Conveniently located 30 minutes from Portage, Shipshewana, and Kalamazoo.
New home yet to be decorated with homey touches. Very clean, beds and bedrooms worked perfectly. A path through the grass to the river would have been nice to possibly fish.
Overall was as advertised. Newer good size home but not fancy. Rooms are a good size, beds were comfortable. There is NO patio or deck, so no place to comfortably sit outside. I suspect bugs would be a major issue sitting outside since the forest & river are on edge of property. No place to have a fire (no firepit). Listing could use a better description list of misc available to renters, but they did have most typical items available. (There is a standard coffee pot that's not listed) Strongly recommend you bring an eye mask for sleeping, especially in basement bedrooms that have white blinds.. VERY bright in the morning! There was a full size couch and two recliners in the Living Room. Kitchen has a table & four chairs that was perfect for cards/games (we had to bring the 4th matching chair in from the garage). There are some MINOR cosmetic issues. Missing HVAC ceiling vent in lower bedroom, upstairs powder room door doesnât stay closed, musty smell in lower level, and had cat/dog scratched/frayed corners on living room furniture... but all were comfortable! Owner was responsive to messages. Overall would give it an 8 out of 10. Have seen better welcome notes for guests, but the house is what we expected and the price was right for the size. We would definitely consider coming back! Also, since this is a Bi-Level home, a minimum of 6 internal stairs to get in/out.
We really liked the layout of this place. It was all very comfortable.
Watching out the window while in the comfort of the lounge room with a hot cuppa was relaxing.
For those with limited mobility or mobility issues. There is one large step up to the front door and then the door step. There is a entry landing that leads to one flight of stairs going up to the kitchen, lounge room and master bedroom, and one flight of stairs to the lower area with two bedrooms, bathroom with a shower over a bath, a gym area and a laundry.
We used a pot on the stove top to boil water for a cup of tea, but an electric kettle or a kettle you could put on the stove top would be an awesome addition for boiling water.
This new place is still a work in progress but we loved it and the area.
We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation this year in Three Rivers:) The house is very comfortable and was immaculate when we got there. The AC was great, the bed in the master bedroom was very comfy, and the shower was amazing. I like to sit outside and read and be with nature, and there was plenty of shade available to accommodate that, even on the hottest days. And no bugs! My husband did a lot of online gaming, and the internet had no problem keeping up. All in all, it was a very enjoyable time:)
