This adventure to get away from it all features a spacious 3 bed 4 bathroom private residence with a 7 person Hot Tub, REAL woodstove, and king sized beds. At 11K ft, this hidden gem has easy ski access to Breck and Monarch and endless summer outdoor activities. Nestled in the heart of the Pike National Forest in the historic town of Fairplay, it's a perfect retreat to relax after a day in the mountains! This is our place of Zen and relaxation. Immerse yourself on the front or back deck and take in the gorgeous scene!

Enjoy being centrally located in the middle of the Rockies!! Less than 2 hours from the Royal Gorge, the great sand dunes, manitou springs and the garden of the Gods, the natural hot springs in cottonwood falls and countless hiking trails, fishing spots and other outdoor activities!! The possibilities are endless with this Spacious 3BR/4B cabin!! It comes with all the amenities of home; super fast internet through Star link, big flat screen TVs, and walk in closets! Full Gas grill for outdoor grilling.

The property sits on 2 acres of wooded forest. Tall trees and quiet, peaceful nature scenes can make this your home away from home! Rent it for a couple days, a full week, or even the entire month and you won’t regret it!!

Please note you *MUST* have a 4WD vehicle through the months of October-May, although recommended year round. The last couple of miles to get to Hideaway Haus are gravel roads during the summer and snow packed during the winter. You will need a vehicle and driver capable and confident to handle the unpaved roads.

This is a place of ZEN and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of life. Secluded from the rest of the world allows you to submerse in Nature. There are 4 different hiking trailheads in the neighborhood or within a mile or two of the cabin.

During the winter months, enjoy a nice long driveway that you can sled down. In the summertime, enjoy the many hiking trails, wildlife, and scenery. The home is truly a hidden Gem! book now before it's too late!

Tranquility in the Treetops

Our recent sojourn to the Hideway Haus was nothing short of sublime. Picture it: sweeping vistas of undulating pine-laden peaks, sunrises that seemed to be from a painting, and crisp mountain air whispering softly through the trees. The cabin itself was well appointed, tidy, and provided a relaxing environment for our weekend away. Every inquiry to the hosts was met with warmth and swiftness, every arrangement made effortlessly. In summation, if you’re seeking refuge from the chaos of daily life, this cabin is your is the place to stay. We left feeling restored, recharged, and ready to return to the real world.

Family Getaway

Our stay was great, the house feels like it has 3 master bedrooms with how spacious the rooms are. The cabin is located off a dirt road that is very secluded and we saw a few deer in the front yard.

Summer in the Rockies!

This place was exactly what we were hoping for. Clean, quiet and an easy drive to trailheads in the Hoosier Pass/Breckenridge area. When an issue arose (all minor) Mark and Kristi immediately responded to our queries. We would do it again.

The home was beautiful and the views were incredible. The house was stocked with everything needed to have a great week with family. Our boys loved the arcade games and I appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Great experience!

Awesome time, Great memories made!

I had an amazing time with friends, and this cabin made it amazing. Very beautiful view, and nice that it was near Fairplay and alma. Getting up and down the road got repetitive and took some time, but it wasn't a problem. Beds were great, bathrooms were nice and clean, and it was a very cozy and incredibly nice place. Everything was very straightforward with checking in and out, and the owners were such kind and easy to talk to people. Awesome place and will definitely consider it again!

Nice Cabin very rough access road

Nice well maintained beautiful cabin. ....... but the 5mi +- of dirt roads from Fairplay to the property are very rough and poorly maintained. We suggest access from the back side..... county road 1. it is not as bad as the Venture rd access..... that road is very bad. because of the poor access we would prob not go hear again.

View was beautiful, house was big, it was an amazing stay! loved the area, place had games and stuff to cook with tvs to watch movies or shows also had available sleds to sled down the drive way animal prints through the snow around the property it was peaceful and quiet property had everything we needed

This property was wonderful. The house was great and so well furnished with everything needed. Fly fishing was available close by as we had hoped. Can say enough about the owners they we so accommodating and communicate with them excellent. Definitely recommend this property.

If your looking for a nice quite picturesque location this is your place. Everything is nice and clean with great open floor plan. There is everything you need to cook full meals and just relax in the cool mountain air. The host are very responsive to any and all needs. We will definitely recommend to friends and family 5 stars all the way around.

A Great Place to Stay

We stayed here over thanksgiving with a couple of friends and we had a great time! The property was beautiful and clean and the communication with the owners was great. The views of the mountain from the living room and upstairs bedroom and loft were incredible and we had no complaints and would love to come back in the summer to do some nearby hikes. It is a bit of a dirt road for a few miles to get to the cabin but it's pretty well maintained and wasn't an issue for us. Overall we had a great time and plan to return in the future!

Takes your breath away

This property is one to experience, just so rejuvenating and peaceful. We wanted a place thats was remote with beautiful surroundings, and we was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Everything was as expected, and we had no issues during our stay. The hosts allowed us privacy, but was responsive to our needs as requested. As the hosts posted, "drink lots of water" the altitude at 11000 feet above sea level is real, however we adjusted somewhat within in 24 hours. Its all a part of the experience, and being in/near towns listed as the highest altitude in the USA. We will be returning!

Beautiful Cabin & Fantastic Hot Tub

The cabin and grounds were beautiful, and the hot tub was fantastic. We had some issues getting the heat and fireplace working but the hosts were very responsive and we had it up and running quickly. The satellite internet was great and only went out when it was snowing heavily one evening. It was back up the next morning when we woke up. We loved having the bottled water dispenser available for drinking since the cabin is on well water. We could never get either of the K-Cup brewers to work. Both of them just overflowed boiling water all over the countertop but never brewed. The jetted tub in the master would not come on which was a disappointment after filling the whole tub with water. We had a very difficult time sleeping as the beds seem old and in need of replacement. The springs were constantly digging in as we moved. There is also a very loud humming that can be heard and the vibration felt throughout the entire house. It was a complaint from all occupants on all floors after the first night. I personally slept on the lowest floor and it felt as if my brain was being microwaved. I had to move my head to the foot of the bed away from the wall in order to sleep. We came to the conclusion that it was the hot tub pump kicking on and off. Overall we had a great time but we wouldn’t stay again due to the humming/vibration issue.

Birthday Ski Trip

We stayed at the Valley of the Sun bed and breakfast with my kids and their spouses and had the best experience imaginable. The 3 story cabin is located just about 30 minutes from Breckenridge Ski Resort, and we went there every single day because it was so close. There are two decks the front deck isperfectly situated to enjoy the stunning Mountain Viewsand the deck on the back is perfect for a cookouts with a grill and picnic table and chairs. The kitchen had all we needed as we cooked every meal right there and took soup with us to the slopes. The place also comes with firewood for the two fireplaces, and two arcade games, which our boys played tournaments on. We played board games and even watched a movie. So you’ll have everything you need during your stay. The communication with Mark & Kristi was great! The WiFi is strong, we watched movies and scrolled our phones without any issues. The 3 bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and plenty of privacy. As well as each having their own sitting area. We especially loved the bottom floor room, which has a wood stove and private living room area. The cabin is located on a quiet and remote mountain neighborhood but you will need a 4wheel drive in the winter but it’s close enough to the local town with shops and restaurants in less than 15 minutes away. The only thing that could be improved is providing a map (Apple Maps and Waze struggled) but the drive is beautiful with lots of wildlife to see on the way. So we didn’t mind.

Great Weekend Away

Had a great time - even saw some wild life to and from the property. Be aware, you're driving on gravel roads to get up to the house. We didn't mind, and it gave us a chance to see a moose and a lot of deer. We really felt away from it all, while being really close to great trails and towns. I had one issue and the property manager was quick to respond and remedy any issues that came up. Great communication and location!
