Moms and Daughters Trip

The property was comfortable and seemed to be well kept. The living room was spacious and we had plenty of room to sprawl out and watch tv or visit after running around all day. Parking was phenomenal; had no trouble with my large pick up. The neighborhood was very quiet. I would stay again!

Great long weekend stay

Super clean and comfortable! Very well stocked. The kitchen had everything you need to make a full meal or quick snacks to include grill with propane provided. Towels, soaps, paper products were plentiful. The hot water heater is a bit loud but otherwise very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly. Great location!

Needs upkeep

The location is really nice. The house is old and could use some love. The water heater is so loud and makes knocking noises for about 20 minutes after every shower and it’s right near the living area. The wash machine smelled so bad we couldn’t do our laundry. When we checked under the rubber gasket on the washer door there was big mold and grime buildup. The bath/shower drain didn’t work. Positives were: comfortable beds, plenty of blankets, two refrigerators, good water pressure. This place would be really great if it had some cleaning, organizing and upkeep. Very close to the lake and beach & playground area.

Family friendly, convenient to everything

We had a great stay at the property! Very family friendly property for the most part! For a property that is advertised as a family friendly place my only suggestion would be is to ditch the glass floating top coffee table! Haha. My son almost smashed the thing because he leaned on it and he didn’t know it would tip because he’s 3. Also, too much furniture In the living room and sunroom in my opinion. The queen mattress seems a little old and wasn’t the most comfortable but we made it work. Every place we needed to go was 15-20 mins away. Which was not a bad ride. It’s also about 45 mins away from the Cleveland Zoo which was so fun! The beach and lake are very pretty, we didn’t use them during the day but we took a walk to see them in the evening. The house was well stocked with any items you could possibly need. It was nicely maintained and clean. Easy check in and out! Clear notes for instructions and usage!

Perfect for our needs

We were a group of 3 adults and 5 children in town for an athletic camp. The house was way better than staying in a hotel...we had room to spread out and a place to prepare and eat meals. Two refrigerators was a bonus! We weren't there for the lake, but it is just a short walk away. The kids loved the foosball table and the adults enjoyed sitting on the deck. All in all, we had a great stay and if we come back to this camp, we'd stay here again.

Our stay here

This was our second time to stay here. There are not many options for hotels and such in this area. This house is large and we'll stocked with games for the kids and just about anything you would need in the kitchen.

Small quiet neighborhood

Even though we come late in the year and do not use the lake it is still nice to be able to take a short walk to the water and relax. Owner is easy to communicate with. The extra games that are available are very nice also.

great place VRBO is awful

The house was great, Chris the owner very easy to work with, responded to questions immediately. There was a partial refund due from VRBO, its been 3 weeks and they have not made the refunded, they do NOT even respond to my inquires. The owner and property are great, VRBO is terrible to work with.

Quiet Getaway

Everything you need

The property is better than anything in the area. Plenty of room in the house and plenty of games to entertain. We didn't have a big group so not sure how that would work out but there is parking off street for at least 4 vehicles. The notes made everything easy to understand. Host was easy to communicate with. The old style home built in the 60's with an addition made probably in the 70's is quaint and adorable.

Disappointed

The pictures online certainly made this house appear better than it was. The kitchen is dated, the carpet in the ‘game’ room is dirty and may be from the 70’s. While cable is available, there are few stations available. Crumbs were in between the cushions on the sofa, though we appreciated having enough seating in the living area. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor games. We liked sitting on the deck and cooking on the grill. We spent as much time as possible outside to avoid being in the house. The best part of the week was Lake Chippewa. The beach is lovely and we enjoyed fishing.

Great trip!

We enjoyed our stay, the house was just as advertised and met our needs perfectly. The small swimming area in the lake was close by and perfect for spending a few hours. It has a sand beach and is not too deep for families with small children.

FUN HOUSE FOR A LARGE GATHERING

Our family of seven stayed here for a wedding. It was perfect for our family - lots of beds, room, and things to do. The house is in a great location - close proximity to Chippewa Lake and restaurants. The check-in was the easiest I’ve ever experienced and plenty of instructions and a list of places and things to do were provided in a booklet inside. Checkout was just as easy. We would love to return to enjoy the area of Chippewa Lake.

Tanglewood Lodge is a wonderful well equipped nest for our family while visiting local relatives.

The kitchen was equipped with anything a cook could use. The game room is terrific. Plenty of towels and linens and every small amenity. A wonderful home away from home.

Charming, Clean, Cozy, & Comfortable!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at this home! It’s impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and the layout of the home is perfect for a friends and family to enjoy a reunion. Great Place to Stay

We had a great time at this home! The grandkids loved the Foosball table, and walking down the street to the playground by the lake. The house was nicely furnished, and the kitchen, laundry, etc were all very convenient. Having WiFi and the TV was great, too. We will likely come here again.
