Penthouse situé dans le coeur de Reykjavik

L'appartement est sur les deux derniers étages dans un nouveau bâtiment sur Laugavegur, la principale rue commerçante. L'appartement est de 75 m2 ou 800 pieds carrés dans la taille. En bas se trouve une salle de bains avec baignoire et douche, une cuisine, un salon avec un canapé 3 places, une grande télévision et une grande fenêtre orientée au sud vers Hallgrimskirkja. La chambre est à l'étage avec un balcon offrant une excellente vue vers le sud sur le centre-ville (voir photo en haut de la page).

L'appartement peut accueillir 2-4 personnes. Il est entièrement meublé avec tous les services, tels que réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, cuisinière, grille-pain, lave-vaisselle, vaisselle pour 6 personnes, baignoire / douche, lave-linge / sèche-linge, 37 'écran plat, lecteur DVD, Apple TV, mobile téléphone avec un numéro local, hotspot WiFi mobile, connexion Internet haut débit sans fil, lit bébé et un lit double Bo-Concept avec un matelas en mousse visco-élastique (similaire à Tempur-Pedic). Il y a un ascenseur jusqu'au 4ème étage, puis un escalier intérieur de l'appartement entre les deux étages. Une place de parking dans un garage fermé dans le bâtiment peut être fournie à seulement 20 EUR par jour.

We really enjoyed our stay here - great location, great views (saw some Northern Lights out both sides of the apartment!), fully stocked to cook "at home" to save money on the high restaurant costs, and almost instant response from the host when we had any questions. Highly recommend!

Great flat and Jon was fantastic with comms beforehand. The location was absolutely first class in the heart of city - exactly where you need to be. Apartment was also great, all you could need, with shops and bars very close by indeed. Could not recommend this apartment any more - give it a try!

Best Place to Stay

We absolutely loved Jon’s penthouse apartment! It was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and Jon was a great host. The location was the best. We enjoyed having easy access to all the shops and restaurants, plus it was centrally located for exploring Reykjavik. We rented the parking spot from Jon, which made parking super easy. We are already talking about our next trip to Iceland and we would love to stay here again!

Perfect location!

This was my first VRBO rental on my own with my two teenage boys. So clean, easy and efficient. We had a rental car and got the available parking spot in the garage-a must for convenience and low stress! Jon was always available and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We were out snd about all day everyday adventuring and the location made finding dinner so easy. Also, the grocery store right next door meant I could provision so easily. For a mom and two teenage boys this was perfect!

Great apartment in amazing location

This was a fabulous little apartment for our family! The location was perfect. The apartment was well equipped with kitchen and bathroom accessories, which was much appreciated. We were able to save some money by making breakfast each morning instead of eating every meal out. It had amazing views and we could walk everywhere from there. Parking is difficult in that neighborhood, so I definitely recommend taking advantage of the parking space if you rent a car. We found the car very helpful for touring the golden circle, southern Iceland, and going to the Blue Lagoon.

GREAT listing!

Jon’s apartment was exactly what we had been looking for during our stay in Iceland. It was very clean, fully stocked with all of the amenities plus some extras like a mobile hot spot. The designated parking space was a bonus as parking wasn’t always easy in the area. It was a great location, walking distance to all of the good cafes and restaurants. Jon was very prompt in his responses always going above and beyond and even offering recommendations. If we come back to Iceland, we will be sure to rent from him again!

PERFECT Rental!

This was my best VRBO experience ever. The apartment is lovely, comfortable, and immaculate, with everything you could possibly need. It is right smack in the middle of Reykjavik's main downtown street, modern in both decor and amenities, and, for the record, the only one we found in Reykjavik with a tub (as opposed to shower only). And it isn't just an ordinary bathtub: it's enormous! The hot water is endless. Jon, the host, provides extras that go above and beyond: he left a mobile wifi hotspot for us to use, which saved us from paying for international cellular and worked much faster than cellular would have. There are even rain ponchos in the closet. Jon is an outstanding host. He checked on us regularly, responded within minutes to any messages we sent, and was beyond gracious and helpful. There is a dedicated parking spot in the building's garage that we rented for $20/night, which was well worth it. I don't have one negative thing to say (and trust me, I can be a bit of a picky princess). I have rented many VRBOs - easily over 20 - and I have never been 100% satisfied as I was with Jon's place. Trust me: you want to rent this place.

Amazing location, spacious apartment and great host

Right in the centre of Reykjavik within walking distance of so many sights, shops and activities that you have to choose which ones out of the array to go for. Host helpful and welcoming. Good instructions about how to get there and a wide selection of books and leaflets in the apartment to help you decide where to go. Lots of opportunities to join organised tours within walking distance; we combined organised trips with own choice days out and used the excellent parking garage under the apartments for the hire car. Very much recommend.

Jon’s attention to detail for this rental is great. His intro video was the best I have ever seen. There were no issues with the penthouse for my family of four adults. We will be back soon! This is a great location and it is walking distance to most everything. The apartment is in good condition and it all worked as designed. We had no issues at all.

My name is Jon and i have been living in Reykjavik for over 20 years. Before that i lived in my old hometown of Akranes. I studied Computer Sciences at the University of Iceland and later did an MBA program at Reykjavik University. I currently work for the city of Reykjavik as Director of IT. I have rented this property to travellers since 2008 with great success. I live in the same building which allows me to respond quickly to any request my guests may have.

This is a unique property and one of the few modern buildings in the central part of town. The location is ideal with all sights and attractions in the centre within walking distance and yet the area is relatively quiet.

My guests are provided with a mobile phone with a local number as well as mobile WiFi hotspot which allows you to share your digital memories instantly, wherever you are. A private in-house parking space can be reserved during your stay. The apartment is equipped with an Apple TV, JBL Extreme Bluetooth Speaker, exceptionally large bath-tub and other amenities, all aimed at making your stay as convenient as possible.
