Gringo-Gulch (Old Town/The Romantic Zone). Peaceful and centrally located, this newly constructed condominium (one of three) has breath-taking views! This is the place to stay, if you want to enjoy the exclusive part of old town, by Elizabeth Taylorâs previous residence (Casa Kimberly). The Old Town amenities are at your disposal with everything easily accessible by foot including restaurants, bars, markets, beach, the Malecon and even the churro guy!
Please note that the condo does have quite a few stairs up to the unit and may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Finding the property was tricky but that was probably on our part. Mgmt gave accurate directions. The condo was perfect and well equipped with water. Pool was a great place to hang after a day of shopping. The neighborhood was quiet mostly but bring earplugs just in case because a local bar across the river may have a surprise band at 1230 at night.
This property is just like brand new. Overlooks the river and the Romantic Zone. Located within walking distance to everything (food, store, shopping, Malecon, etc). Host was super responsive to all questions and provided excellent referrals. Pure water provided in the room. Upstairs pool and barbeque area is a great for lounging and viewing. We will definitely be going back. Completely avoided the timeshare hassle.
Our 3 bedroom modern unit was very clean and comfortable. The beds are on the firm side which I happen to like. The kitchen is well-equipped. The full-size washer and dryer are rare in this area. Best of all was the rooftop patio with lounging area and a very clean, well-maintained pool. There is a fridge and BBQ as well. It was so nice to chill up there after exploring the area. Loved it!!
The property is almost brand new. The 3 bedrooms were spacious as was the common spaces. There were plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils. We appreciated them as we always had breakfast in the condo and several dinners. The king-sized beds were comfortable and their were plenty of towels. The pool and outdoor area was just up 1 flight of stairs and had both a charcoal and gas grills. A spacious countertop and table. The condo is in Gringo Gulch so there were quite a few stairs as mentioned. On days we spent roaming, it was nice to have a cab bring us back - for jsut about 4 US. A deal!
Great view overlooking the cuale. Quiet. If taking a cab. We would mention next to Casa de Kimberly and they knew right where to go. The roof top pool was amazing and great for our kids. Automatic shades inside kept the June heat out. Well stocked kitchen including coffee. After returning from a long day out. We would turn the AC on and the place would cool down really quickly. Enough great things cannot be said about Noah. The grounds keeper. Such a huge help. If you have limited mobility. The stairs may be tough, but I am a large guy and not in great shape. By the end of the trip. I was zipping up them in June's heat. If we ever need a 3 bedroom condo. We will be back.
Wade and Christine are excellent hosts. They responded promptly to our questions and quickly addressed a few minor issues over the course of our four-week stay. The condo is very spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The building has only three units, so we almost felt like the rooftop pool and kitchen were a private amenity for our group. Noah, the maintenance man, is ever-present and keeps everything in good shape. Nice views from the balcony, from the mountains to the bay, including glimpses of the evening fireworks. Only a few minute walk to the Romantic Zone. If you are familiar with Puerto Vallarta, you know that many neighborhoods are hilly, and Gringo Gulch is no exception. We have stayed in other hilly areas of PV where a cab could drop us off at the buildingâs entrance. Thatâs not the case here. Our group ranged in age from 55-75 years old, and we all managed the uphill walk to the building, but itâs not for the physically-challenged. (Since we booked our stay, the listing has been updated to warn those with walking difficulties.) We truly enjoyed our stay, and Wade and Christineâs great hospitality. They really care about their guests!
I stayed here with family and we all really enjoyed the place. Rooftop deck with pool was wonderful and has a great view. Hosts are communicative and very nice. There are a lot of steps leading up to the unit, but we didnât mind that.
This property gave us exactly what we were looking for with location and amenities. The view and rooftop patio/pool had amazing views day and night. You should know that like most places in Puerto Vallarta you will have several steps to access this unit.
