Okay, but not worth what was charged

Overall, the space seemed to be clean. The beds were very stained under the sheets though. The pool was also a let down because it was very dirty and the cleaner was not working. There’s also no diving board as pictured. The space overall was spacious but it had a bunch of rooms that were locked making it kind of creepy. Especially at night because we didn’t know if anyone else was there on the property or in any of the locked rooms. We didn’t have restful nights at the place because it always sounded like people walking around and doors opening/closing. Also, one of the nights, a dog barked almost all night.The neighborhood looked a little sketchy but was fine, just a regular neighborhood.The best thing was the game room and outdoor area. I believe that they are charging mostly for that. It was okay overall but would not return.

Perfect Holiday Getaway

We were looking for a place large enough to keep our family entertained while meeting up with old acquaintances and family in the Houston area. The Galveston Bay retreat offered just that. While our stay was to chilly to utilize the pool, the young adults had plenty to do in the added game room. The kitchen was large enough to create a small Thanksgiving feast, and the house was plenty big enough to lounge about the rest of the day. Location was close to Kemah Boardwalk, grocery stores, and other necessities. Upon arrival we found some bonus snacks and drinks to make us feel welcome. Check in was easy, and we were even offered an early check in! The property was clean, secured, and well maintained for the area. You can tell the owners care. We make it back to the Houston area about every 10 years, so hopefully this gem is still around. We would book again.

We had a great stay at this wonderful home in Bacliff. Our dogs had fun in the large yard and we had fun hanging out by the pool. Thanks for letting us stay!

Beautiful vacation home!

We had a great week at this beautiful house. It is just as described but pictures don’t do it justice. We all enjoyed the pool and game room. The owner was very easy to contact and quick response. We had one minor issue with the upstairs thermostat going out and it within an hour of contacting the owner, it was resolved. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of towels and linens were provided. Was a quick drive to Galveston without the high cost of staying in Galveston. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Lea for a wonderful after graduation vacation for our boys!

Lea was so attentive to any concerns we had, and was available when we had questions. The house had a pool and a great "party room"...when we weren't siteseeing, we were having fun at the house!

The property was 100% as advertised. We had a great stay. The kitchen is definitely high end, the pool was clean and warm. The pool house is a big plus. Be aware of the stairs to enter the house and the master bedroom is up a flight of stairs. I would have preferred there to be a door on the master bathroom but it wasn't a problem. I highly recommend the house for those that can navigate the stairs.

Thanksgiving in Bacliff

This house was perfect for our needs. We came to visit my sister for Thanksgiving and it turns out she lives right behind this house. What a blessing that was. My son flew in from Chicago and I, my husband and granddaughter flew in from FL. The house was wonderful. It was stocked with lots of games that we played each night. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pans and utensils. If there was a negative, it would be that there is no light over the dining table so it’s hard to see at night when you’re trying to play games and read the cards. It was cold, so we could only look at the pool and not swim

Late summer trip

Process was easy. Pool was dirty and neighbor was very undesirable. No privacy from neighbors in pool area. The downstairs game room bar area saved the trip.

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood isn't the greatest but it was perfect for what we needed. The house was spacious and we enjoyed spending our days in the pool. It was a short drive to Kemah and Galveston.

Great experience!

We loved the property! It was very homey feeling and made our family feel welcome. The pool and game room were so nice & created fun space for family time. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived and the property owner addressed it very quickly. The property is well cared for and our family would love to stay there again!

Good family option

The house was as stated online with plenty of room. The cabana area was nice and provided plenty of shade while outside. There was a pool table, card table, roulette table, and foosball table. The pool could use a good cleaning bc there was a large ring of green mildew around the bottom of it. The house could use an exterminator bc we saw lots of large roaches inside and around the pool area as well as spiders and other small insects. The master bathroom has no door so that was awkward. Especially since the extra bedroom with two twin beds is also in the master bedroom, so not much privacy. Otherwise, the house was great for our family. We had tons of fun.

Beautiful house and pool

Beautiful house, pool, and game room. We never left the property for the 4 days we stayed. Bring your own propane tank or plan to get the ones on site refilled for grilling. Plenty of pool floats and toys. House hadn’t been cleaned after guest checked out earlier in the day. We let Leah know and then finished laundry and light cleaning. Owner was very apologetic and refunded our cleaning deposit.

Interesting house.

Very nice and interesting house. Lots of stairs. Kinda wish the pool had a little more privacy from the neighbors. Minor maintenance issues with the master bathroom toilet, disposal, and some lights over the stove. Fridge kept freezing food. We enjoyed our stay. Not to far from other areas to go exploring.

Most Comfortable Vacation!

My family and I were looking for a place to take our summer vacation that offered all of the amenities that we look for: a tub for mom to soak, double shower, king size beds, no a/c degree limit, pet friendly, separate master bedroom, reasonable fees and price and a wow factor. This year we also wanted a private pool. This beautiful home had all of these, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day vacation! The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The A/C worked better than mine at home! The water was hot and the refrigerator was cold upon arrival. The home was clean and tidy. Sparely decorated but I actually like it this way, less distractions and simple. The stairs well, it is what it is on that one; a little exercise is good for you! The neighborhood may look rough and tough but in actuality it is just a poorer neighborhood with really hardworking, decent people. I am a lifelong survivor of abuse, and I did not feel uncomfortable here and alone with my kids with my husband commuting to and from work. We were fine. Actually, while sitting on the front balcony of the house, my daughter and I noticed a daily occurrence of a son walking his momma to and from the store to get ice-cream everyday around 3:30; All the while carrying her purse. One day it was three purses! Please remember the old saying, "Never judge a book by it's cover." This certainly applies to the surrounding neighborhood of this lovely home. My family and I will be back and most likely this year too! This home is exactly what we needed to come together as a family. We played hide and seek in the house (all the nooks and crannies were perfect for this) and family games at the table under the massive, ornate chandelier. My children actually unplugged and hung out with mom and dad. This place brought us together again as a family. We so needed this with all of the crazy in our life. Thank you Lea for having my family in your home! We will be back to create more wonderful and lasting memories!
