The Cabins of Kelly Mountain is a great space to kick back and unwind. Our cabin sits on the edge of Monongahela National Forest in the Allegheny Mountains. The cabin features 1 bedroom with king size bed, and 1 bathroom w/ sauna, a gas log fireplace, and kitchenette. We are only 30 min. from Canaan Valley, WV where you can spend a fabulous day skiing, 5 minutes from downtown Elkins, 5 min from the local swimming hole and surrounded constantly by the beauty of West Virginia mountains.
we enjoyed our stay,
We enjoyed the sauna and the location just wish we could have watched tv or turned on firepplace to keep warm it was really cold. The owners were nice when they called before our arrival.it was a beautiful location
We arrived and were able to find the key. When we entered the cabin it was nice and cool. We got settled in and was in the process of watching the news and other TV programming. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not working. We sent a text to Stacy and she said the Wi-Fi was not working and she had been in contact with Frontier and the problem had not been solved yet. So we were not able to watch TV or get on our computers. Other than that our weekend was very enjoyable. I don't know if it would be possible to get a little break on the rate we paid ,but it would be very nice to get one since we could not get Wi-Fi service as advertised. Thank you for your help in this matter.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, very comfortable. Great access to the National Parks! Small issue with remote for TV which was resolved by our 2nd night. Unfortunately, there is a quary or something similar on the road above the cabin and the truck traffic starts early, like 4:30 am ,jack brakes are lovely to wake up to.
This cabin was a good spot for a retreat in the mountains of West Virginia. Unfortunately the TVs didnât work (1 had no remote), the bed kept falling off of the bed frame, and the fireplace in the living area wasn't connected to gas/propane yet. So, with cold and rainy weather, it was truly a getaway! I enjoyed the sauna and time spent relaxing and reading. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable, but it would have been great to be able to add some heat by turning on the fireplace in the living room. We loved that dogs were allowed to come along!
Internet and gas fireplace did not work. This meant the tv did not work unless you watched a dvd. There was scheduled power outage that we were made aware however lasted for almost half a day. Overall the cabin was clean just frustrating to pay for amenities you could not use.
We stayed for the weekend in cabin 1, it's a beautiful cozy cabin where it is possible to cook and to relax thanks to the sauna inside the cabin. It's important to know that there is nothing in the neighborhood, so it is a place to relax (like we wanted) or to sleep while travelling somewhere else. The fireplace listed is a gas one (not working at the moment), the TV didn't have any signal (I don't think anybody cares anymore, in 2024). I didn't like too much the mattress, too soft, but it is personal. Communication is fast and check in and out are easy. We definitely enjoyed our little vacation.
First we didn't get any information on how to get into the cabin..when we finally did..the power went out.. so the cabin was hot..no internet or TV..ended up leaving early..so it was a disaster!
