Invited guests from England to stay with us and we all loved it. The beds were comfy, the pillows were the best in 6 months of traveling, the living room and master bedroom overlooked the harbor and North Sea. It is right in town, so shopping and dining are right there. The information from the owner about location was great and the flat had wonderful amenities; full kitchen with washing machine, nice size bath with tub, good size rooms with appropriate furniture and dining tables in kitchen and living area. Would happily stay again.
We stayed for 5 nights in this wonderful two bedroom flat while in Scotland. It is tastefully decorated and has anything and everything you would need for a fabulous vacation. It is in a perfect location right on Shore Street across for the ocean. There are many delicious resturants within walking distance. We used this terrific flat as our home base and traveled each day from here including visiting the Isle of May (from the pier in Anstruther), the Scottish Fisheries Museum (in town just down the street), St. Andrews, and the East Neuk fishing villages of Crail, Elie, St Monan and Pittenweem. You could also take trips to Stirling, Perth and Dundee. This was the nicest place we stayed while we were in Scotland during our 2 1/2 week vacation. Booking and paying for this flat was so easy as we are in the US and could send a check directly to the owner in Florida. This is a treasure so book this flat! You will not be sorry!
Shore Holidays is a delightful apartment, right on the harbour of Anstruther. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with all that we hoped for. Easy to walk to the Co-op and all the village attractions. This was our fourth stay, and we hated to leave. Highly recommend it!
This was a return visit to the apartment after many years and although under different ownership it was even better than we remembered.
Lovely flat in a great location with an amazing view over the harbour and beyond.
Very conveniently placed for all of the East Neuk with a bus stop at the door and a lovely seaview as a bonus. Quality furnishings and extremely clean accommodation. Would definitely return.
We came for graduation and thoroughly enjoyed Anstruther and the flat. The flat was beautiful, roomy and very clean, and perfectly appointed for our stay. We would love to spend more time in the town, it has a long (ten centuries) interesting history and stunning sunsets and sunrises.
My husband and I enjoyed 5 perfect days in this delightful harbour-side flat. Although winds were blustering outside, we were cosy in this beautifully appointed, spacious apartment. The view of Anstruther Harbour and the Firth of Forth is lovely. This is our third stay and we have never been disappointed. We hated to leave, and hope to return soon.
We stayed three nights in July. The is in the ideal location within very easy walking distance of all the shops, pubs, and restaurants.
When we opened the door I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of space we had. There are two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. The flat was well equipped in every way. The view over the marina and water is awesome.
The street below is quite active during the day but settles down at bed time so we got plenty of sound sleep.
I am very happy we chose this place to stay during our trip to see the Thursday first round of the 2018 British Open in Carnoustie.
Spacious, comfortable flat, great for our family of four.
We enjoyed our 5 nights at picturesque village. The restaurants were close and great food. Convenient bake shop downstairs as well. Sheena was easy to work with and very responsive. My husband said the master bedroomâs bed was the most comfortable he slept in for the whole trip! We were in UK for a month and stayed over 10 places on our road trip so that says a lot. Parking was easy for street stalls as well. Always found a spot close by. We had a great time and husband got on old course as a walk on last minute at St. Andrews which is close. Hint....get there really early. Opens 6am.
Nice sized flat in a peaceful seaside village with bus transportation very close. Relaxing.
We were so happy we chose this flat in Anstruther. It was peaceful and the town folk were very friendly. It is overlooking the harbor with a bus stop in front of the building for super easy access to St. Andrews. Sheena responded quickly and gave detailed instructions for parking and locating and entering the flat. She provided information for the operation of the flat and another for interesting things to do in the area, both of which were much appreciated. There are several tasty restaurants within a couple blocks walking distance. There is a butcher, baker, tea shop, coffee shop (serves up great coffee and breakfast) almost next door. This was a super place for some down time from a busy tour and we all wish we had booked several more days there.
Couldn't have been happier with the property, the view, the town... very peaceful place to be in between rounds up at St. Andrews. We stayed many places, this one was my favorite!
The flat was great- bright, spacious and stylish- with very comfy beds (something often overlooked in rented properties) and everything thoughtfully provided. The photos donât really do it justice. Anstruther and East Neuk is a lovely part of the world which was unfortunately hit by freak arctic wind and sleet during our stay which limited our outdoor activities. No point complaining about the weather though !
We have stayed in Sheena's flat several times and always enjoy our time there. For a winter visit it was beautifully clean and warm when we arrived, and appreciate the recent improvements - the new floor is attractive. For 2 couples it lacks a toilet independant from the bathroom. The view over the sea and harbour is the best feature and will bring me back again.
Clean, bright, super view. Lots of cafes etc to eat. Great to wander around the harbour for a little nose.
Had a great little swim out of the bay to the end of the harbour.
Overall excellent.
we enjoyed our stay in Anstruther, the wee chippie is next door:-) perfect for exploring the east neuk and the flat was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including a sea view.
I was most impressed with the locality and the view, the bus stop right outside the door .
As I have a niece in Pittenweem and another has a caravan in silverdyke it was an ideal location for myself,my daughter and granddaughters to meet up for a wee family get together. The flat was more spacious than I thought and we had everything we needed. I did notice though there was no hairdryer but fortunately I has taken my own. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and it even has the famous chippie on the doorstep!!

My husband and I live in Florida but I am from Scotland. We both love Scotland and purchased the flat so that we could have a place of our own when we visit family. We intend to spend a lot of time there after retirement.
We chose Anstruther because it is a very popular holiday destination that is not too far from my family. The area is very charming and beautiful and offers many amenities.
We really enjoy the coastal walk that connects the fishing villages and the top notch seafood restaurants and pubs in the area. We like being close to St. Andrews - my husband enjoys all the great golf courses within easy driving distance as well as the fun 9-hole course in Anstruther. Being close to St. Andrews and only an hour to Edinburgh is also a big plus. I also have to say the water and harbor views from the flat are wonderful.
