sufficient kitchen area for those who want or need to cook their meals. The Hosts are very welcoming, generous, and helpful as you will need some help getting oriented to this less touristy part of the island. Beach chairs, umbrella, 3 sets of snorkeling equipment, a large, lovely shaded, private patio where you can chill, eat or just enjoy the glorious hilltop breezes. You will definitely need a car (not a golf cart!) to get to and from this somewhat remote hillside location. Expect to hear a chorus of Coqui toads in the evenings and many roosters crowing well before dawn and you won’t be surprised. This animal friendly island does not care about your normal sleep habits. While it’s remote location may not be ideal for everyone it is still possible to enjoy all parts of the island from here and even get to know the « real » local character of Isabel II.

Off the Beaten Path Ocean Views

Valerie and Freddy were wonderful hosts! Family(3 adults were in our party) was picked up by Freddy at the ferry terminal while another family member picked up our rental car. Casa Coqui Verde is not in town so transportation will be needed. We were greeted by two very friendly dogs and then stepped down to our loft(see pictures for this unit) and got our first glimpse of the ocean views. Loft itself was outfitted perfectly, anything needed for a day at the beach was at the ready. Nice open floor plan with lots of books, puzzles and games. Internet available and large screen TV worked flawlessly. On top of a hill, it was quiet and secluded. Dropping a pin when we first arrived made traveling back to Casa Coqui Verde after a day out an easy endeavor. Be mindful that Vieques's roads aren't interstate quality roads. With that in mind drive slowly and be on the look out for the horses and lizards that populate the island. Sun Bay Beach was very nearby and a little further drive on the same side of the island, the expansive Blue Beach was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely WOW!!!!

Simply cannot recommend visiting Vieques and staying at this property enough! My family and I had the best time here! Also cannot say enough about how genuinely kind and helpful Freddy and Val are as the host and hostess. They are as involved or in the background as you need them to be. If fact we hardly knew they were there but the second we had a question they immediately were there with an answer. From the initial booking they were immediately making sure we had the best chance for a successful trip. They recommended transportation to the ferry, things to check out and book ahead of time, a list of things they had available and so much more. We were able to rent their vehicle for the week which was huge due to demand causing all other rentals to be booked. They picked us up from the ferry and even picked up some groceries for us since we were getting in late. The apartment is beautiful with an awesome view and far exceeded our expectations. Freddy and Val had everything we needed along with several recommendations of where to eat, where to shop and things to do which were all perfect. Val even set up an opportunity for my daughter to volunteer at the humane society because she knew my daughter loved dogs! They both were truly there to try to give us the best trip possible. I cannot thank them both enough and when we left it was like leaving new members of our family. We cannot wait to come back to Vieques and there is no doubt where and with whom we will be staying! Originally from Ireland, Val retired to Vieques in 2014 with her husband Freddy. We had been coming here on vacation for 7 years before that, but the very first night we stayed I said to Freddy "This is it!" He asked me what I meant and I said "This is where we will retire". We have traveled extensively in Africa Asia and Europe but Vieques is home. Vieques is very laid-back and will grow on you!
