Everything about this property, and the island, was amazing. The ferry captain dropped us off right at the dock, arranged for a golf cart rental, the cleaning crew greeted us warmly and shared much information about the property and surrounding area, and the host answered all questions promptly. I highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time, I was in constant contact with the home owner and she was wonderful and answered all my questions. We had a group of 6 the for the week of Christmas and this house was perfect for us ! The deck has the most amazing views and the screened in porch was perfect for nights to hang out and play dominos. We rented golf carts and went all over town...due to this houses location you definitely need to rent carts. Be aware of what is closed on Sunday before you go..we will definitely be back!!
Our host Sherry was wonderful. The house was perfect for us! Right on the sea of Abaco! Very comfortable king bed in the master made sleeping a dream. I would definitely recommend Coconut Treehouse!
The tree house was well stocked for cooking and relaxing on decks and dock. Even though there were neighboring homes, the people were all very friendly and our tree house was very private and quiet. Loved it all!
Our stay was magical! This property is nestled in the trees off the beaten path, private, and itâs views are incredible, especially the sunset. Our kids explored the property and became friendly with the kind neighbors. So quite and secluded but close to everything. Would love to stay again!
Our stay at this Vrbo for our wedding was absolutely perfect! The breathtaking views of the Abaco, combined with the extremely comfortable beds, made our experience unforgettable. We're definitely planning to return. Five stars!
Advertised as three bedroom the third room should not be advertised as a bedroom as it is infested with cockroaches and spiders. Had to have property manager call exterminator while we were there, cockroaches were is bathrooms and in kitchen.
Our family of 5 - 3 college students and parents stayed for a week. The house was very clean and pleasant. The beds were comfortable and linens were all very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed and the stores were well stocked. Everyone on the island is friendly and helpful. Weather was not the best for snorkeling but there were games and plenty of books to read to pass the time. Definitely a good way to unwind for our college kids and spend a week with some downtime. We would definitely stay here again.
Had a wonderful time this summer staying in the Tree House.
Has a Swiss Family Robinson vibe that was quite fun.
Kids and I loved snorkeling off the private dock.
The location was private with only a couple other houses in the area. You feel secluded but not to secluded The house color changed so it made it a little confusing when locating the listing. The pictures show a peach color but it was changed to green.
Updated pictures or a sign out front would help.
Communicating with host was amazing and I recommend this listing.
We had such a great time, even on the stormy days.
The ferry dropped us off on our dock and Vernal was there to greet us and show us the ropes. Cart was in our "driveway" waiting.
Loved that there were lots of different places to hang depending on the weather and our mood. The great big surround window living room was great when the storm rolled in and the downstairs screened porch kept most of the biters away on game night. The dock next door (to the right if you're looking at the sea) had TONS of fish to watch while snorkeling.
Except for one night, we had the entire compound to ourselves, so it was very-very quiet.
Yes, it's a bit of a drive to town, but very pleasant (maybe 15 minutes). If you like snorkeling, it's much more convenient than a house in town, as the reef beach is a short 5 minute drive. Truly worth every single cent.
Oh, the power did go out a couple of times, but the cross breeze made it perfectly comfortable for the hour or two it was out.
The prop is rustic but hands down the most beautiful view on island and the morning sun is shaded perfect for tea drinking and reading while watching rays nurse sharks swim to and fro. The doc out front is great for eve gear drop offs after a day on water.
My husband and I stayed at the Coconut Tree for the month of June. I canât say enough about how lovely this quaint property is. We felt right at home nestled in the trees. The house had everything you need for comfortable island living. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in and loved the view of the Sea of Abaco. We really loved the location, close to Bluff House and the marina where we kept the boat, and the hill provided plenty of privacy, not to mention the beautiful tropical foliage. We even endured a tropical storm while we were there with little to no trouble. It was a great experience, we hope to return to Coconut Treehouse in the future.
We have visited GTC for several years now and didnât know this little tree house community existed. The rental was very clean, tropical and has a unique layout. The patio and the views that you have are just beautiful. We were able to watch a large spotted Eagle ray swimming near the dock from the patio. It was breathtaking. Also, a local captain was able to pick us up/drop us off from the dock at the tree house which was an added bonus. The fans, AC, water pressure and bed linens were all great, so thank you!!!
Just for your knowledge, the hill up and down into the tree house community is somewhat steep when you are in golf carts and the distance from the tree house to New Plymouth town and GT Club is a bit of a ways than what we were used to in previous years. This is not a negative but just wanted to point it out. If youâre familiar with the island or look at the map layout prior to going, you can see. Like we said, it was a very nice clean place for our family of four this year and the views are stunning! Thank you for letting us stay!
The house was amazing. The landscaping is very tropical. House is older but very clean cute and quaint. Only downside was the internet was not working but it got fixed after we left. There is a dock that my family used almost daily to snorkel. There was a shower downstairs to rinse off. Laundry machine on site. There was no condiments or coffee so bring non perishable food if you can. Food is VERY expensive on the island. Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes are horrible. House has an absolutely gorgeous view and is a short walk to restaurants. I will definitely be coming back.
One of the best views ever: unobstructed view of clear beautiful water. We saw manta rays right from the deck. The house was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We loved the location and the private setting. The man who handled the check in and transfer of luggage provided seamless service and then when I discovered in Marsh Harbor that I left my passport at the house, he saved the day by finding the passport and getting it to the ferry quickly. We wish to return again and again.
What a beautiful place to call home on Green Turtle Cay! Easy access yet set in jungle-type foliage with a fantastic view of the ocean. Nicely furnished with everything we needed to cook our meals, go to the beach, and sleep soundly on comfortable beds. Friendly neighbors nearby and very helpful, kind and informative caretaker. We would highly recommend staying in the Coco Nut Treehouse!
