Explore WyomingâChristmas gift to our adult kids
My husband and I treated our kids and their significant others to a Wyoming vacation. First stop was the Barndominum in Lingle. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by the spacious, beautiful accommodations and quickly settled in. After touring the property and greeting all the animals, we enjoyed an evening of games and socializing. A great way to relax and unwind after an 8-hour drive. Our kids kept asking how I found such an amazing place in the middle of ranch country. We would not hesitate to book again and will gladly share our experience with friends and family. Our stay exceeded our expectations!
Overall, the place was nice, but there were a couple things that keep me from giving 5 stars:
- Upon arriving, we noticed the garbage in the kitchen and in the bathrooms had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The kitchen garbage was completely full (and it's not a small trash can).
- There were dirty towels in the hamper in the upstairs bathroom. There were also only 4 clean towels left for us to use for showering and washing hands.
- Both bathrooms had no or little toilet paper still on the roll. We did find one last roll in the downstairs bathroom.
- There was food left in the fridge & freezer from previous guests which took up a LOT of space. We didn't have much to put in the fridge, but still had a hard time fitting what we had in the fridge.
- Lack of information (pamphlet, folder, etc.) about the place we were staying and about the animals. I think a notebook or something like a Newsletter providing information about the farm, local area, etc., would be very helpful. We LOVED Zena and would have kept her inside with us the whole time. It would be nice to know when/if she needed to be outside vs. inside.
Overall, it was a nice place with A LOT of potential. I think with some additions/improvements (info about the house/farm/location, better cleaning crew) this will be a wonderful area for families to visit (especially those with kids who love farm animals!).
We had a great time; loved the charm and rustic appeal of the Barnominium. The kids totally enjoyed all the friendly animals. It was a petting zoo right outside our front door. We will be back again sometime!
We were just passing through and needed a place to spend the night. The host was very nice and showed the farm animals to the kids. They had a blast. Thanks
