à propos de cet hébergement
Beach House - Number 49
Situated high above Cape Townâs sunset strip, with access exclusively via the renowned Clifton Steps, Number 49 â The Beach House is a secluded luxury villa youâll never want to leave. Anticipation builds with every step you climb. This is a private haven where you leave your troubles at the door. Slide open the glass doors and step out onto the elevated wooden deck that runs the length of the villa.
Settle in and soak up the arresting seascape stretching out every which way, as far as the eye can see. These unobstructed views just donât quit. Sink into the sundrenched slow life as you watch the barefoot, bikini-bronzed world amble by.
Upon conquering the steep Clifton Step climb, enter a villa bursting with cool, calm and casual tranquility. Softly muted tones and textures, the interiors echo the translucent watery wonderland beyond. Filtered and hazy with just the right mix of rough with the smooth, dark with the light and sea with the sky.
The Beach House is welcoming yet roomy. Proportions are generous. High on comfort and uncompromising on casual chic, it oozes holiday luxury. The open-plan kitchen, living and dining rooms spill out onto the large elevated wooden deck for maximum ease and flow. The outside area offers the perfect spot for long languid al fresco meals with friends and family. Or shelter inside at the dining table which comfortably seats 10.
Choose to spend your days and nights under sunny and starry skies or happily cocooned in the superbly comfortable living room. Raw and rustic with high gloss glam, the interiors offer a few quirky touches. A pair of adorable, beaded sheep, faux fur footstools and touches of wicker and wooden whimsy abound.
With nature being the guiding force, the abundance of indoor plants only adds to the soothing serenity of the space.
Sleeping 6 with easy comfort in 3 beautiful bedrooms all en-suite. The master bedroom open out onto the deck and boast the most spectacular sea views money can buy.
Queue the breezy holiday beats and let the good times flow. Undeniably one of the jewels in The Number Collectionâs portfolio, Number 49â The Beach House is quite simply in a league of its own.
Safely nestled into the foothill of Cape Townâs spectacular Lions Head, perched atop Cliftonâs five world-famous Blue Flag beaches, Number 49 â The Beach House is what dreamy beach holiday memories are made.
Clifton is famously the most sought-after real estate in Africa. Tucked between Bantry Bay and Camps Bay, the area is relatively wind-free.
Five pristine pearly white beaches on your doorstep and a stoneâs throw away from all that Cape Town has to offer. Glittering nightlife, world-class restaurants, breathtaking nature and maximum adventure for the thrill seeker. This truly is a paradise playground for the most demanding global traveller.
Together with its immaculate white sands and glistening water, their bronzing bodies and designer sunglasses grace Cliftonâs 4th beach with sufficient glamour and eco-savvy to deserve not only the âsee and be seenâ status it has acquired but its blue flag status as well.
The beaches at Clifton are divided into four distinct coves by stretches of granite boulders and, whilst they may not be very imaginatively named, 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th, their beauty makes names rather superfluous.
Each of the beaches is reached by a flight of stairs down from the road on which parking can sometimes be extremely difficult. This doesnât hinder the crowds during peak season or in the evening when throngs of people head down to Clifton to partake in traditional sundowners in the presence of one of Cape Townâs legendary sunsets.
The four beaches of Clifton are well protected from the notorious south-easterly and, whilst there is the occasional wave, most simply lap at the shoreline. Staying here often has the added bonus of quiet evenings as the throngs tend to head off just up the road to Camps Bayâs many restaurants, clubs and bars as Clifton offers little in the way of restaurants and has no shops to speak of.
Uber is readily available and the My Citi bus stop is about 100 meters from the apartment.
All over Cape Town, youâll find paid parking structures, free street parking, and in the City Bowl and a few other areas, such as Sea Point, paid street parking. There are no parking meters, so when you see the âpay and displayâ parking sign, look for the parking attendant â or most likely theyâll find you. Parking is currently under R5 per 15 minutes. In areas where street parking is free, expect to be approached by âcar guards,â who ask for a tip in exchange for watching over your car.
Accessible only by approximately 90 steps, this is not for the faint of heart but definitely worth the effort.
Housekeeping included according to the duration of your stay. Please enquire with your host on confirmation.
A private chef can be arranged for daily meals or your specific requirements.
