Cet appartement lumineux et entièrement meublé est situé au premier étage d'une maison familiale de 3 étages avec seulement 4 unités. Il vous offre une terrasse privée et spacieuse avec vue sur la piscine, une deuxième terrasse privée à l'arrière et une terrasse commune sur le toit avec une vue imprenable sur l'océan. L'appartement a été rénové en 2011; il est entièrement équipé, ventilateurs de plafond, fenêtres grillagées et climatisation dans la chambre. La chambre est équipée d'un lit Queen Size; La salle de bain est lumineuse et spacieuse.

Profitez de la brise douce du gazebo spacieux au bord de la piscine et marchez à seulement 150 mètres de la belle plage. Toutes les commodités de Costambar comme les restaurants, bars, court de tennis de supermarché, salle de gym et terrain de golf sont à seulement 5-8 minutes à pied. Le centre historique de Puerto Plata, le parc aquatique Ocean World et le téléphérique menant au parc national du mont Isabel sont à 5 minutes en voiture. Vous trouverez les transports en commun à la porte d'entrée de Costambar. Nous organisons également des excursions privées dans notre propre voiture vers toutes les principales attractions touristiques. Les prix commencent à 30 US $ par personne. Everything was great. the owner was very nice and welcoming, the beach nearby is beautiful with pretty clear water and soft sand. The room was decent and convenient (same as photos). The owner also organizes flexible day tours tailored to your neêds. Overall great experience and worth the money.

This was really convenient and as an added bonus the neighborhood is gated with 24 hour security. We were about a 45 second walk from the beach and plenty of food options. Quiet property with a really kind host.

Delightful Costambar Stay!!!

The location is priceless. Bertha and Michael are attentive and responsive. The entire stay was wonderful!!!! I decided to stay in the DR for a while so I moved closer to Sosua, however I will be spending more weekends at Michael and Bertha place!

I was robbed on the day BEFORE I checked out. My laptop with very important business and personal files was stolen. All my cash for my travel the next day and an insulated bag full of grocery items was stolen. A window screen was cut to appear as if the theif entered through that window but the opening was not wde enough for anyone to climb through and the window was too high for anyone to climb into without a ladder. All the evidence indicated it was someone with a key to the unit. The owner lives on the property and was at home all day but swears he did not hear anything and swore that the cleaning lady was not the one because she was his wife's family. Yet, when the police requested information about his staff, he said he did not know where they lived, had no data on them and became beligerent, defensive, uncooperative and rudely closed his door in our faces. He showed no empathy and no interest in resolving the problem. In fact he accused me of being careless and implied that I had something to do with the theft. There were no security cameras anywhere on his property but a review of a security camera video located at the main entrance to the community, showed his cleaning lady and groundskeeper leaving the compound with what clearly appeared to be a laptop in her fabric handbag, and she is seen covering her face as she goes across the security camera. The property manager kept making excuses to explain every bit of evidence that was provided to him. NOT SAFE! DIRTY!

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay at this VRBO. This quiet property was beautiful and clean.The host and hostess were so friendly. The only drawback that I had was that the internet was spotty. This property was a three minute walk to the beach. The beach was a great swimming beach but wasn't good for snorkeling or surfing. It also wasn't as clean as a resort beach would be. There is a grocery store and one restaurant in walking distance, but you really need a car or taxi to get into Puerto Plata for more variety. If you are looking for a resort type trip this isn't the place for you, but if you are looking to experience Dominican Republic as the locals do you will love this place. This is why we loved it. We would go back in a heartbeat. Michael also suggested we go to the waterfalls and that was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We loved it.

Muggy and Cold

The accommodations have so many issues as does the availability of the owners. The doors don't close, the ceiling fan in the bedroom is so off balance, the living area needs air conditioning. Internet can't reach the bedroom and is very spotty in the living room. You pretty much have to go outside to be connected. No attention to detail, just too many issues. Owners were often unavailable, and were not friendly.

Dear Tom T. We regret that your stay with us was not to your satisfaction, nevertheless I consider it as unfair not mentioning any of the reported issues already during your stay and giving us the chance to act immediately. For example, we do have an additional portable WIFI which we could have given you to improve the WIFI connection in the bedroom. All our doors are closing but if one is not closing smooth enough we could have fixed it immediately. Our unit is advertised as AC in the bedroom but not in the Living Room. We live on the property and we are available for the gusts every day. We even waited for you on the arrival day until 1.00am in the morning as you mixed up the arrival airports. Garden of Paradise, and everything within eight minutes' walk.

We spent 8 nights at the Hahns' Casa Tropical. Michael and Bertha were very friendly and took care of everything we needed or asked for. They speak German, Spanish, English and maybe a few more languages. Our apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The casa is peaceful all day, and quiet at night, which we prefer. The pool is clean and refreshing, and gets good sun most of the day. Meals on the balcony provided a nice opportunity to mix with our neighbors and enjoy the lush tropical landscaping (plenty of room to eat in the apartment if you prefer privacy). Michael's suggestions on restaurants, shopping, activities and attractions were all very helpful, and he got us a nice discount on a group tour to one attraction. Most activities we did on our own, having rented a car. No problem parking on the street in front of the Casa Tropical. Driving in the DR demands full attention and high situational awareness. I'm used to US East Coast urban traffic, but the DR definitely steps up the game. The motos (small motorcycles and scooters used to transport individuals, entire families, an array of cargo including building supplies, 40 lb propane tanks, lumber, live chickens, and fare-paying riders) are everywhere from all directions. Taxis, vans and buses are cheap, and probably the better choice for most Norteamericanos. No need to drive if you don't want to. Inside the gated community of Costambar is a nice beach, although a drive of an hour or more will get you to some nicer ones. There is a country club, which has monthly membership ($30) which allows affordable golf, pool, tennis and fitness center. Also in Costambar is Spa Maria, where I got a good massage while my wife got a pedicure and manicure. Jenny Supermarket sells most of what you would need. Four restaurants on the beach and several more between Hahns' and the gate. Everything within eight minute's walk. If we stay again in the Puerto Plata area, we would stay in Costambar, and if we stay in Costambar, it would be with the Hahns.

A hidden gem

We stayed here for only a week but enjoyed it very much. The house is partially hidden in a garden oasis. The tropical plants on the property are beautiful . Sitting around the pool , under the canopy is a great place to relax. We had the apartment with a full kitchen, dining area, spacious bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and it would be easy to stay there for a month and cook all your meals. We ate our breakfast on the patio overlooking the garden and pool. Everything was well maintained and clean. The beach was a 3 minute walk and you could hear the roar of the waves from the house. Plenty of places on the beach for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Stop by Skippers for a Presidente. A great place to stay.

We have chosen this location because we wanted to live in a safe place, close to town but quiet and next to a beautiful beach. We enjoy living in a international community and having all the ammenities in walking distance.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have one of the nicest tropical gardens in Costambar. I like walking a view steps to the beach in the morning and having the whole beach just for myself.
