This Cute and cozy cabin has been recently remodeled to afford the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay on a 400 acre forestry and conservation family owned farm. We have horses, a forest with trails and natural pools, all this located within walking distance to town and its markets. The beauty of the property is its trails and the highest hill in the area with a spectacular view of the entire valley. Guests are welcome to explore the premises and enjoy another of our properties the Hacienda tijax Hotel and Marina at the end of the road on the waterfront.
We had a really nice stay! Very kind hosts, good communication and a cute house on the farm. Clean facilities and free use of the pool and restaurant of the hotel nearby was a nice bonus.
AMAZING.
Perfectly clean, well equiped and so so cozy.
The views from the many many screened windows are wonderful.
The peace you feel here is lovely. I worked remotely most of my stay, wifi never failed and was fast.
Short lovely walk to the main hotel/restaurant (Tijax).
Hosts were so lovely and easy to communicate with in English and Spanish.
I loved my morning coffee watching horses play from the deck and hummingbirds feed from the beautiful garden.
I just loved it and will absolutely be back. 10/10
Our host went out of his way to pick us up at the bus stop and took us to the house. Gave us a short briefing. We looked around, my wife really liked the house and the area âŠas while we were walking distance to the town we were deep in the forest. The area is full of song birds. The property has a security guard and a large gate that is kept locked at night. Itâs about 15 min walk to the main part of town but itâs an easy walk. A wonderful outdoors restaurant is less than 10 min away that serves good food at reasonable prices. Both my wife and I highly recommend the little yellow house as our 4 day stay was delightful.
I was disappointed. The house in my opinion is not well maintened. The walls need a fresh paint, the floor looks unclean and old. The bathroom door won't shut. One electricity outlet woulnt work and I couldntvplace the fan there. The bathroom was dirty and someone's soap and floss were left in the shelf. There were no soap or shampoo. The towels were so stiff it was hard to use them.I feel the for the price I paid which was the highest in Guatemala - it wasnt worth it.
