Birding Paradise

Loved our stay. We had a Barred Owl visit us every day. Fantastic multilevel deck. Well maintained and stocked. Easy access to great trails. Great kitchen space and tools.

Perfect location to enjoy a Wintergreen has to offer

This was our first visit to Wintergreen, and we were simply delighted by the beauty of the woods and the peaceful nature of our surroundings. The home was very comfortable for four adults, and one dog. Plenty of bed linens and towels, and a very well stocked kitchen! We will definitely be back one day!

Wonderful getaway from Florida heat. Beautiful, charming home in beautiful surroundings. And, without a doubt, the most responsive host yet in our experience. Pretty place

Beautiful property, pretty home. Host was responsive to the questions we had while staying. Bring matches or a lighter for starting your fire. Also, be aware that there are multiple security cameras visible on the exterior that were not disclosed in the ad. When I inquired about interior cameras the host said there are none.

Great Summer Spot in the Mountains

We wanted a place that made access to hiking in the George Washington National Park easy. I was surprised that we could connect with the AT and other great hikes right from the neighborhood. It was also a short drive to some other hikes. House was clean, the kitchen was well-appointed. My wife now wants two dishwashers in our home. I would rent the place again.

very nice stay

excellent property, very clean and the photos are a great representation of the space. comfortable space for a 6person group of mainly adults. great proximity to Wintergreen for skiing. property manager very responsive. our only issue-neither of the upstairs showers had hot water. we all used the downstairs shower instead and notified the property manager. They request you keep your snow gear outside the property but unfortunately there is no shed or locker or rack to leave it outside. would book again

Wine weekend

Just a few comments, the water pressure was not good, the lighting in the house could be improved by adding new bulbs and missing bulbs. There were ants in the kitchen which we realize was due to the change in weather but there was no bug spray. The house was a great spot for 4 people especially the outdoor fireplace, we spent every night out there. The property was very guest friendly with lots of amenities.

Wintergreen Resort

We had a great time at this resort and VRBO! The house gave us plenty of room to hang out and not be in each other’s way! The porch was awesome and so cozy! The house was a little loud considering it has an open loft and noise travels. The bedroom floor above the master is a little loud, and you know when the big kids are awake! The pitter-patter of big adult-kid feet! Lol! Rugs could probs help a little. But seriously, overall, this VRBO was great and perfect for all 6 adults!

Holiday Ski

The house is nice and location is good. Upon arrival there were a few things we had to reach out to coordinate - a bedroom had been locked and we couldn't get the main TV on. We were able to eventually figure both out ourselves. The sleeper sofa had not been used in some time and needed to be cleaned/changed, so we had to call and request a cleaning crew to come take care of. The response was quick however I would have expected this to be a part of the routine cleaning each time. As someone else mentioned, the water pressure is not great (which is not unusual) however the water never got past being mildly warm, so the combination of only warm water and bad pressure was a bad shower experience, especially in particularly cold weather and after a full day of skiing! Additionally the heat plummeted overnight each night to 59/60 degrees even though we had it set at closer to 68. Communications with the property management was quick, and they did send out a maintenance person to take a look but it did not ultimately and unfortunately it did not resolve the issue, suffice to say we had an uncomfortable chill in our bones for the entire stay. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and blankets, sheets/towels provided. Overall, the house is very nice, however could use some additional servicing to ensure that the basic amenities are working as expected. It took time away from our vacation to manage which was disappointing.

There are TWO living areas so kids and adults can entertain separately if they’d like…The TV’s can stream Netflix, You TUBE, HULU etc. The main TV area also has a DVD player, board games, Karaoke machine and more! The upstairs TV area has the Pac Man machine as well as a Smart TV. The home is well suited for families with young children. We have a baby gate, pack n play, and a high chair on site. You can even bring your dog! Come relax in this amazing home and enjoy all that Wintergreen Resort and Nelson County have to offer!
