Beautiful Sosua Beach House

Thank you for the compliments on our home. We strive hard to meet the expectations of our guests. Yes the main road through Sosua is at the intersection at the end of the street in front of the beach and that is also one of its conveniences. And yes during different times of the day and during busy times of the year there can be some traffic noise. Regarding the work clearing the lot across the street from the house...No one was more disappointed than me to find out that the owner of that land had moved out the cows and goats from the field and were clearing the vacant lot. I had stayed there myself the week before you arrived and there was no construction. However it was apparent at checkin you and your guests would find things to complain about. Obviously you had a few days before the excavator showed up across the street but prior to that you still found things to complained about like a toater and the electronic water dispenser, which was operated as designed, what I provided with full water bottles amd ice in the freezer. And based on your conversation with my property manager, you already had intentions on visiting other parts of the Dominican Republic while you were there so you came and went from the property freely doing your entire booked stay. We have no control over what occurs on any adjacent or nearby properties. Yes, I offered you Dinner OR Drinks and explained I did not know how many days they would be working on the property across the street. But I thought Dinner OR Drinks was a fair gesture to start. However you did not respond to me again directly after my offer. Instead you called guest services the next day to complained. I told them about the offer we had already made to you. I then told guest services I may consider a discount for every day of disruption and still not another reponse from you to me. Only to get a second call from guest services about an hour later informing me that you wanted more of a discount. I explained clearly I can not give a discount on an unknown disruption period. However I did share your other information with guest services. Regarding contruction on the days they were working on the lot they started at 8am and worked no later than 4pm and nothing on the weekends and did not work at all many of the other days during your booked stay. We had already decided on day 2 of your visit we would not be renting to you again in the future. We love hosting great guests and do everything we can to provide a great guest experience. FOR FUTURE GUESTS... We have since spoken to the foreman and have been told the contruction will be intermittent. If you message us prior to booking we will give you the best information we have at the time.
