This unique place has a style all its own. Located in Los Chonchos Eco Village, Casa Huesos was just built in 2022 and is the newest palapa in the small eco preserve. Furnishings are rustic, simple, natural and a bit on the posh side 😏 Located at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean with mountain views that are breathtaking!! A magical place with everything and nothing to do.
The space
Casa Huesos is the ultimate off the grid getaway, with just enough conveniences (fridge, hot running water, solar power) and posh furnishings to make you feel comfortable and right at home.

We are located an hour south of Puerto Vallarta in the Los Chonchos eco development which is a group of 21 palapas spread out among the jungle hillsides, two sand beaches and a pebble beach tide pool! A full time staff (English and Spanish speaking) is onsite to welcome you when you arrive and help with anything that you need.

Los Chonchos has no roads and is best reached via water taxi which leaves twice a day from Boca de Tomatlan located 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. The 40 minute boat ride is a highlight of the trip as you cruise down the breathtaking Pacific coastline, stopping at several picturesque beach towns, including Yelapa. The nearby town of Chimo has roads and cars but is a 45 minute mountain/beach hike.

This eco-friendly palapa runs on solar power for the lights and fridge and has outlets to charge phones and laptops. We have running water from a mountain spring and purified drinking water, propane kitchen range and water heater for hot showers. We have Wi-Fi but it has proven unreliable. Some guests have been able to get internet via cell but only intermittently so it is good to plan on being "unplugged".

The palapa sleeps five to six comfortably (queen bed, twin in living area plus 2 twins in loft that can be converted to king as needed).

The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, glasses and utensils. Dining area with hand-hewn table/chairs with seating for four or more. Full bathroom with hot shower, sink, flush toilet.

Unplug and relax in our open air palapa with an uninterrupted view of the wide open ocean and lush green coastline.
