{CABIN #1 of 4} "THE PEACEFUL CABIN" PET FRIENDLY!
Very clean! Fully loaded with free WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, bedrooms contain 43â TVs, stove refrigerator microwave, fireplace with wood!, also fire pen outside! All bathroom condiments provided! Beautiful for relaxing, gatherings, and great Barbecue area!.. River across the street stocked for Trout Fishing!
Cabin was well maintained. Deck and seating were great. Check in process was easy and property owner was easy to work with. Would definitely return for a future trip.
Perfect place for a getaway, the cabin was very clean and secluded/private but still close to everything. The owner was very hospitable and made it clear he cared about us and our stay there. With both and indoor and an outdoor fireplace it's a wonderful and cozy place to stay year round. 10/10 cabin that I would recommend to anyone
We had a wonderful time. Place was clean which is the first thing I look for. Host was very polite and a pleasure to talk to. He responded immediately to my questions. I hope to go back and stay.
This cabin was a perfect choice for our weekend with friends in WV. Short distance to New River Gorge, close to several small towns with things to do, but also secluded. The host was excellent, friendly, lives very close to the property, and offered us everything we needed. Very clean & just right. Would come again
Host was very responsive and friendly. Beds are cozy. Kitchen space sufficient for basic food prep. Overall can recommend but be aware of some quirks:Heating was a little funny, very hot next to the furnace and upstairs where I was sweating; it's not quite as nice in bedrooms downstairs.TV was oddly like 10 feet up the wall so you can't comfortably watch it The floor in the bathroom was broken and just generally taped, covered by rug.
Friends were in from out of State and we had a get together. It was a smooth check in that lead us to a beautiful cabin in a beautiful place. It was as, advertised.
What a beautiful place! Waking up to the sounds of Paint Creek was just what we needed. Our cabin was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Ron w/Paint Creek vacation homes was so welcoming, and he was 100% available for anything we needed. We will definitely be staying there every time we come back!
Went down to raft and celebrate the wifeâs birthday. Cabin was awesome! Beautiful area and very quiet. Nice creek right out front if you like to fish. Easy access to all amenities. Host was great and even had birthday balloons hanging when we got there. Fire pit, nice grill, great deck w/ plenty of chairs. 10 out of 10
The grandkids loved making s'mores in the outdoor firepit. The charcoal grill was like new and our steaks were delicious. The property manager was a delight to work with, immediately responding to resolve any questions or issues. It was too hot over Fathers Day Weekend to use the beautiful stone fireplace inside the cabin. We loved sitting on the deck where we could hear the water flowing across the street. There was a nice family owned diner/cafe only 15 minutes away with a huge breakfast menu. It was convenient for visiting New River Gorge National Park. 7 of us, including our children and two grandchildren and we found it comfortable. Prior to.arriving, I was concerned about having only one bathroom for 7 people but it wasn't an issue at all. Four of us showered at night and 3 in the morning, so it worked out perfectly. Our son and the boys slept in the loft while our daughter and her husband slept in one of the two main bedrooms. We even had our two shih-tzu pups with us. It is definitely pet friendly. Everything looked and smelled clean and fresh.
We actually booked this cabin twice (to and from vacation in another state). The windy road to get tot he cabin was difficult as it has steep banks and only one lane. We had to back up for oncoming cars. There is another road but it didnât work with the direction we were heading.
Between first and second stay the owner added updated coffee machine, dishwater, and a table and chairs for the deck. We spoke with him briefly outside as he noted he lives on the property as well.
The first stay we did see some spiders and things in the upstairs beds (didnât think much of it given that itâs a cabin). On the return trip however we only stayed two hours (most of which we ate on the deck and cooled off in the river). We left and drove home thru the night (not planned) because we found a roach in the bathroom. We did message the owner who noted he treats the property and that in his opinion it was a beetle.
Enjoyed the river beside the cabin however and again giving benefit of the doubt we think the owner is really trying to update and make the cabins nice.
This cabin was an ideal spot for our family of 4 (mom, dad, adult & teen daughters) to crash after a day of whitewater rafting. We had a stunning view of the milky way after dark from the front patio, and we were just across the street from a scenic babbling brook. The owner was also helpful & attentive through the check-in process. We were a bit disappointed that the towels smelled like cigarettes (there was an ashtray on the bedside table), and the cabin had the strong smell of a dryer sheet, but we'd chalk that up to rustic charm of the area.
The cabin is in a very nice and quiet location. The property is very well maintained and well equipped with anything you might need. The host was excellent with communication. I would highly recommend.
