We enjoyed our stay tremendously. It was very relaxing and refreshing. We were able to use the hot tub the first night, which was great, but the second night it didn't work for some reason. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place for your next vacation stay.

Quiet Place

Very caring and quiet place. Owner lives on grounds and felt very cared for but allowing us to have our space. Place was absolutely spotless and shining inside and out with marbled walkways and fabulous landscaping and architecture.

The villa was perfect for our small group. the grounds are beautiful. The villa keeper was always present when we needed him or had questions. exceedingly clean and maintained. close to many restaurants and attractions. We will revisit the villa in the future.

This was a wonderful wonderful place to stay. Chris went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Property grounds are beautiful the decor is beautiful the house with the pool and the Jacuzzi bathtub was wonderful! I would stay here again! And thank you Chris who was our everything while we were there he was just fantastic

Villa Patiently Waiting was a great find for me and my family. The host communicated with me immediately following the booking, and the Property Manager, Chris, was always available by phone to answer any questions. The Villa is clean, spacious, and quiet; a great place for a large group to gather for family events. A very special thanks to Chris for his warm and welcoming attitude. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Our Jamaican home away from home

Our first VRBO experience with family was a real hit. We will be doing this again. Thank you to Alvin, Chris, O'Neal and Betty-Anne for top notch service and professionalism. The property is gorgeous, the villa has everything we needed and the location was perfect. This was a vacation to remember!

Villa Patiently Waiting is a diamond in the rough. Close walking distance to the beach, great pool, gated and locked. Our group felt very safe. Our caretaker Chris was amazing, works hard to keep the place clean and did everything he could to accommodate our group. Cooked us a very delicious meal. Shout out to Alvin the owner for making everyone feel like we were at home. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and Beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Chris was very nice, helpful, and accommodating! Everything is solar in the place so be prepared for cool showers at times. And if you need anything, definitely turn to Chris because he can make arrangements of all sorts for you! The beach was literally a 5 min walk and the pool was right out the door! This is a perfect place to stay and I will definitely be staying again if I should return to Ocho Rios!

A+ location, Clean and Comfortable

Great family get together for the holidays. The house is clean and comfortable - we were provided with a freshen up cleaning midway through our 10-day stay( and the garden is lovely to walk around in (we were even able to pick two breadfruits for our and salt fish. A+ location - We were within walking distance from the beach where we could enjoy the beach chairs and have a drink or meal at the charming neighborhood beach club/restaurant. Communication with the property manager was excellent - he was always available to help out and answer questions without being in any way intrusive (which has been my experience in other villas I have stayed at).

Amazing words can not explain this relaxation!

It was an amazing stay from the executive staff Betty Ann to Chef Chevie with such amazing not to mention the owner Mr. Appleton. The design and art set the stage not to mention the cleanliness of the estate and it’s amazing garden. Extended my staff for 2 weeks and rebooked for Christmas now what does that tell you! Loved the pool as well. Thanks to all.

Not a diamond rental at all.

Good grounds, nice pool, good socialising space, beach card for Bamboo beach and helpful care-taker. However property is not exclusive as advertised and also needs renovating. There are rats and cockroaches. There are also plumbing issues, broken air conditioner in middle room, and limited access to washing machine and jacuzzi. Overall, not recommended.conditioner

This place has a great ambiance and the care taker Chris was so hospitable. I called his name so many times ,he came running never a hint of frustration, he had us feeling like one of his family members. We rented out the main villa in july 2022 for 5 days, my family and friend loved every bit of the experience. Villa IS close to the main town and beach which was a plus. THANK YOU CHRIS FOR YOUR COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONALLY FRIENDLY APPROACH.

We wanted a place near a beach and we got that. The pool on the property was well maintained and a good size. The bedrooms were air conditioned. The hallways, living room, dining room and kitchen did not have air conditioners. The property manager and the owner were notified that we were not pleased as the place was advertised as having AC. They listened to my concerns.

Good experience

The facility itself is beautiful and peaceful. The manager was pleasant and available. Despite not getting hot water initially and hot tub not set up on arrival, he explained how to set it up so that we could have it before we departed. Other than that, it’s a great facility for time with friends and family. One of the highlights is the amount of space it provides for eating and sitting inside and outside. Bathrooms could use newer fixtures

description misleading about the pool, it is shared with others rather than the property we rented, the property needs updating especially the kitchen and bathrooms no tea spoons was available, considering it sleeps up to 10 people, that was poor with the amount for the rental they collect they could more than afford to update it.

Spectacular Villa

This villa does not disappoint. Great location. Perfect layout of interior. Bedding comfortable. Wifi throughout. And the staff, I cannot say enough about how sweet, attentive, kind, and caring regarding you happiness while occupying their wonderful villa. I would highly recommend having the Chef, Cleave, cook meals for you. He is great at cooking traditional Jamaican cuisine as well as educating you on the health benefits of a selection of fruits, vegetables and herbs found right there on the property. All in all my family had a fantastic time staying at Villa Patiently Waiting and will recommend this extraordinary property to friends and family. It was a Great Location, 5 min walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful, with great snorkeling potential and has a very good restaurant. The villa was clean, the pool was great and Chris was really nice and helped wherever he could. Chris cooked lobster-dinner for us and it was beyond amazing. We had a rental car and the drive from the airport to the villa was easy. (Only drive the highway and take a left turn at the end, right before the RIU entrance is the Mammee bay estates) All you would need was a close ride with the car. Supermarket, Starbucks, kfc, Pizza Hut, gas station, atm- all within 5 minutes. Lots attractions in a 30 minute range. The area felt very safe to us. We enjoyed our stay at patiently waiting very much and we would definitely come back. We traveled with 3 adults and 4 kids.

Not as advertised.

I would NOT rent this villa again. It's ok if you need a place to rest your head, then venture out for the entire day, but that's about it. The decor and the comfort of the beds were the only things that I would consider satisfactory. Internet was down so we're had no connectivity, and the big TVs they advertise were of no use. I requested chef services. Prop Manager said he would do the cooking as the advertised chef wasn't there anymore. Advertised one price per day, he charged me a higher price for one meal, plus cost of ingredients. The hot tub (which was advertised as an amenity) had no water in it. The lamps in the master bedroom were either broken or not working correctly. The accordion door on the master bath was broken. One of the sinks was backed up. One of the showerheads was taped together. There were no face clothes or hand towels. They advertise for 16 persons dining however they do not have 16 place settings in the kitchen. The worst part, I felt like I was being stalked while I was there. Micro-managing guests is not ok when they paid to stay in your establishment and weren't doing anything unreasonable or unknown. I communicated the plans we had for our stay ahead of time. there was no reason for the constant check-ins, attitude, and scolding from the property manager. I understand that you have a job to do, but knowing my whereabouts at all times, making it seem as if I was supposed to check in with you when I left or came back, and scolding me because we arrived late and/or had people moving in and out (when it had already been communicated to you, and you were aware it would be happening) is uncalled for and unprofessional. like I said... if you want a place for a big group to just rest their heads and/or go for a dip in a pool, this is for you. If you'd like quality hospitality and a place to relax and enjoy accommodations, this is not the place for you.

A dream come true

Visiting another country is always stressful especially when you are not familiar with the area you are planning to stay. Patiently Waiting was a dream come true. It was everything i saw on the pictures and reviews plus more. The estate is absolutely beautiful and the caretaker, Chris, is second to none. Everything was clean comfortable and well organized. The pool and hot tub is amazing. Everything was great.

Everything was amazing

This property was absolutely amazing. Everything was exactly as it was described in the description. Our house manage Chriss was the absolute best. He had outstanding customer service and he was the most accommodating. I felt very comfortable with my stay there and with the gathering we had there. I’m just in awe with everything that this house had. We will be booking this house again next year. I definitely and appreciate Chriss, just the best. I would recommend this house to anyone you definitely won’t be disappointed. Five stars for me.
