It was my pleasure to meet you. Alexandra cottage location is secluded with one of the best view on the island and all the amenities you need during your stay with us. We are happy you have enjoyed all of the above. We are working to earn your 5 stars and had the road filled and smooth out so it would be more enjoyable for a short walk to town a few days after you departed. Upon inspection, the main lock on the sliding door and the screen door leading to the deck appear to be functioning correctly. Additionally, the main entry door with the smartlock is operational and equipped with new batteries. The listing includes photos and a description of the stairs. We regret any lack of clarity in this information. Due to the recent heavy rainfall, I am concerned that the stairs may have become slippery from fallen leaves and palms. We will ensure that the landscaper visits multiple times a week to inspect and address this issue during periods of heavy rain.

We are so happy that you enjoyed the cottage and the amenities we offer; the views are just amazing. We recently purchased Alexandra Cottage and we strongly suggest to guests in our listings that they rent a vehicle when they stay at the property. Walking to town is a breeze for most people but coming back up Pocket Money Lane can be a challenge. Virtually all taxi drivers know exactly where our property is and are more than happy to bring people the half mile back up the hill. Our listing does not advertise a washer/dryer. However, we have ordered both for the cottage and hope to have it installed by the end of the year. There are two laundromats close to the cottage that can be used if needed during a guest stay. In terms of the trash, there is no trash removal on the island of St John. Luckily, there is a dumpster located at the bottom of Pocket Money Lane. Thank you for keeping our cottage so clean and tidy.

We disappointed that guests were unhappy with the property unlike others. We checked in with guests after 24 hours for their feedback but it seems that guests enjoyed their stay with no issues. We kindly suggest to all of our guests to have their AC turn off when departing the property but this is not mandatory if you feel the need to have the AC turn on 24/7. The sunset is facing the window in Fall and it naturally heating up the room for a couple of hours as we explained to guests when we met and escorted guests to the property from the ferry dock. But it will subsided as soon as the sun go down. This wouldn't be an issue if guests kept the AC on throughout the day and we would had advise guests to do so if we would had known of this was an issue. We represent our properties with realistic pictures, expectation and strong communication. Guests are unfit with disability is not recommended for this property as our picture shown the stairway to the property clearly and this property is not handicap accessible as stipulated in our listing details. Our past guests had enjoyed the privacy and location of the cottage without any problem with the stairs or the temperature. Again if guests were to communicate with us. We would have accommodated guests with one of our other properties will probably suit guests condition better. For the record on your feedback Alexandra cottage is not a condo. It's a cottage! There are no other structures attached to the property. It's standing on its own. We advise taking time in the future to read the description of the property and reach out to host before and after reservation to get to know the property before booking. We hope guests would plan their vacation in advance next time to stay at Lavendar Hill condominium on their return trip to the island. These are two totally difference properties. Alexandra cottage is known for its beautiful view of the Caribbean water and privacy because of its location and Lavender Hill is a condominium by the town cemetery and handicap accessible. Unfortunately, guests had a different experience and expectation this time. We regret guests were laccked of communication from beginning of their booking.
