Stay in this welcoming apartment and live like a true local in Providence. We're within driving distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes. Our rental is a 2nd floor unit and it comes with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room that you're free to use any time. AC, Wi-Fi, Netflix & YouTubeTVâwe've got everything you need. Air bed available upon request.
The place was clean and the ac was great! Beds were very comfortable. We did unplug all the air fresheners. They were over powering. Kitchen was kinda sparse, but plentiful K-cups for the coffee maker. I appreciated the water and soft drinks. My one and only complaint were the stairs getting into the unit. No handrail and they were treacherous. Also more stairs getting to the unit, but they werenât as bad. Very quiet building and area. As comfortable as the unit was I wouldnât stay here again because of the stairs. We are in our 60âs and it was tough. Really should be highlighted in the listing so people can make their own decision.
The property was as beautiful & clean as it looks. It was central for the wedding we attended & the hotels where our families stayed. Grateful for host's attentiveness when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We really enjoyed our stay!!
This 2 bedroom space seems to have been recently updated and we found it very comfortable! It has huge TVs in every room with a large eat-in kitchen. I didnât realize that it was on the second floor which was difficult for my husband, who uses a cane, to get up and down the stairs. If I had known, I probably would have chosen another place for our visit simply to make it more convenient for his needs. But the apartment was very nice and Iâd be very happy to rent this place again under different circumstances.
Highly recommend!
Not suitable for people with mobility issues! The stairs inside and out, are very steep snd narrow. The entrance of the building doesn't look inviting... but the apartment is like you see in the pictures. Spacious and overall clean, it suited us. Beds were comfortable, kitchen is functional and coffee pods are included. Walk to Walmart or the new slouvakie restaurant - excellent food. The place is a bit noisy at night given you have neighbors above and below and it's an old building. Most windows didn't open because of the a/c units and with a/c on, it's too loud to chat or watch tv in the living room. Could use less room freshener as the scent is really strong. Overall, good for the price.
We stayed while we moved our daughter into Brown. The location is very clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed. There is parking off the street which is amazing. I would stay again.
But, things to highlight for those considering -
*The stairs - they are not even and are steep and narrow. It was a challenge to get our luggage up into the apartment. We were able to manage, but I don't think that if my parents (65+) were here on their own they wouldn't be able to get into the apartment without unpacking suitcases.
*The air fresheners. There at least 4 whole house air fresheners in this small apartment. My daughter and I both had headaches from the overpowering fake floral smell. It was an easy fix, we just unplugged and set them outside during our stay and replaced when we left. We did not notice any bad odors without them.
Upon entering for the first time, I wasnât sure how to use the lock on the door. No instructions were given. Then once I entered the building, I had no idea where the apartment was. I ended up climbing three sets steep stairs to locate the apt. Description does not talk about the very steep stairs outside the building, or the three sets of steep stairs, going up to the apartment. As a woman alone, I had a very difficult time carrying my suitcase up all of those stairs. The neighborhood seemed quiet, but the building itself was very sketchy. Immediately upon walking in, it was dirty, it smelled, and it was in very bad condition. Once I let myself into the apartment upstairs, the apt itself was beautiful. My only issue inside the apt was the bathroom. First of all, there is no window covering on the window that is over the shower. I could see outside there was a window directly adjacent to the apt. I had to use scotch tape and a brown paper bag to cover the window for my privacy. Next, I had no hot water in the shower upon my arrival or the next day. But once I messaged the host, it was fixed before I returned later that evening. And last, the floor in the shower is extremely slick. The first time I stepped in, I almost fell. I had to put a towel on the floor of the shower while I was showering for the entire week, so I would not fall down. Overall, my stay was good, and I would most likely stay again, providing the bathroom issues were addressed. Beds are very comfortable.
I forgot to do this when I got home from my trip. It was myself, my girlfriend and mother who stayed here for a few days to attend Rhode Island Comic Con. The house is only a 10 mintue drive from the convention center. It's a very nice and cozy place, with big beautiful couches, one reclines, and a GIANT beautiful tv in the living room. The other rooms were also nice with dressers and closets. There wasn't much to complain about really. The front steps are kind of steep, then short so you definitely need to, um, watch your step. Once we entered, we were overpowered with glade plug ins, but no big deal. Just pull them out. Both bedrooms had air conditioners, as well as the living room which was great because it was kind of warm that weekend. We even had to lower the thermostat. The only other issue we had was the kitchen had the bare minimum as far as pots and pans, kitchen gadets, etc. We planned on cooking a bit, but it was not a big deal. Walmart is right down the block. There was a very nice k-cup selection which was much appreciated.
Communication with the property owner was no issue at all. He resplies almost immediately, and is very informative. Thank you very much for everything! I look forward to coming back!
This residence was nice, but the air-conditioning was noisy. The front steps were a challenge for us as we are in our mid-70s and there was an incomplete railing.
