5 Bdr Cabin Game room Pool Table Large Deck Grill Fireplace Fire Pit
Eastwood is a 5 bedroom mountaintop cabin with a large game room with 8' pool table. It is located in Lake Harmony Estates on the crest of the mountain. It is a favorite vacation destination for our family owing to it's true 4 season vacation qualities.
The house prominently features a large deck covered with a good amount of natural shade from the house making it my favorite place to eat breakfast and watch the various wildlife go about their day. We keep a BBQ grill with a stainless steel prep table on the deck. Propane for the BBQ and the fire table is provided. There is a stone fire pit in the back yard. The house is also part of Lake Harmony Estates so our family and our guests are entitled to use our 12 passes to the beach, the picnic area and the parking facilities lakeside at the base of Wood Street and the tennis court. The beach is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Eastwood is in walking distance (300 yards) of the beach facility and tennis court (200 yards).
Key among the features of the house is our livingroom fireplace, backyard fire pit. Whether you like to relax on the couch in front of a cozy fire, huddle around a fire pit making Smores or relax on the deck with cocktails. We have all scenarios covered. My favorite is the Smores as I am kid at heart. The house is located in Lake Harmony Estates. Rental includes 12 beach passes. The lake is great for canoes, kayaks and tubes and there are 2 businesses where you can rent boats and other water sports gear.
In the gameroom we have a 65" smart TV with a subscription to YouTube TV. You Tube TV is a terrific internet streaming service that provides local channels, cable channels, free streaming channels and paid streaming channels. We have an 8' Ohlhausen pool table with all the accessories and a combination poker/game/puzzle table with 8 chairs. One of my favorite possessions in the basement is a live edge bar and table made by my son-in-law Stephen. It is natural wood with beautiful red, yellow and brown veins running through it. It is made out of "flaming box elder" that is a tree species native to the Poconos.
Location was very good. Spent a lot of time on deck. We took advantage of fire pit. Mattresses were not very comfortable. Grill was not working. We had a good time there.
8 Family members out for a golf weekend in the Poconos. The place was centrally located and was perfect for our group. The basement with TV, pool table, and poker table was the perfect place to unwind from the day of golfing. Huge front porch to relax with a beverage. Our only regret was we did not stay long enough to enjoy the lake or the town. Will be coming back with the family for a longer stay.
Overall very happy with everything but the only one issue was the bed mattresses were uncomfortable, I guess they were old but other than that we would come again.
This home has lots to offer! Our family enjoyed gatherings on the large deck and we watched the deer wander through the yard. The beach was accessible. We played family games at the large table. Highly recommend!
This property was exactly as we anticipated. It was very clean with a well stocked kitchen with all equipment we needed. The kids enjoyed playing in the basement family room while the adults had the opportunity to chat upstairs.
What a great place to gather! Welcoming from the moment I opened the door. The place was spotless and so appealing. We enjoyed good conversation by the fire pit and the bbq for lunch the next day. We even had movie night in the basement! Great setup! The property manager was always available for any questions. Glad we picked this spot.
The house is nice and his a lot to offer. Its proximity to skiing at Jack Frost was the main reason for my group staying here. We discovered a nice game room for relaxing after a long day on the slopes with either a game of pool or making use of the card table. I was unaware when booking that the linens (bed sheets, towels, hand towels) were an extra charge, but if you have those things, just bring them with you and it is not a big issue. We will be back to ski next season!
My name is Robert Wardlow. I run a small computer services company helping small businesses use technology. My son Russ and I manage the property. When I was a kid my family had a cottage in Blakeslee and I loved our summer visits to this area. When Russ began talking to me about vacation homes I immediately thought about this area of the Pocono mountains.
I love the long U shaped driveway with a natural area in the middle. Most of the property is left in it's natural state but there is a small lawn in the backyard with our fire pit. I love having meals on the deck and just relaxing. The area surrounding us is in a natural state giving us a lot more interaction with wildlife. Adding to the natural state of the area, our house has a large apple tree on it. Beginning in the late summer and extending through fall this tree provides an apple buffet for the animals. Everyday like clockwork the animals large and small come to check for apples on the ground. Fair warning, don't park under the apple tree in late fall to keep the apples from falling on your car! While it gets very warm at the beach in the summer for swimming and boating, up at the house it is always very pleasant on the deck.
