Casa Moonshine is a new, self-sufficient home in the peaceful, off-grid community of Zacatitos on the East Cape of Baja. We offer two booking options depending on the number of people in your party. This option includes two poolside studio casitas and a two-bedroom garden casita with a tranquil lounge pool and a beautiful palm-thatched roof palapa surrounded by an ancient grove of giant Cardón Cacti and gardens that complement the natural scenery.

FOUR BEDROOMS, TWO KITCHENETTES AND THREE BATHROOMS.
Can accommodate up to 8 Adults and 2 Children with three queen beds, two twin beds and two cots.


DETAILS
Fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the Sea of Cortez. Wake up to the sweet sounds of songbirds. Casa Moonshine is a modern retreat in a rural Baja paradise designed with privacy and serenity in mind. Playa los Zacatitos, a pristine, swimmable beach, is only 1/4 mile away.

Two identical poolside casitas each include:

- A comfortable queen-sized bed and a single cot mattress to accommodate one child.
- Fully stocked kitchenette (refrigerator, oven, sink, stove, coffee maker, and necessities for cooking and dining.)
- Full bathroom including towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap.
- Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall sliding glass doors bring in plenty of natural light and stunning pool and cactus views.

A third casita is tucked into the gardens out of direct view of the pool area.

The two-bedroom garden casita includes:

- Two connecting bedrooms.
- One queen-sized bed and two twin-size beds.
- One shared bathroom including towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap.
- Large sliding glass doors allowing in light and scenic garden views.
- The Garden Casita does not have air conditioning or a kitchenette.

The swimming pool is just a few steps outside the studio casitas, with giant cacti, palm trees, and blooming desert foliage as a picturesque backdrop and privacy barrier. The pool's shallow end is about a foot deep and perfect for wading, while the deep end is ideal for swimming or taking a refreshing dip on a hot day.

The spacious outdoor living area, under the cool shade of the palapa, provides abundant comfortable seating and plenty of room to gather and enjoy your meals together. The palapa is the place to be for a mid-day siesta in a hammock, to tune out and read a book, play card games, or kick back and relax with a cold beverage.

A sufficient workstation could be set up under the palapa for those who work remotely. A reliable wi-fi connection is available throughout the property.


ACCESS
With this booking option, guests will have full access to the entire half-acre property, all three casitas, the palapa, and the pool. The casitas will not be rented individually to separate parties. During your stay, you will enjoy the privacy of having the entire property all to yourself.


OFF-THE-GRID
Casa Moonshine is a self-sufficient home in the remote, off-grid community of Zacatitos. We rely on solar power, water storage, and septic systems. Conservation of these resources is vital.
Because of our unique off-grid situation, it is important to know that there are some amenities Casa Moonshine does not offer, such as television, microwave, dishwasher, disposal and laundry facilities.


WILDLIFE
Zacatitos is home to an abundance of wildlife. You will surely meet some of these friendly locals during your stay.
Wild Burros , Free Range Cattle, Deer, Silver Fox, Iguanas, Rabbits, Vultures, Hawks and a wide variety of other birds and reptiles.

The East Cape is wild terrain in the Sonoran Desert on the Sea of Cortez. With that comes many interesting life forms, including plants, insects, reptiles and sea life. That is why we love it! We take pride in our thorough cleaning practices but try not to use harmful chemicals that will hurt the unique ecosystem. Because of this, you may encounter a bug that you might not see at a resort.
