We were so happy to have found this getaway for our family of 7. The kids said it was better than Disney World! There were accessible hikes, good restaurants, and comfortable accommodations. The hosts left a wealth of information about things to do in the area, my husband and boys enjoyed fishing from the boat out on the lake, and the nightly fires in the fireplace were lovely. We hope to return soon!
My family had another great stay in this lovely home. The beautiful location is perfect for us. We enjoy the easy drive to Paul Smiths. The view of the lake and mountains canât be beat! Weâre hoping to visit again soon.
Everything was perfect. We especially loved being on the water, listening to the loons at night and seeing the stars. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family. Wish we booked two weeks instead of one! Will definitely return. Thank you so very much, Jamie and Chris.
Overall it was a very nice place to vacation; plenty of room, lovely location on the water, nice warming fireplace.
There were a few minor issues: some dirty dishes in the cupboard, no heat upstairs, hard mattresses except in the master bedroom. An engineer in the family believes there was an airlock in heating system No. 4. There was heat near the pump in the basement but the registers were cold.
We rented this house this summer- two families of four. The house itself is nice and well constructed. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are ok, not particularly comfortable. The only issues I had were the proximity of this house to the neighbors- we come annually to the Adirondacks and had never been in a lake house that is so close to the one we rented in this price range. We could hear them talking, and we wanted our dogs (which we paid extra to come) to be able to swim as the Adirondacks is normally a very dog-friendly place but not these neighbors. I would recommend an alternative rental if you have dogs as they must be leashed all the time. Also, the view of the lake is of a bay. Not the open lake. If you are looking for a wide view, this home does not have one. Features like the outdoor fire ring were fun.
We enjoyed everything about this property, from the location to all the amenities. The house is wonderfully appointed with Adirondack decor and has a real comfortable lodge feel. Kitchen and dining room were very adequate for all of our meals and family gaming. The screened in porch offers a great indoor/outdoor experience for early morning and evening quiet time as you listen to the abundant loons calling from the lake below. The boathouse and deck right on the water is a great gathering and relaxing spot, to both see and hear looms. The cove is very quiet with little boat traffic as it is tucked away off the main lake body. The picturesque view from the boathouse deck to the mountains across the lake offered a great opportunity for dramatic daily photographs in the constantly changing skies. There is a boat launch at the Saranac Inn, just a short distance from the camp, making it very convenient for bringing a power boat. The Fish Creek camp store is just a short drive away and is a great resource for food, beverages, take-away dining, and so many other necessities you may have forgotten if you shopped at a larger supermarket coming into the area. And, there is also a small liquor store located next to the camp store to save yourself a trip to Tupper or Saranac Lake. If you plan to barbecue be prepared to do it on a charcoal grille. All on all, an excellent property and family vacation experience.
Just the best place to be. Kitchen was so beautiful that we cooked in every day. Peaceful, serene lake and private. The owners were easy to get in touch with. We did not want to leave.
We loved the home and location very much. We spent many hours on the sundeck looking at the lake and St. Regis mountain! Great fire pit area. It was close to all the paddling, SUPing , and hiking we like to do! The owners were helpful and had a great amount of information about the property and area which was great! A great spot we hope to stay at again next year.
Our lake experiences, for 25 years, have been scheduled throughout summers, but as our kids become adults, our together-time required flexibility. Christmas to New Years became our challenge so we chose a lake house anyway! Destination? Lakeside Pines! What a treat! Our familyâs five-star review speaks to our hostsâ graciousness and their homeâs comfort. There is so much more to do in winter at the lake than we imagined and when we came home to a well equipped kitchen, hot showers and a roaring fire, we enjoyed a memorable family experience here. We are a tall bunch so I will only point out the bed sizes - they are small. You will sleep well anyway. Thank you Jamie!
My family spent a wonderful week here! The home was spacious and comfortable with stunning views of the lake, mountains and night sky. The deck on top of the boat house was an awesome place for an autumn picnic. The lake was great for canoeing and seeing loons. We would be very happy to stay here again.
Spotless cabin with everything you need right there. Beautiful ADK themed interior with perfect view of the mountains and lake out the screened in porch , the fire pit or large boathouse deck. The place is obviously well thought out and well designed. Even though it is a beautifully wooded lot, the many large windows bring lots of sunshine into the cabin. Jaime and Chris were very kind and organized! They provided a binder full of useful information and tips and were quick with any communication.
A really nice place to stay with lots of privacy. The outdoor deck was great for relaxing. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Close to Saranac Lake and lots of hikes.
Gorgeous lakefront location and beautiful home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Pines. Our mornings started with coffee on the screened in porch watching and listening to the loons on the lake.... days were spent hiking nearby mountains, paddling our kayaks in the lake or nearby ponds, and using the house rowboat to fish in the cove. This is a very clean and well decorated home in a beautiful and extremely peaceful location.
Really pretty classic Adirondack house in a beautiful lakeside setting. Upper Saranac Lake is a pretty pristine spot, and the house is beautifully situated in the trees, with a lovely deck overlooking a quiet bay.
We had such an amazing time staying at Lakeside Pines. Jamie and Chris were wonderful hosts who were extremely responsive to our questions and extremely flexible and accommodating. The house is beautiful and perfect for a winter stay in the Adirondacks. It is warm, has an extremely cozy and large living and dining area, and the bedrooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The property is wonderful and the views over the lake are amazing. We loved every moment of our stay! Jamie and Chris' housekeeping team is also amazing and very helpful, and we are glad we used their stock the pantry service, which is invaluable given the distance to the nearest supermarket (in the winter).

The house and property were beautiful and very comfortable. It was relatively new for an adirondack camp, but it had a very lived in, old time feel to it. The house had lots of wood, the layout was great and there was so much light with the skylights and large windows. This is unusual in a heavily wooded property. It was only a few steps down to the dock or a few steps over the little bridge to the upper deck of the dock with plenty of seating. The view was amazing. It was quiet and peaceful. The lake bottom was sandy and shallow, which would be great for children, although as adults we enjoyed that also. Four of us stayed in the house: two couples. Although the other couple had the master bedroom downstairs, my husband and I did not stay in the downstairs guest bedroom, but instead decided to stay upstairs in the room with the futon because it was like having our own master suite with the bath on that floor. Very private for us. I will say that the futon could have been a bit softer, but we managed. We would consider staying here again.
We have stayed at numerous homes in the Adirondacks and this home was truly exceptional, I would recommend to anyone. Very clean, well maintained, great location, great owners!!!
