Stunning water views. 7 minutes from Munising Pictured Rocks boat cruises.
Beautiful enclosed sunroom w/ wraparound water views. Super clean & cozy. Infrared sauna, kayaking, swimming, hiking & snowshoeing. Located near snowmobile trails. Groomed CC ski trails only 10 min away!
Plenty of space for our family of 6. Extra rooms to spread out and take in the views. We really enjoyed being right on the lake and having access to kayaks. Beautiful views and everything is just as pictured. Could use a few things to make it feel a little more âhomeyâ, but had all of the basics. Easy drive to pictured rocks. WiFi worked well at the cabin but no phone service. The house is ALL the way at the end of the road so it was a little tricky to find at first. Just keep going!
The location was wonderful with all sorts of wildlife to see from within the property. Comfortable and cozy although felt a bedside table would have been helpful. Be aware mosquitos bad in summer so we did not try kayaks. Able to stay indoors as there are good screens on windows in the room that looks over the lake. Would love to try at another time of year.Be aware a little confusing finding the access as it says Dead End and you see a garage but go on past it even with GPS. Perhaps a wee sign with an arrow for the house number on tree above that would help. Not far from town for any needs and eating out.

The key to property had been taken home by prior guest and no spare key so property had to stay unlocked during our stay. The property manager seemed upset that I was leery of this. Only light in sunroom had a broken switch. Ice cubes came out of icemaker brown tinged and property manager explained this as prior guests making iced coffee (through a water line??). Latch on back door not working properly. She was responsive in coming with her husband to fix this. Bedroom window glass was shattered. Stated it was from a storm the previous week.
Perfect spot for us to stay as we explored the UP! It was very quiet and comfortable for our group. Plus we were within driving distance to tons of great things to see.
The house is wonderful and very comfortable just like described, the location is truly amazing, secluded and so beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. We plan to go there again next summer for sure.... We Loved It!!
The views were amazing from inside and outside the home. Very private and serene setting yet easily accessed. Water was not ideal for swimming, moreso for fishing, but we visited Miners Beach locally and had a blast swimming there. Access to kayaks was a nice touch. Some of our guests struggled with the lack of central air conditioning but central air isn't that common in this area of the UP, and it cooled down at night very nicely (we had temps near and above 80 for two of our days). Very proximate to Munising and felt like a quick drive. The home and experience could use a few touches to make it exceptional, but overall our group of five (plus two kids) had a very enjoyable stay. Couch was very large for a group and comfortable, sunroom was lovely to enjoy coffee in and play games, dining table was massive, and kitchen was well appointed.
Recommend taking day trips to explore all the beauty the area has to offer. Was equally enjoyable to spend the evenings and nights back at the home stargazing, having bon fires, fishing, or swinging in the hammock.
This home on Lost Lake is located on a beautiful, peaceful lake. It is pretty private other than the occasional passing boat. The road out to it does turn into a gravel/dirt road. The house itself was clean, however we had a terrible experience out of the water during our stay. When we arrived, we noticed that the water was visibly brown, had a metal-smell, and had very little pressure. While we don't necessarily expect conditions in rental homes to be the same as our own homes, we do expect to at least have clean water and enough pressure to rinse the soap off your body in the shower. We reached out to the host and a plumber was brought in the next day. He removed a clogged filter, but was unable to replace it with a new one. Removing the clog did give us enough pressure to get by, but still left the water brown and smelly. A new filter had to be ordered, leaving us with those water conditions the remainder of our trip. We understand that things happen suddenly, that's part of life, however we did get the impression that we were brushed off after that point with the water, outside of an apology. With paying $400 a night to stay here, we at very least would expect some sort of reparation for the unsanitary water (offer to help us find another place to stay, offer a partial refund, or even just offer to buy us a couple gallons of clean water for basic needs such as rinsing a toothbrush). We wanted to love this home, but unfortunately the water conditions did put a damper on th
