This spectacular beachfront villa offers some of the most amazing views in Puerto Vallarta, including sweeping views of the bay and vivid sunsets. This beautiful 5,000 sq. foot (464 sq. meter) penthouse villa has 3 levels with 3 spacious bedrooms, 5 baths, plus a rooftop terrace with a private pool and bar. The open-air main living room/dining room area includes a heated Jacuzzi framed by hand-carved Cantera columns and arches. Other amenities include air-conditioned bedrooms, daily maid service and 24-hour security.

Vida Alta can be combined with Vida Sol to offer a total of 6 bedrooms or with Vida Sol and Vida Mar for a total of 10 bedrooms accommodating up to 24 guests.

This was our friend groups favorite stay in our 4 years of traveling together. The romantic setting in this beautiful villa gave us the perfect vacation with stunning views of the ocean and breath taking sounds of it as the waves were crashing continually on the gorgeous rocks. Whale watching was such a joy to see from our villas open windows, along with viewing them from our daily beach walks. Our staff so delightful with serving us daily in any way needed. From Itzel and Oscars consistency in directions for yummy cuisine and activities to do and Jerry's amazing beachside beverages and ever so charming assistance. Our maid service oh so sweet we couldn’t be more grateful for all of their accommodations. Thank you all for making our trip so memorable. Cheers!! 🩵

I took my wife for a getaway and was extremely please with the staff and villa. Julian and Eduardo are amazing and truly professional at their specialty. We can be picky and the service and food was world class. Thank you and we will be back!

Generational Family Vacation

Everything about this stay was fantastic. From booking to checking out the staff were excellent. Edwardo was our chef and Daniel read our server and they went over and beyond our expectations and made the whole vacation so relaxing. The housecleaning staff did and excellent job of making the place spotless the entire time. If I was going to make any suggestions to improve what was an amazing place it would be these two things. 1. While the main bedroom off the kitchen/ living room had a Beaufort, because of the shutters that did not seal off the room, mosquitoes were all in that room and bit the baby sleeping in there. There was a pack and play for him but no net to keep him covered. Either a screen or different window covering would help. 2. The hot tub and pool both started getting dirty and green a day before we left so they were not usable for the whole trip. Everything else was great and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Seriously, best vacation ever!

I don’t even know where to start, but I will reiterate that this was the best vacation ever. Mostly due to this unique, exquisite and rather fabulous villa and their staff. Spectacular views and spectacular rooms that were equipped with anything you might possibly need. The staff was there at our beck and call for every little thing we could possibly need. Julian and Eduardo were our houseman and chef. Our breakfast and dinners were amazing , they would create whatever we asked for and then some. They definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. Sara, our main contact, was equally at our beck and call and always got back with an immediate response for whatever question we might have!!! She was delightful and courteous and a wealth of knowledge! There was someone there at any time for anything we might possibly need. I have tried to rebook but it is getting full so if you desire the best vacation ever, this is where you need to stay!!!

Amazing property, miserable experience

Reserved here for a week for three adults. The management was very responsive and helpful both before our visit and during our stay. Alta Vida is as gorgeous as the pictures appear online. Access to the beach is easy, and the staff were super helpful with chairs and umbrellas. Not the best beach for swimming, but a gorgeous view. The property is close to Zona Romantica, but the streets make it a challenging walk -- pretty much have to Uber anywhere. (I wouldn't want to have a car here.) Our biggest issue was the private chef. We all got food poisoning on the second day of our visit, and spent the rest of our vacation miserable and recovering. There is zero doubt that this came from our second dinner with this chef. Alas, insult was added to injury when the chef insisted that we were just not able to handle the hot weather. Without him taking any responsibility, we could not trust his cooking for the rest of the trip. This was not the level of a private gourmet chef that we were anticipating. Unfortunately, we can't recommend and won't return.

Lovely villa with a fabulous staff!

This was our fourth time staying at Casa Tres Vidas but our first time at Vida Alta. We invited two other couples to join us as it is a 3 BR/3 BA (ensuite) villa with two additional 1/2 baths (one off the LR and one by the pool). The views from this top villa are spectacular and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. Common areas are open-air while the bedrooms are air conditioned. Eduardo is an amazing chef. He can make just about anything! Daniel is very sweet and was the perfect host by serving us cocktails (great margaritas or mojitos) with fresh guacamole and Mexican sauce with chips followed by a white tablecloth, sit-down dinner served as though we were in a restaurant. Together they worked as a team and made our stay tremendously enjoyable. All we did was settle up with them for the food & alcohol they bought each day for our dinner & breakfast (be sure & bring plenty of cash). It was so enjoyable not to have to shop, cook, or clean up! In addition, we had Petra, our housekeeper, who made beds, cleaned our bathrooms, and supplied clean towels each day. We hardly knew she was there as she slipped in and out without getting in the way. The location of the villa is also ideal as it is a short 15-minute walk via the beach or a 5-minute taxi ride to Old Town. Treat yourself and your family or friends. You won't regret it. And, before you leave, tip the staff generously in the envelopes provided as they all work very hard to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. They are truly fabulous!!

Perfect getaway

The casa was very clean & the oceanview was amazing. The staff was friendly & always there to assist. If you are looking for an activity..ask roberto, lopita or Ramiro, they know everyone. If you want to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal ask Pablo, the food was amazing. We are definitely going to come back- dream vacation

Margaret, an army brat that has lived all over the world, first fell in love with Vallarta during her honeymoon in the mid 80s. After selling a thriving small café in Salt Lake City, she quickly became bored. Her dreams always brought her back to Vallarta, the place that she fell in love with the minute she arrived.
Jon was a friend of Margaret’s from Salt Lake City where he owned a successful travel agency - the Travel Zone. Ever since a spring break trip to Mexico in high school, Jon’s goal was to one day move there. Jon’s extensive background in hospitality as the Director of Coca-Cola’s Global Hospitality program for the 2002 Olympic Games and many other projects for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, was the perfect training ground as part owner of a pair of hotels.
Together, in 1997, they rescued a diamond in the rough on the perfect beach in Vallarta and Quinta Maria Cortez became a reality after months of renovations and improvements. Just three years later, the neighboring property became available, and Casa Tres Vidas joined the enclave that makes up Villas in Vallarta.
