We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 nights in this lovely property in heart of Bucerius. Home is very well equipped especially for 2 couples with the 2 separate master bedrooms & bathrooms. Has Mexican charm with all the North American amenities. Wonderful to have private pool & the property manager Silvia was great. Location is walkable to all restaurants & grocery store- definitely recommend and hope we have opportunity to stay again. Many thanks!
Clean, authentic , charming ,close(walking) distance to all amenities(restaurants, shops, beach, groceries, hospital, etc. )quiet & a nice laid back holiday spot.
Our second stay at Virginiaâs house. The location is great and the house is very roomy and comfortable. Spent a lot of time sitting out on the spacious patio.
Nice hacienda type property, the 2 separate bedrooms make is great setup for 2 couples or family. great towels were provided Love the privacy of the pool, tho not heated it was a refreshing dip! We wouldâve like having a bbq as well there was no TV⊠should have one even for streamingâŠit is on a hill and those that find walking difficult I wouldnât recommend
We love it and would tell our friends
We stayed in this house in 2017, and loved it so much we returned for 10 days over the 2024/2025 New Year. The house is beautiful and well appointed. It is perfect for 2 couples or, as in our case, 2 couples and 2 small children (who slept on an air mattress in their parents' room). Location is a a few blocks up the hill from the beach. However, except for those with mobility issues, the hill is more of a psychological barrier than a physical one. It's about a 7 minute walk downhill to the beach, and maybe a 10 minute walk uphill back home. And there's the cool plunge pool to jump into if you're hot from the walk up the hill.Highly recommended!
Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated with Mexican character, plenty of amenities. Owner and caretaker warm and accommodating. The only note is that while only 3 blocks from the beach and two blocks from Main Street, there's a steep cobblestone hill so bring good walking shoes. Our favorite restaurants were El Negra and La Lomita. Both are authentic Mexican and very close to the house. Perfect place to stay and well priced for what it offers.
What a gem this sweet home is! Nestled into the quaint town of Bucerias, Virginiaâs home made our stay feel like we really did get a real glimpse of Mexico! Well stocked kitchen and all items needed for an easy 5 min walk to beach. Close to grocery store and bus stops (we so appreciated the recommendations in the visitor bookâspent an afternoon in La Cruz). Owner and manager responsive and kind. Loved it so much we hope to be back soon! Thank-you!
Beautiful Mexican Spanish Style Home in a nice area.
My wife Karen and I as well as two friends stayed at this beautiful Mexican style home in Bucerias from March 1st through 15th, 2016. It is a wonderful home suited perfectly for two adult couples. Karen and I stayed in the upstairs master bedroom and it was wonderful, WiFi worked very well, the home, decorations, art work, all amenities were perfect, more than we expected.
The pool and garden was most appreciated by my wife, she spent most of her time in the pool or on the patio. The painted purple palms at the entrance and around the pool were beautiful, very calming and a nice touch.
We probably had dinner at the local restaurants more than we cooked at home but kitchen facilities were more then we needed. It was very nice to see how secure the property was, a gated entrance and very secure windows throughout.
All the staff members were very helpful and made it easy for us to enjoy our vacation. The property was clean and well maintained.
Thank you very much Victoria and Will for sharing your home with us!
The house is a home with very nice Mexican charm. The selected art work on the walls adds more color and fun to the rooms.
When first viewing the pool in the yard, one may think how tiny it is. When experiencing using the pool , it was inviting and enjoyable and was more than adequate. The pool is surrounded by tropical plants that are looked after by the grounds keeper that is very punctual on attending with his maintenance. There is also a lovely Palapa with table and comfortable chairs. With the tropical sun we lived under this structure.
If we return to Bucerias , we would rent here again.
We had such a wonderful time at this lovely property! It was comfortable, clean, and the perfect place for a vacation getaway. We will most definitely be returning!
This home is perfect for a family or two couples. We will definitely be back. It's located in the Bucerias golden zone, which is exactly where you want to stay in Bucerias.
We love the Bucerias beaches -- beautiful and sandy -- and this home is less than a five minute walk to the beach. It's also an easy walk to the town square, restaurants and the market.
The privacy is great, the home is very nice, and Bucerias is a great place to vacation. We have been in Bucerias before, and will definitely rent this property when we go back!
Very nice clean home. The reason there are so many cons is what makes this property nice vs exceptional. A few little tweaks and this property could be wellâŠ.exceptional.
Pros:
- Location was in a nice neighbourhood
- Very clean and well maintained home
- Easy walk to the beach, however the hill was killer coming back up for those with mobility issues
- Many restaurants and stores within walking distance, we really enjoyed the local fish market and groceries, much better priced than the chains
Cons:
- No safe
- No water upon arrival
- Pool was freezing cold
- No welcome binder with information on local taxis, the information provided on one of the many signs was invalid. No information of restaurants, grocery or anything available near property
- Beds were horrible, had to purchase memory foam to make them bearable
- Pillows, need more and the spares were stained so would not even use
- Internet needs upgraded package - this was a partial working vacation so it was very frustrating, especially given it is 2022
- No TV, we personally did not miss this too much but if you have no devices or children it could be an issue
- Smell coming from the laundry room was vile, made more than one of us gag
- Dishwasher did not work, didnât really want to do dishes for the duration of our 2 week stay
- More than 2 lounge chairs would be a bonus
We had a lovely stay here. The home was immaculate and the sheets and towels were fresh and new. That's important to me. I got the impression that this home has not had guests for some time. The property managers, Cindy and Robert, were new and were responsive and helpful. They had spent time checking out the air conditioning unit, which we did not use, however they didn't catch that the dishwasher was not working but when we told them they got someone in right away but parts were not available. The plunge pool was a really nice feature, but my favourite part of this home was the two showers. They were huge and beautiful.
The home is situated on a quiet street that is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and a grocery store. You are mostly surrounded by older, expats. The beach is clean and sandy and very walkable.
Exactly as described. Clean and well cared for home. Three blocks from the beach was perfect for us. Quiet street and walk to whatever you want. A great little hangout for expat Americans and Canadians.
This is the second time we have stayed in this home. The outdoors is stunning and the home has wonderful details. Itâs gotten a little tired and there are a few things in need of upgrade. I trust that post-Covid this will be done. The owner and property manager are caring and responsive.
This property is an absolute gem! With the two master suites and bathrooms, it worked perfectly for two couples. The house is filled with lovely artwork and so many thoughtful touches. The kitchen is well equipped for making at home meals, but there are also excellent restaurants within walking distance. The small garden and pool area is gorgeous.
MaryCarmen, the house manager, and her husband were very helpful and responsive to our needs.
Everything was perfect and staff and owner were great
Good location clearly well taking care of. Owner was very knowledgeable and accommodating

beautiful home, wonderful retreat
My husband and I, and my brother in law and sister in law have stayed at this wonderful house two years in a row now (January 2017 and 2018). It has everything that you need for a relaxing vacation. The bedrooms are VERY spacious, well furnished and comfortable. The two bathrooms are great, and so nice to have a separate bathroom for each couple. The kitchen is fully equipped, and has a dishwasher which is somewhat rare in Mexico. This is not your run of the mill house. The owner is an artist and her beautiful work is displayed throughout. The house has a Mexican flair with lovely tile work. It feels totally secure as it is behind a locked gate. The property is very private, we often had coffee out by the pool in our pjs.
Something that is not seen here in the pictures is the street that it is located on. I loved it! So quaint. For those with mobility issues it should be noted that there is a hill to go down to get to the beach. Having said that, taxis are cheap cheap cheap and always available. We would walk to town, and take a taxi back for 50 pesos.
For us this was just a great introduction to Mexico and the Bucerias area. My husband was always a bit nervous to travel to Mexico, and this property absolutely changed that.
Highly recommend it!
This is a beautiful house in a great location. Perfect for two couples with large bedrooms. Temps were in the 80s but never used the AC - just opened the windows in the evening. The great outdoor patio is very roomy with plenty of shade under the palapa. Used the pool every afternoon to cool down. Ideally located close to restaurants/beach and there is a new large store for groceries just 4 blocks away (Chedraui). Virginia was great to deal with.

In early 2005 we bought a bare lot on the beach side of Bucerias and spent the next 2 years building our dream vacation home. We did not build a typical spartan rental property but instead built for ourselves and later decided to rent it some each year to help pay the maintenance costs and upkeep. We still spend part of every winter there and are able to maintain the high quality.
Having traveled throughout Mexico since the late 1970s we knew that we wanted to be near the beach and near major airports, etc for easy access. We were lucky enough to find what has turned out to be the ideal property for us.
