THE BUILDING - HARBOR 171 This property is private for owners and renters. The entrance is gated and security is on-site 24/7. Neighborhood Harbor 171 is located in the southern section of the "Hotel Zone" or "Zona Hotelera" and is the center point of Puerto Vallarta, in-between Marina Vallarta and El Centro (downtown).
Getting around The last stretch of road to Harbor 171 is an unpaved, dirt road however, the building has an ideal location, it is 15 minutes from the airport by taxi, and only a 10-minute bus ride ($0.50 USD) to downtown. Cabs and Ubers are readily available and the bus stop is just one block from the property. You can also walk to the Malecon (Vallarta's famous boardwalk) in 25 mins. 5 minute-walk to Office Max where you can get any office supplies. Grocery stores, trendy Versalles restaurants, and many other conveniences are also within walking distance.
Other things to note Please note: The last stretch of road leading to the building is unpaved.

Access wristbands will be provided at check-in and must be worn while using the common areas during your stay.
An access card is required to use the gym. It will be provided at check-in, and a replacement fee of $1,000 MXN will apply if lost.
You will be required to agree to a condominium consent form and provide a copy of your identification in advance. Any violation of the condominium rules may attract a fine of $100 USD or more.
One weekly housekeeping is included for stays of 7 nights or more. Renters must be at least 25 years old. Supplies are provided to begin your stay, if you run out it is your responsibility to replace them. Beach equipment including beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent.

Excellent Beach front
We have stayed at this building a few times and continue to enjoy our stays. This is first time staying in smaller unit but it worked out great for just 2 of us. The place was clean, beds were comfortable. Views are amazing, lots of whale watching. pools are nice. Great staff, security. lots of nice restaurants nearby, grocery stores are close by. We will definitely be back as weather is always beautiful. communication was excellent with property manager(Mariela)

Very clean and comfortable very well supplied with cooking utensils, quiet, great view from the balcony, a minor item the shower water temperature was lukewarm at best. We could have had maintenance look at it but as stated not a huge deal, communication with our host was excellent

Sun and fun
Very nice complex. Very attentive to any questions we had. Unfortunately, hot tub closed the whole time for our building and bigger and smaller pools closed for 2 days, then after opening, closed the other bigger pool. Surprised they did maintenance during a busy season! Beautiful setting. Easy to get around town. Lots of good restaurants. Our unit was very nice. Kitchen area a bit small but ok.

very nice condo
The apartments very nice and all went well. We did have issues with the TV originally, but the management company person came even on her day off to fix it which was very much appreciated. Also, one of the neighbors smoke cigars a lot, so many times we had to keep the sliding glass door shut and come inside and not enjoy the balcony as much,

Nice condo/not the best location
The condo and its property are well maintained. The condo was supplied with amenities-someone thought of everything. The view is spectacular. While the listing does tell you that the road is not paved, it is next to a smelly "river" with roosters and chickens and workers everywhere. If you go grocery shopping at Soriana, you either have to carry the groceries down said road about 1/4mile or take one of their grocery carts (which seems to be ok) down a very bumpy, dusty road. It's a little too far from downtown to easily walk and yet too close to take a cab or an Uber every time. Great pools! It would have been nice to have a bar and some food options. You have to get down there early to grab a chaise lounge if you want a sunny spot. Because of the location and the dirt road that I did not feel completely safe on at night and the lack of pool service, I would not stay here again. The condo itself is great. If you book, give the concierge a detailed shopping list and have her stock the condo before you get there. It would have made our stay so much easier.

For convenience, we do recommend our concierge service for grocery stocking, as you suggested—it’s an excellent way to start your vacation stress-free.
We appreciate your honest feedback about safety and access. While the area is generally considered safe, we understand personal comfort levels vary. To enhance convenience, we encourage guests to use taxis or rideshares like Uber, which are very affordable and easy to access in the area. Additionally, food delivery platforms are widely available, offering a variety of dining options right to your door.
