Forest Lodge Serenity sur Long Lake-Traverse City

Séjournez dans cet incroyable lodge "Up North" situé au bord d'un lac, sur une route bordée d'arbres, à droite sur Long Lake, à Traverse City. Cet endroit est magnifique et privé sur ce lac de sports avec une zone de non-réveil en face de la maison. Maison de plain-pied, mais descend du pont pour se rendre à la cour et au lac. Fait face à l'ouest. 5 chambres et 3 salles de bain. 12 personnes.

1 reine dans la chambre principale avec son propre foyer, la deuxième chambre a 1 complète, la troisième chambre a 1 reine, la quatrième chambre a 2 lits superposés (4 jumeaux) et la cinquième chambre a un roi. Planchers de bois franc, foyer au bois, télévision par câble de base / DVD / WIFI. Grand téléviseur à écran plat dans le salon spacieux et ouvert. La deuxième salle de bain a une douche à l'italienne. Troisième salle de bain a baignoire pied griffe. Machine à laver et sèche-linge.

Un immense porche avec des chaises berçantes et des meubles en fer forgé sort du salon et offre une vue imprenable sur le lac. Profitez des pique-niques estivaux sur le pont ou sur le rivage. Beaucoup de place pour que les enfants courent et jouent. L'eau est peu profonde sur le rivage afin que vous n'ayez pas à vous soucier des plus petits. Foyer et grand gril à gaz.

10 minutes du centre-ville de Traverse City ou de l'Académie des arts Interlochen. Seulement environ 30 minutes des Dunes de l'Ours Endormi. Les couchers de soleil sont spectaculaires et se terminent parfaitement en une journée parfaite. Les vacances d'été ne font pas mieux que ça!

Climatisation centrale. Les draps sont fournis. Les chiens sont les bienvenus.
Seulement 35 miles à Crystal Mountain pour les plaisirs d'hiver.

Ceci est une location de samedi à samedi pour les meilleures semaines d'été. Courts séjours disponibles hors pointe. Les week-ends du Memorial Day et de la fête du Travail exigent trois nuits.

Traverse City Long Lake Friends Trip

Very nice location and very roomy common areas. We loved the living room and dining room set up. Great porch wrapping around part of the house and facing the lake. For swimming in warm weather, great beach, shallow sandy lake front the extends out quite a ways. The house was very well equipped with kitchen and other items.

Very nice stay

Beautiful property! Very spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the lake (frozen over) and we could walk a short distance to Timbers recreation area to go cross country skiing. There was plenty of snow but the roads and driveway were plowed well.

Bayshore weekend stay

Beautiful property on a gorgeous lake. We had more than enough space for our party of 10. The only complaint would be the location of the bathrooms. All the bedrooms were a distance from the 2 bathrooms that were situated directly across from each other. Nothing that can be changed about that so just an FYI. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.

Awesome Weekend

What a fantastic property! The pictures do not do this property justice. The home is absolutely beautiful. Great location. Easy ride into Traverse City to enjoy the day or an evening. Sleeping Bear Dunes is an easy trip. Highly recommended!

It was quiet, colorful, and the location was perfect relative to Traverse city and the wineries. The home is historic yet with all modern conveniences. We recommend it for out of season visits.

Back porch gives you a great view of the property and overlooking the lake. The lake is always calm even on windy days which is nice compared to Traverse Bay when you have small children. Would highly recommend.

House overall clean except a few minor things. Beds could use new mattresses. The property fit our needs too bad it wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the outdoor porches more.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Huge historic home on beautiful Long Lake couldn’t have been any more charming. The walk down to the lake was a little longer than we would have liked but overall it was a fantastic vacation place.We had plenty of room to live for a week with the spacious great room .The dining room table switched conveniently from a place to eat into a family gathering for evening games and cards.The large wrap around porch provided another area of outdoor gathering for morning coffee to plan the day’s activities. We would consider rebooking in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this house! The Lodge was perfect for our family getaway with our older kids. House had everything we needed in a beautiful forest setting not far from Traverse City. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and space. We would love to return next year. My only suggestion would be that the driveway be plowed. Our 4Runner had no trouble getting up the driveway but our kids parked at the bottom having vehicles without 4 wheel drive. It had snowed the night before our arrival and was a little slick.

Location Beachfront

We have stayed at this property twice in the past 8 years, we love the location and we love Long Lake. The house is set up perfectly for multiply families to stay comfortable. The home boost a beautiful wrap around deck and a fantastic beachfront with a boat dock. Absolutely gorgeous views. Unfortunately, this visit we had an issue with mice and the overall cleanness of the home. Also, the home is in need of new mattresses. When you go on vacation you want to have a good night sleep. We did bring our concerns to the attention of the property managers. Hopefully in the future the concerns will be addressed because our family would love to visit again.

We walked into a house full of cobwebs and dust everywhere. Dishes in the cabinets that had dried food on them. There was mold in the coffee maker. We found ants and some kind of droppings that kept reappearing. Ant, mouse and termite traps within reach of the toddlers.. The boards on the boardwalk over the marsh leading to the lake were cracked and sagging and uneven. There is a row boat and canoe but no oars. There are some stone steps from the house towards the beach covered with sand, which made navigating them treacherous. One of us fell and bruised her arm badly. The beach area is small but nice and the lake is clear and huge. When we were on the water it was nice. First time I have ever had to give a bad review. Essa S.

Great location and lake access

The property is in a great location on Long Lake, only a short drive to all amenities and not far from downtown Traverse City. Everything in the listing is accurate, the home has a lot of "up north" charm and is quite old but well maintained. The only shortcoming of the listing is showing current pictures of the yard and beach. As you can see there is a boardwalk between the yard and the beach that goes over what appears to be a wet area, but in reality it is a large swamp. It was not an issue for us but it may be for others that are not able to easily walk over a swampy boardwalk. There were lots of frogs and birds around, we enjoyed it! Mosquitos were not any worse than what is expected in summer. The lakeshore breeze and fire pit was very enjoyable at night. There is also a public recreation area within walking distance, it used to be a girl scout's camp by Fern Lake. Just walk up the road past the driveway and enjoy miles of scenic trails! I don't think the listing made mention of this and it is a very nice benefit of the location.

2nd Lovely Stay at Serenity Forest Lodge

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family group of 6 adults (three generations) enjoyed our second summer vacationing at this historic, secluded, cool lakeside lodge. Numerous improvements had been made; we so appreciated the increased lighting, new washer/dryer, and how very clean the whole place was when we arrived. The new dock is sturdy and makes swimming much easier with the steps down into the water. The kitchen is well stocked, and we loved both casual lunches on the back patio, and gathering at the large dining table for dinner. Proximity to Traverse City shopping and attractions is terrific. We rented a kayak and used the canoe that comes with the rental too. Long Lake is clear and very swimmable, with buoys marking a loon preserve across the lake from the lodge. We heard loons every morning and night, and even saw a few. Guests should be warned that this is not a very accessible house; that's the down side. We brought 2 grandmothers, but couldn't bring the third because she can't do stairs. A few ramps here would go a long way.

We'd like to have lingered longer!

Reviewer Comments: Although we gathered our daughters from the West coast for their Gran's memorial, we also hoped to recapture some of the "Up North" feeling we were fortunate to have experienced during their childhood years in Michigan. This old family lodge was the right place for us to relax and listen to the music of the spring peepers, gray tree frogs, wood ducks and common loons. We watched a beaver and deer crossing the pond, and saw the fiddlehead ferns arise in the woods. The beds were comfortable, and the nights dark and peaceful. The great room and deck gave us plenty of space to play games, watch birds, or just read a book. We enjoyed returning to Port Oneida beach in Leelanau county, where my parent's cottage had been, and re-visited the Mission Point Lighthouse and the Old Mission General Store. We explored some of the Long Lake Township Parks, viewing wildflowers in Timbers Recreation Area. My family would love to stay at Forest Serenity Lodge again. (Our only functional comments are: please re-label the parking area light switch in the kitchen. We were disappointed to find the propane grill tank empty, but did not go hungry.) Also worth noting- we found that we could drop off our recycling in front of County Health Department Building at 2600 Lafranier. (Why feed it to the earth?) Thanks again for a peaceful stay!

Lake vacation 2023

This home is large and adequately equipped. Excellent new dock and nice beach with direct access. Great location. Mattresses are badly worn and back room Queen is awful. Wraparound porch was nice w swing. Excellent lake for water skiers.
