Parking is an issue, very steep gravel area and a paved driveway that does level off at the top. Beds are queens where there's plenty of room for kings. Mattresses are hard. Beautiful view and the weather was perfect for sitting outside on the deck. Kitchen is well equipped though we didn't cook. Enjoyable stay with great friends, thank you Kelly

Love this place! So close to town it’s easy to walk there, is well-appointed, has a beautiful kitchen and deck space, and perfect for our early summer visit! Will definitely go again!

Great property, great location!

Went up to old forge for a snowmobile trip, couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The host was very easy to communicate and very responsive. The home was extremely clean and smelled great when we walked in. Everything is within walking distance from the property. Couldn’t ask for much more. We will definitely try to stay there again some day!

Christmas Week

We had a family vacation gathering during Christmas week, which included our 1 year old granddaughter. We had so much fun! The house was perfect! We cooked, watched movies, did puzzles, enjoyed cocktails, etc. Thank you! The Townsend and Vanderpool families.

The house was beautiful, decorated for the holidays, close to town so we could walk and plenty of space for 8 adults. Great time was had by all!

Family Wedding Get-Away

Family from far and wide traveled to Old Forge for a niece's wedding. My husband, daughters, their partners and a niece from Denver stayed with us in Kelly's home. The location was awesome, a 5-7 minute walk to town and 5-30 minute drive to amazing hiking trails. The entire house was perfectly stocked with the comforts of home and everything was clean. If we ever head to Old Forge again, we will stay at Kelly's again.

We are all in our 70's

Being in our 70's the driveway is a huge hazard and my husband being a retired builder would have positioned the house differently. I can't imagine going in the winter, the driveway and the area in front of the garage doors need to be blacktopped and maybe that is in the future. The house is very nice and loaded with all the cooking items one would need. We had a wonderful stay, thank you Kelly!

PERFECT LOCATION

We had a wonderful stay! The front deck had a beautiful water view. The house itself was beautiful, comfortable and close to shops, restaurants and beach. We will definitely be back.

The front deck has a great water view with the perfect amount of both sun and shade with a gas fire pit at night. Fully stocked house including k-cups. Tons of room inside the house.

Perfect for a short ski trip

We had the most fun in this cozy chalet with our two dogs, my partner, my teenage son and his friend. It’s within walking distance of the Main Street and lake (but still private as it sits off the main drag) great for taking the dogs for walks, and only a few minutes drive to McCauley Ski Resort. The place is larger than I expected from the photos. Everyone had their own space and we felt right at home. I like to cook and loved the large kitchen! Definitely plan to return!

Christmas Getaway

This home was perfect! There was a well equipped kitchen, stocked bathrooms, comfortable beds and even a Christmas tree and lights up outside waiting for us. It was just what we needed. Would recommend.
