Magical week in Tamarindo

Property was as advertised, you tube videos were spot on. Great views of Tamarindo beach from the pool area, the pool was awesome. Loved the outside area, we had breakfast there every morning. There was a guard at the property in the evenings. The Sonos sound system was nice, the outside grill area was great we used it a few times. Stay Tamarindo concierge service was great, we used them all the time to book excursions, airports pickups, restaurant reservations and also a good source of information about the area. Our House Mom was awesome, she made us breakfast ever morning, cleaned the rooms as needed, provide pool towels, etc. She was great to have around the house and made our stay very welcoming and fun. Compass house was awesome, can't say enough good things, we had 10 folks stay there over the week and they all loved the house and the town of Tamarindo.

Amazing views and stunning home!

We were a party of 9 and had an amazing time at this home. Close driving distance to beach from house but does require an ATV or AWD vehicle to navigate down to the beach or town. Parking was not an issue. Security guard on premise during the evenings. Housekeepers were fantastic and available . Gorgeous infinity pool with hot tub and amazing sunset views each night.

The house was immaculate and the views from every corner were spectacular. Natalia provided topnotch management and. concierge services throughout the entire stay. The group breakfast each morning on the open air terrace was a delicious and amazing start to the day. From the pool boy and gardener to the cleaning staff and security guard, their discreet, respectful, attention to detail was greatly appreciated. The location of Compass House was perfect in relation to the great little surf town of Tamarindo. Definitely a car is necessary to get up & down the steep dirt road leading up to the house from the main drag. Hearing the male Howler monkey’s unique territorial calls, mostly at sunrise, added to our wonderful family adventure.

The breakfast was delicious, beds comfortable and clean. The property management team Five Star were very diligent and helpful with all our questions and request. They helped with reservations, excursions, and transportation.I would take advantage of the guest page when you book, It is helpful with planning your vacation. The road and hill to the house are pain to walk, so rent a car, golf cart, and if you don’t want to deal with parking, Five Star can help connect you to a van pick up service around town for your large group- inexpensive and handy. I would rent this house again.

Great House

The property was fabulous, super clean, great outdoor space, fantastic views. Natalia and Maria were a pleasure to deal with. We fit 13 people very comfortably in the house. Going up and down the hill into town can be a bit of a challenge however.

But what mattered most to us was their very friendly staff. Natalia the house manager was absolutely amazing. She coordinated everything for us and always went an extra mile to make sure we had the best time during our stay.Roberto cooked for us every morning and we loved his food. We had two guests that are vegan and he made sure to accommodate a separate menu for him. Reyna our daily cleaning lady was very sweet and did a great job. I want to thank again everyone at Compass house for making sure we left with the best memories. We hope to stay at this house again!

Compass house has an industrial ice maker and blender, tons of seating, and the living room opening to the pool is spectacular! This was the absolute perfect house for our wedding party and our stay was magical.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Natalia, the house manager, was incredible and instrumental in helping us make our wedding the best experience of our lives. We booked two properties from Five Star Tamarindo, so that we could accommodate our guests, as well as host our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for 35 people. We did this from a distance, in the US, and we had no idea how incredibly beautiful the spaces are, until we walked in for the first time. The wow factor when you walk into Compass is massive. My wife and I and our guests were oooh-ing and ahhh-ing as soon as we walked in... the view is incredible, with the infinity pool as foreground against a gorgeous backdrop of sky, beachfront, and ocean. Natalia was such a very special part of our experience. Her calm and friendly smile, her sincerity, was so great, especially on our wedding day. She was available to help us with anything we needed; she was so excellent with communication, and she even helped with the small things, making suggestions for our stay, and even helping out with breakfast. Breakfast was provided for our guests, every single day, and it was such a lovely experience to share in fresh fruits, Costa Rican food, and fresh juice alongside our family and friends daily. Onto the villas!! I can’t say enough about Compass House and Leo Loco. The two properties are connected by a walkway and stairs that leads from the back of each house. Since we rented both villas, we got the best of both worlds, but I will review each separately. Compass House Gorgeous, modern, minimalist, and breathtaking views. Each room had its own bathroom, and the staff helped keep everything clean and tidy daily. The view and the infinity pool were the highlight of everyone

Natalia is fantastic and very easy to work with. She was extremely easy to connect and I advise connecting via WhatsApp as very responsive. Daily maids to clean up and breakfast every morning. Never had any issues. Would recommend 10:10 times. Also take Natalia recommendations with activities and transportation and definitely get golf carts. That hill is no joke! Recommend a chef one of nights to have an early dinner for the views and sunset.

Five star treatment for my 40th birthday

We had a group of 16 staying at the Compass House for a long weekend. The house was amazing! All the rooms are fairly equal, except the master and two twin rooms. I love how everyone had their own bathroom. The views with the sliding glass doors made for the perfect setting to watch sunsets. The huge outdoor table is where we had all our meals except the one night we ate in town. Natalia was patient and helpful and help me setup airport transportation, golf cart rentals, chef recommendations, tours, and so much more!! She was responsive whenever we had a question or request. She truly made this experience a five star treatment. The rest of the house staff, including the breakfast which is included, was top notch. The group had a great time and I would highly recommend this house to anyone!!! I would love to take a trip back myself!

Can’t imagine a better vacation home rental in Costa Rica!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If it’s possible, Compass House is actually more beautiful than it looks in the photos. A perfect place to stay in Tamarindo. My only complaint is that you’ll miss out on the area because you’ll never want to leave the house. Natalia and Mario were a pleasure to deal with both before arrival and during our stay - helping us to make the most of our visit to Tamarindo. Breakfast was amazing and we came home each day to a tidy house ready for us to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets over the bay from the pool. The outdoor living space is spectacular - they really thought of every detail when building it. Hope to return soon!
