We've upgraded your comfort by replacing the sofa bed with a luxurious air mattress, conveniently stored in the bedroom closet.
Property is clean and easy access to street parking thanks to a visitor permit. Location is great and has a nice cafe a block away. You are only about a mile from the capitol area as well.
Our stay was wonderful the location is great for walking and near a few parks great for a small family stay you can hear the people above but it honestly didnât bother me the place was clean and had everything we needed!
I have stayed at other places in the area - this was the best one. Good location with a nice breakfast spot nearby, clean, spacious, high ceilings. I would definitely stay again.
Our 2 teens, my husband and I stayed 4 days in this apartment. It's very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do in Washington. There was everything we needed and the manager was very responsive if we needed anything. We would stay here again if we come back to Washington DC and I highly recommend this cute, comfortable apartment.
The neighborhood was very walkable. We were just a few short blocks from the metro, and there is a Capital Bike share dock right on the corner. It's very easy to get to, and it's so convenient that you don't need to bring a car. Just take the metro or bike anywhere you need!
The apartment was as advertised. Spacious, clean and plenty of supplies. The sofa bed was very comfortable for sleeping. The washer and dryer a plus since our stay was for a week. Convenient location for public transportation or close enough to have nice walk to Capital building. Felt safe making our way around. Definitely would stay her again.
The apartment was exactly what our family of four needed while traveling with two young children (ages 5 & 10). Conveniently located in a safe, walkable neighborhood with plenty of on the street parking available. Apartment is sparsely decorated but well lit and fairly spacious. Only complaints were the creaking floors and loud voices upstairs and only 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper left for our use. Also, the sofa bed is shaped in a way that doesnât allow a fitted sheet to be used, but you get creative. That being said, great value for the price compared to local hotels.
In a great area near everything and the perfect amount of space for 2 people. Comfortable bed and setup, however you do hear the guests above you getting ready in the morning and the shades for the windows donât really block out the sun. I also didnât get a response to messages I sent through the app until I called the day of. But overall we enjoyed our time and would potentially stay here again.
We stayed in a basement VRBO apartment. It is close to the Metro Station, easy to get around the city. The apartment was clean, bed was good. This place will work for two people. The third person can sleep on the futon, but there are no blankets for them. We were suppose to have three, but our grandson wasnât able to go at the last minute. The cooking odors from above travel down and there is noise from those walking upstairs.
Apartment was fine but upon arrival there was no toilet paper. Went to owner at main entrance and he said it wasnât his problem and we had interrupted his dinner. Called management and they agreed to bring some over in 30 minutes. Didnât do it til the next day. Also there were damp linens in dryer, so didnât use it. A full glass mirror was propped up against wall in living room - a real safety hazard if young children there.
This was our first stop in our vacation and we were so disappointed by our experience. The clean up of the unit wasnât done appropriately - if it was⊠We had to clean up the sheet as we saw stain. We also clean up the bathroom as there where many hairs everywhere. The unit would also benefit of a painting refresh. Finally, communication wasnât efficient and had to wait for 24hour for feedback. This was our worst experience through renting unit journey.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and comfortable. The location is great, especially if you enjoy exploring on foot. You can walk all the way to the National Mall, grocery stores and cafes. We did have a rental car and the host sent us the necessary permit for parking in the neighborhood. We did not have any issues finding parking on the street. The bed was comfortable and the couch worked well for our teen. It was nice to have a fridge and a washer and dryer in the unit. Be warned if you cook, the smoke detectors are very sensitive. It went off even with no smoke or anything! We just cracked the door after the first time and didnât have that issue again. I would say the one negative about the location is that you can hear every step the upstairs neighbors take so if you are a light sleeper be warned. If we come to DC again we would absolutely stay here. Thank you so much!
The apartment was cute and clean. The bed was supposed to be a king, but it was a queen. Host said parking was available upon request. Told him I needed it weeks in advance. Needed a parking permit. Weâre not from a big city and I had no idea about this. Not only did he not take care of it ahead of time, but I had to ask him 5 times over 2 days to get it once we got there and discovered we needed it. His âhousekeeperâ left moldy smelling clothes in the washer and dryer and his solution was donât use the washer/dryer. Only two towels were provided for four people. The kitchen was so sparsely furnished. Literally 4 forks, spoons, and butter knives. One slotted spoon, one normal spoon, etc. He had a tv, but no services whatsoever. No cable or streaming services were on it. There were probably 50 dvds. But no dvd player. No games for the kids. Nothing. So absolutely no entertainment provided at all. If this had been owned by a host that cared, it would have been a great stay. The couch with trundle bed fell apart. Cheap furniture everywhere. No pillows or blankets besides few on the bed. And I hope you like the temperature the guy living upstairs likes. Because there was no thermostat or fans to be able to adjust it if you are cold or hot. There were two wall mounted units, but they did not work.
This little gem was a great find for our visit to DC. On a quiet street just a short walk to local coffee shop. The basement apartment still had plenty of light and was lovely. Kitchen and bath appeared to be recently renovated. Just a short Lyft ride to all the attractions. Owner was quick to respond to questions and was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Very easy checkin entry and exit. The home is also very clean and comfortable. We stayed there during the 4th of July so plenty of fireworks throughout DC neighborhoods but the city cleaned up early the next morning...amazing! This is a basement level facility so there are upstairs footsteps but quiet after 11:pm...earplugs worked for excellent sleeping since the bed is VERY comfortable. All in all, we would enjoy staying here again!
