A dreamy oceanfront escape awaits when you chose this gorgeous home as your launchpad for your next beach vacation. You will be located right in front of the beach! Spanning three floors, this spacious getaway features amazing ocean and beach views from the wraparound deck, unbeatable water access, and plenty of room to both relax and entertain. The open living space offers a huge sectional with a smart TV for movie nights, while the sparkling kitchen has all you need to create your favorite recipes. Dine together at the ocean-view table or kitchen bar.

Another living area presents a foosball table, a refrigerator, and a second spot to watch a movie. A sitting area is great for reading a book, while an in-home elevator and outdoor shower provide even more convenience. When you want to venture out, you are just across the street from Jockey’s Ridge State Park and a quick drive from shops and restaurants.

The fireplace is not available for guest use.
Please note that the elevator goes from the carport to the second and third levels and access points are through the bedrooms.
There are seven smart TVs (every bedroom has one) where the guests can make use of streaming services as long as they use their own accounts.

Great Oceanfront View

Had a great time. Beautiful weather. House is in a perfect location. Elevator was a must for our family and worked perfectly. Beds are very comfortable.

Stunning View

The house boasts a spectacular view; however, the owners of this property need to reinvest some money into the house. Two of the four burners on the stove do not work. People have been complaining since 2022 about this. A basic oven is not that expensive and is necessary for a family planning to do some meals at the house.The screen doors do not operate correctly and have holes in them. The door on the second floor master did not open. We had to use the door in the adjacent bedroom to access the deck. The place was not that clean (specifically the floors). Several of the beds did not have bedspreads (not expensive) a couple bed skirts were ripped. The outdoor furniture on ground level was not usable due to it being moldy. The location was very convenient, the elevator was helpful to us since a couple of us cant do the stairs. I hope these issues get addressed since we also booked this property prior to this recent visit.

Amazing beachfront location

Quick access to the beach, elevator that helped bring up our older dog, and all of our luggage. It truly made a big difference and was very convenient.

Beautiful view

Our September stay was wonderful. The home provides a beautiful view of the ocean. The home has comfortable beds & plenty of kitchen items for use. There are some repairs needed due to wear & tear...blinds broken or pieces missing, towel rods leaning...

The View

The house felt like a home away from home but the view stole the show. The elevator made getting our belongings in and out a breeze. This home was conveniently located within a short drive to other OBX cities and things to do including the Wright Brothers Museum. We would stay at this home again.

OBX Jeep Invasion ‘23

Property was really great for all nine of us Jeepers. The bottom game room was ideal for storing our doors, so we could enjoy the sun. We loved the openness and the morning sunrises were spectacular from the top deck. We didn’t want our 3-night stay to come to a close.

Rhinelander Zimmerman house

The house was absolutely beautiful. The view was the best we have ever had. The beds were beyond comfortable, the pillows were perfect. The only thing that might be an opportunity is to update the stove, it’s pretty old and made cooking very hard. And I think providing better elevator usage instructions upfront. if you are relying on an elevator on day one, you should make people very aware of how to use the elevator . That said, we will be booking this home again next year and we were grateful for the attempts the local Vacasa people made after we were able to get in touch with them about the elevator

5 day stay for 8

Nice size house and accommodations were good. Very clean and location was perfect. We enjoyed our stay. Only 3 dishwasher soap cubes were left and we could have used 5. 1 dish towel and could have used 3 or more. Stove is old and not sure the burners were operating correctly, one was an uneven level. Dog friendly house and elevator was much appreciated. Over all a very good stay.

Great location, cleanliness was ‘ish

Loved the location… we had a dog, but so did the earlier guests, and you could tell. Sofa in living room had leftovers from those before us, as did their dishes and pots and pans. For an oceanfront home, you’d hope that a paint job might would have been professionally done. Disappointed in the house, but delighted with the location.

Pics Are Deceiving

When we arrived, there was a sliding door that was not locked! We notified them but they did nothing about it nor would they allow us to lock it. Although there was no one there, they refused us early check-in. The house has an animal odor and the floors were all filthy dirty - we all ended up with nasty socks every day. The stove top was dirty. Some of the windows had torn screens that looked as if someone attempted to break in. Most beds did not have a mattress pad, just a sheet over a mattress. You cannot see the beautiful view out of the windows because they are so dirty. The cheap countertop microwave blew up.,, which could have started a fire! We informed them immediately but they never brought a replacement microwave— 10 people with no microwave! This beautiful home needs updating and is not being maintained. Shame

Great views but comes at a cost

The ocean views can’t be beat and the house is in a great location. The cleanliness however was an issue. No less than 20 beer cans and other miscellaneous trash items were left under the house. Several bags of dog poop were left and not cleaned up. The inside was “surface” clean. The house desperately needed a deep cleaning. After reaching out and communicating with the team about the trash issue, no one ever followed up. It’s a shame as the house has great potential otherwise.

Vacation Nag's Head

Hello, We loved the location of the house, so close to the beach. However, when we arrived the A/C on the top floor - where kitchen and family room is located - was not working. it was 85 degrees on the top floor. I called Vrbo and they quickly sent a technician to the house. He could not fix the A/C but put in two window units as a temporary solution. It took 2 days before the issue was fixed. We also found the cleaning not very well done. There was sand all over the floors when we arrived, and it was obvious the floors had now been washed. The stove is old and when cooking the first time, we had large flames from under the frying pans. The pans under the electric heaters were extremely rusty and old. A set of new pans are definitely needed immediately, before a real fire starts. The kitchen was not very well equipped with cutlery etc. The screen door on the top floor out to the balcony fell off when we first opened the door. I understand that this is a vacation home, but not having any A/C upon arrival, is not acceptable, especially with the high price we paid. The WiFi is spotty at best - when we called about it we were told - it's the Outer Banks, this is how it is. Some days we could not even get the TV's to work. We have stayed at several places in the area before and have never had any wifi problems. Again, it is a great location and the house is big and roomy, but it definitely needs some upgrades. 2nd Stay and Disappointed

This was our second stay at Rylander and we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the home. We spent the first 2 hours cleaning all bathrooms and the kitchen. The house was very dirty. Dust and dirt on all ledges of all furniture. The couch had sand on it and under it. All the beds had sand in the sheets, bathroom hardware was falling off the walls, there was sand on the floors, and the downstairs shower (the best shower in the house) was a storage unit and very dirty. We cleaned it as well so we could shower all week. The non-stick kitchen skillets ALL need replaced and there were no bigger pans to cook in. Some of the TV remotes would not work and there were no spare batteries at the house. There was no crockpot this time which was a big disappointment. I did talk to the manager and she said they were having problems with the cleaning crew but I talked to others at Vacasa Rentals and heard the same issues. The home owners need to take more attention to their houses as well. Overall, not a great experience. The house location is great but that is all.

Beautiful views nice beach access

The house is actually quite nice. The views are amazing from the main/top floor! I loved waking up and drinking my coffee overlooking the ocean! Taking morning walks on the beach! House had TV’s in every room with Roku TV’s offering a variety of on demand and live local content. My only complaints about the house was that the original listing said there was a hot tub, but there is no hot tub, only a single person jacuzzi bathtub in one of the many bathrooms. Also the appliances are kind of old and some of the furniture is rather cheap. But overall, this was a really good week spent with family! I would suggest checking the propane tank the day before you need to use it to see if it needs to be replaced!! Would I go there again? Yes, I would… depending on how much it was…

5 star location and 5 coffee cups

If the review was based solely on location, views and beachfront access — this house would get 10 stars on 5-star scale. It can't get better — oceanfront with a beautiful dune deck. Because Jockey's Ridge is right behind the house, the beach doesn't get crazy crowded either. The view and location is why the review gets 3 stars. Inside the home we had some feedback… - 5 coffee cups, I joke you not, for a 5 bedroom home. Come on. - Home needs a PROPER full-size coffee pot. When you're sleeping 10 people in a house, a Kuerig does not cut it. - Didn't have enough utensils for our entire family to eat a meal together. - Major SAFETY issue with the top floor deck. It needs repair, loose planks, screws sticking out all over the place and when we had more than 4 people on it, we weren't concerned about it’s safety. It would shake and move when a normal size person would simply walk on it. We ended up opting to use the 1st-floor porch which was a major bummer. - The rooms that did actually have window blinds (they didn't all have them), none of them worked properly so be prepared to wake the second the sun comes up at 5:45am - The house clearly went through a recent interior "refresh" but it's a fast and cheap refresh. Lots of peeling paint, bathroom hardware falling off walls or not fully attached. Attention to detail real low. - Upstairs windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them. Such a shame when you're paying for the view. - The house was surface "clean" when we arrived but not deeply. Touching the cabinets to open them was gross with layers of dirt and grease on the tops of cabinets, piles of dust and gross stuff in corners, under furniture. - Beds were not comfy and in general everyone in the house had a sleeping complaint. - The code we were given did not work on the elevator which caused a headache but it was resolved after several phone calls. We’re lifelong, seasoned OBX renters. Bottom line, would we rent here again? Yes, but not at full in-season rates. The view and location are worth a stay but lots of updates inside house need to happen for the price.

Friends trip

Had a great trip with great friends… plenty of rooms and bathrooms.. house could stand some new kitchen utensils… had to buy a can opener while we were there because there wasn’t one. Also no broom to clean steps to sweep up before we left. Great view!!!

Beautiful Home

This home is beautiful. Ocean and beach views from all the big windows and just a quick walk across the private walkway to reach the beach. Lovely views and ocean breezes while hanging out on the large deck. The home was clean and well appointed. Great vacation spot!
