Un coin de paradis!

Dans la zone la plus attrayante de Lesbos, surplombant la ville de Petra, il y a une petite colonie, entourée de noyers et de peupliers appelée Petri. Doté d'une vue à couper le souffle, c'est l'endroit où le temps s'est arrêté, un endroit paisible qui vous attend…
Au printemps et en été, Petri devient un repaire international, car de nombreux étrangers y ont acheté des maisons.

Au coin de Petri, par un chemin privé, vous trouverez une belle maison traditionnelle, pleine de lumière, où vous pourrez profiter du coucher de soleil le plus enchanteur, avec le soleil plongeant dans la mer tous les soirs…

Construite sur deux niveaux, la maison peut accueillir jusqu'à six personnes, dans trois charmantes chambres au deuxième étage, dotées de parquet et de fenêtres en bois et d'un balcon donnant sur la mer. Toutes les chambres sont meublées avec goût, offrant l'environnement le plus confortable pour un merveilleux séjour.
Au premier étage, entièrement recouvert de pierre naturelle, un grand salon avec cuisine et cheminée est complété par une confortable salle de lecture. À l'extérieur, un grand balcon et une cour fleurie avec vue sur la mer Égée seront le cadre idéal pour manger avec vos amis et votre famille, pour un bon départ le matin ou un dîner romantique le soir, sous le charme de la nature.
À côté de la maison, vous trouverez un atelier de poterie traditionnel appartenant à la même famille, où vous pourrez voir toute la procédure de fabrication de la céramique. Si vous le souhaitez, un cours de céramique peut être organisé sur demande.

Le village de Petra, avec sa merveilleuse plage de sable fin, ses tavernes colorées, ses bars branchés et ses restaurants, est situé à seulement 5 minutes en voiture ou 30 minutes à pied. Petra tire son nom du monolithe géant situé à une certaine distance à l'intérieur des terres et coiffé de l'église du XVIIIe siècle de Panagia Glykofiloussa, accessible via 114 marches taillées dans la roche.

Beautiful view of the sunset

We loved our stay and the best thing was the views from the front veranda of the sea and sunset.

Dimitri and the Villa Petri provide the loveliest of holidays in Greece. The property is perched high on a hill overlooking the small harbor of Petra with sweeping views of the surrounding hills. One wakes to the sounds of sheep bells and falls to sleep with the unusual scops owl. In spring from the villa, beautiful trails blanketed with wildflowers can be reached on foot or a short distance by car. Wonderful tavernas abound in Petra, and close by the villa, an excellent and friendly taverna is minutes away, set even higher than the villa. It is especially picturesque at sunset. The villa offers stunning sunsets and bright morning light as well. We loved the house with its many windows, a balcony upstairs, and a capacious terrace with many possibilities to enjoy the light at different times of the day. Olive and fig trees tumble down the slopes, and one can hear the Eurasian blackbird, song sparrows, and the chaffinch especially. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, and a lucky guest might be the beneficiary of the best eggs. A comfortable bed with fine linens and an excellent shower add to the comfort. Best of all are Dimitris and his wife Georgia, whose hospitality made our stay exceptional. One arrives a stranger and departs with new friends. Dimitris has much knowledge about the island and can suggest many day trips, all easily accessible from Petri. As well, access to the house is easy. We finished our holiday with precious memories of the villa and our hosts.

Villa Petri: Where serene surroundings meet Greek hospitality

The moment we saw Villa Petri, we knew we picked the perfect spot. From panoramic sea views and lush foliage outside to tasteful decor and spotlessly clean surroundings inside, the villa lives up to its billing and more. Beyond all that, the hosts, Dimitris and Georgia, couldn’t have been more welcoming, gracious and accessible. Even before we booked the place, Dimitris promptly addressed all our questions and concerns. These hosts embody the reason why Greeks are known for their hospitality. If you’re considering a stay on Lesvos, don’t look any further than Villa Petri. I promise, you won’t regret it!

In every way this was such a great place!

Dimitris and Georgias place was the perfect fit for us. It is very comfortable ,super clean and very relaxing serene. The beds comfy and Dimitris will go the extra mile to accommodate you (like when he set up an extra bed when we had an additional guest). The view is to die for, you are behind and above Petra village which allows you to gaze far into the horizon. The serenity and calmness almost healing. We rented a car and headed every day to different beaches and villages. Gréât adventures that Dimitris helped us plan! Petra, Molivos, Ag. Isidoros and Sigri were our favorites! Gréât beaches, great restaurants amazing beautiful island! You definitely need a car, a jeep of some sort. The house has all the amenities you might need and more! We loved it so much we are for sure coming back! Two weeks was not enough!

Prachtig groot, schoon, compleet verzorgd huis met een grote tuin

Wij kwamen om vogels, vlinders, insecten, zoogdieren en reptielen te vinden. Rondom het huis hebben we veel kunnen waarnemen, vastleggen en registreren. Ook in de omgeving was er veel gezien. Het huis en de tuin was een kado en de gastheer was zeer behulpzaam. Voor fotografen een prachtige plek om te verblijven en van hieruit op excursie / expeditie te gaan. De tuin en geen nabije buren gaf vrijheid om ook in de nacht op onderzoek uit te gaan, nachtvlinders vast te leggen etc.. Echt een aanrader met uitzicht op de zee.

A lovely experience

This was a dream visit to Lesvos. The house itself is beautifully situated above Petra in a quiet village with exquisite views of the sea and the gentle sound of goats' bells for company. It has everything you need and was sparklingly clean. It's a place where you can relax into a slower pace of life. We loved exploring Lesvos and Dimitris had a multitude of recommendations for fine beaches, scenes of natural beauty, tavernas and restaurants. He and Georgia have a deep love of the island and were keen to share that with us. They are also artists. Georgia's beautiful ceramics and Dimitris's Platonic solids were a revelation - truly beautiful. They were very generous with their time, showing us their process of making in their studio behind the house and even giving us an introduction to ceramics. Gifted artists and warm hosts - we couldn't ask for more. Their enthusiasm is inspiring. Due to travel restrictions we nearly didn't make the trip; we're so glad that we were able to. We stayed for three weeks and could have stayed for a lot longer. Thank you Georgia and Dimitris!

Peaceful spot with beautiful views

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Dimitris, the host, was very friendly and helpful. This is the place to go if you want peace and quiet and to get away from it all. The house itself is down a long, narrow dirt track, which we had a little trouble finding! The views are spectacular and Petri is a very pretty, tiny hamlet, not too remote though because Petra with shops, restaurants and beaches is just a very short drive away.

Very nice setting, beatiful views of Petra. House has everything you need except dishwasher. Traditional greek house. A little secluded but good place to relax. Owners live next door so anything you'll need, they are there for help. Thanks to Dimitri and Giorgina.

Lovely setting Serene

Nice Windows a bit drafty but good heaters. Good hot water for dishes and Quick showers Kitchen is fully stocked. Demitris and Georgina great people.

Country elegance

The villa is charming! Just remote enough but convenient to the local Taverna. The bed linens are crisp and the bed is firm and comfortable. The windows sparkle, the floors are gleaming and the furnishings are in good taste. Our hosts were a delight. The beaches of Petra are an easy drive down the hill.

Wonderful villa, great location, perfect place!

Two families rented this lovely house for six days in July. From our first impression to our last moments at the house we didn't stop congratulating ourselves for finding such a wonderful place in such a perfect location. The hosts are very friendly and gracious. They joined us for some music, food and ouzo, and we had a blast. They are very talented potters, and make and sell very lovely pottery from their shop next door. The house is gorgeous and very well equiped, with AC, very comfortable beds, and a spectacular view. It is on a hill in the tiny village of Petri, just a couple kilometers from Petra, with its great beach and waterfront tavernas. And Molyvos is just a couple minutes drive. We also did day trips to Eressos, the petrified forest. There's also a hot springs right on the beach just past Molyvos. We loved this place and couldn't recommend it more highly.
