The best part of our stay was the great neighborhood and views. It was very quiet, laid back, and safe. Convenient location to everything you need. The condo was clean and property manager communicative. Cons: TV in bedroom broken, clothes dryer malfunctioning, better communicatin regarding the many keys to the apt and what you need them for would have been helpful ahead of time. We would still stay again as it was clean, affordable, safe, and quiet!
Great, cozy stay with everything you need close by.
The Balcony overlooking the Ocean is worth the price! Great options on site: Pool, Basketball, Pickelball, Tennis courts and of course a few footsteps from an awesome beach if you just want to relax! Also very close to some great Food Kiosks on a neighboring Beach.
I have stayed at Playa Azul II before but in a different unit and this one by far was the nicest. The large patio/balcony is wonderful, TVs and internet worked great, and kitchen was well stocked. Place looks just like the photos. Only disappointment was that there were only two beach chairs and one was broken and no beach towels.
Our family had a wonderful stay there! Private and beautiful beach front just few minutes away! Plus a supermarket is cross the street! Great location, great facility! The most popular places are within only a half hour driving! Please remember to ask landlord to give you the key for the private beach door. We didn't get it & had to wait for others to open for us!

Small but cozy
Good. Location was great. Unfortunatly Pool was cloudy but beach is just a short distance away. Apartment was tidy, however the shower floor needed to be clean so I took that upon myself prior to use.
This apartment was in an older complex which had clearly seen better days. The property was relatively well equipped. It was certainly functional but lacked even one ounce of charm.
This is great apartment in nice gated community with pool and parking and some basketball courts. The complex is across the street from the beach. Literally 2mins. The elevators were ok they are odds and even. 1 of each set was always out but it wasn't any inconvenience. The staff is super friendly. It's located about 30-40 mins from SJU. Super easy drive especially if you take the toll road. There is supermarket across the road route 3 you can see from the unitl and shopping complex for all other thing. There are several restaurants within walking distance or if u want to be lazy you can drive. The host was very attentive.
The unit is in a quiet section of the building so you can hear the waves at night and just enjoy and fall asleep. The apartment has all things you need washer and dryer. Plates silverware coffee maker toaster and blender. It has 1.5 bathroom.
First I would like to say that I have stayed in Luquillo before and I always have had an excellent time when we visit the Northeast part of the Island. This time we traveled for the Fourth of July Holiday and also for my birthday which is on the 5th.
There are many things to do in this area and I along with my girlfriend enjoyed every minute of it this time around. If you can take one day and go to the island of Vieques you will not regret this experience. There are beautiful emerald beaches there and the restaurants are world class. We ate at "El Bili" and we had the best Snapper Creole and Conch fish salad we've had in years. Their passion fruit margaritas are not bad either!
This is the first time we stayed at Hector's apartment and all we can say is WOW!
We loved this modern apartment so much that we're planning in coming back here for our Christmas vacations at the end of this year. It has all the amenities you can think of, like Wi-fi, Huge Flat screen TV's, Surround sound and an amazingly spectacular view of the ocean.
My only suggestion for the travelers that are technical handicapped like myself is to get Hector to give you a quick demo on how their whole interactive TV system works that way you don't spend hours like myself trying to figure it out.
As far as customer service I can tell you that Hector is only a phone call away and will respond immediately to any questions you might have about anything at all.
Can't wait to get back!
There are 2 elevators in the lobby and one of them was out of service. The worst part is the remaining elevator needed to be placed out of service also. When riding in the elevator you hear what sounds like chains slamming against the elevator and the elevator shaft. They have signs posted in the elevator and outside of it to keep the weight limit to a minimum. It also states that the security in the lobby would monitor and assist to which they did not help at all. Unfortunately I had to reduce my usage of the elevator to a minimum because I was literally scared to use it. I also had to wait in line at some points to get on the elevator and at that point people were definitely exceeding the weight limit. Scary situation especially when you are staying on the 9th floor. Also in the hallway on the ceiling there was exposed rebar that appeared to be rusted. Location wise it is great but due to these safety concerns I will not return.
WOW! Staying at this condo was like living a dream!
From the moment you open the front door you are in awe! The amazing ocean view is there for you from almost every angle in the apt. You get ocean view from the kitchen, from the living room and bedroom.
The balcony is big and you have plenty of chairs and a nice size round table. You also have an electric grill in the balcony (nice bonus). You will also find 2 beach chairs and 3 boogies boards.
Apartment is kept in excellent conditions and it's very very clean. Huge TV in the living room and a second TV in the bedroom.
Carmen and Hector were extremely helpful and nice. I really appreciated their interest in making sure that everything was alright!
The location of the apartment is very good too. You are about 40-45 min from the airport. You have a supermarket right across the street (AMIGO supermarket). The apartment is equipped with all cooking essentials.
Bathroom is well equipped with regular towels and beach towels.
If you are looking for a good spot for breakfast and lunch; take a walk to Aromas Rest. This place has amazing coffee and great breakfast and lunch items.
For dinner take a ride to Kiokos de Luquillo (5 min. away in car) and try "La Parilla Rest" high quality seafood in a very casual and nice environment.
The Costa Azul beach is beautiful and quiet. Just like paradise!
I'm so happy that I found this property! I look forward to future trips to beautiful PR and to future stays at this condo.
The views from the balcony were amazing! The security personnel were super friendly. We really enjoyed the use of beach chairs and towels. The property on line details had warned about the elevators, not an issue. the condo grounds and pool were kept immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place.
The condo was great!!! Expedia was totally inept!!!! Their incompetence almost cost me a wonderful stay. There is no condo with the number t2@9, nobody knows where that is! Itâs condo 902 and they never sent the code for the lockbox! I was able to get it straightened out the next day thanks to some great help from the condo owners!!
The apartment was as advertised and was clean. There was a sign in the bathroom that said white washcloths could not be used for makeup removal (or you will be charged) yet no dark colored ones were provided. The check-in process was quick and easy and the host was nice through messages. The apartment could use a little TLC. Numerous lightbulbs were burned out, drapes are hard to open and door to balcony does not close easily. I'm sure some of these things are a result of being so close to the ocean and aren't a huge deal, but could help the overall feel of the apartment. The bed quality was similar to a pullout in a living room. The center has a dip that my husband kept sinking into. The AC worked great and the view was awesome. As far as the building goes, it's pretty outdated. One of the elevators was out of order and the one that was operable was slow. It also stopped on the floor below us every single time we went down (not up) and there was no one ever there. We didn't use the amenities, but they seemed nice. Overall a good stay for the price.
Carmen was responsive to issues we encountered with our stay. Unit is dark and needs updating. It was missing several items listed on the booking. No grill, no ceiling fans, no beach towels, 2 beach chairs only, and hairdryer was broken. This unit should be listed as appropriate for 2 guests only as it is very small for me, my husband, and teen daughter. Only 2 bath towels available. No blanket or pillows available for pullout couch. Salt, pepper, coffee filters were available but no other seasonings or supplies. No detergent for washer. All of this being said, the view and location were lovely. Close to beach, ferry, and el yunque. Carmen was responsive and brought beach and bath towels, a new hair dryer, and offered to pay for the pillows we had to purchase.
The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the view from the balcony was great! The only thing I did not like was that the apartment is on the 9th floor thereâs 2 elevators, 1 for even numbers and 1 for odd numbers. When we arrived the only one working was the even numbers one. So each time we had to take the elevator to the 10th floor and walk down. When the other elevator was fixed they didnât tell us. We noticed when we were leaving that the even numbers elevator was broken and the odd numbers were fix.
Beach! Beach! Beach! Very private and cozy building. If you want to relax and enjoy our beautiful beach, this is the place place for you. No wonder it is rated among the best reviews over the years!
